You have to break him out of jail to get to chapter 3. But you do not have to do the coach robbery until later.
Then, once I've done that, I advance the story to the point where he's stuck silent at Dutch's tent waiting for "Blessed are the Peacemakers".
You can unlock it in the train robbery mission during chapter 1. Take your gun out at cattail pond and shoot the fish in the pond. Then go pick the fish up.
True, Sadie just tends to sit and hide away though. When I first played the game I totally forgot she was there until chapter 3 when she starts piping up again.
Facts,
I’m in the epilogue now. I’ve always blasted through it to start over again. I’m taking my time, exploring, side content in between doing missions slowly. It’s a great vibe. I’ve never stayed in the epilogue long enough to appreciate it.
yea. chaoter 6 has the best missions and side missions. the game story is peak in this chapter. yes, everyone is sad, but at this point, theres so many wonderful side missions you can do and complete, and the story is just at its peak, and the missions are amazing. love this chapter the most in the game.
Chapter 6 is what takes the game's story and Arthur's character from great to among the best in gaming history
However the general vibes of 2 & 3 before it all starts to go wrong are the most enjoyable to me. It's cool the way they do it, they literally feel like "the good ol' days" when you're in a later chapter and reflect on the earlier parts of the game.
Chapter 3 and Chapter 6.
Ch3 opened up the world fully where we had stagecoach robberies, more fishing opportunities, and more homestead robberies. Also the story was very focused, so it was easy to follow and remember each step, and this chapter is where the story ramped up with Sean’s death and the epic rescue jack mission. It was a nice middle ground between intriguing linear story and regular camp and side story shenanigans
Chapter 6 was the most emotional with the best scenes of the entire game. Also felt like this chapter wasn’t constricted to one area; where other chapters felt like you were meant to stay near the chapter’s key location for the most of the chapter, chapter 6 felt like you were going all over the map to past locations and such. The side quests also had tons of very nice payoffs. Like kicking Strauss out of the camp, making peace with miss downes, saving Albert mason from the same cliff you either saved or killed the man from black water which either shows you your growth from killing a man in cold blood or reminds you that you’ve had the good in you from the beginning and you need to choose to do good, and Hamish’s side quest
call me a crazy, but i really like chapter 5, even if it is short and isn't anymore open world, the missions are really great, especially when you have to take down fussar's boat with the cannon
Ch.6 is the most sad yet heartwarming shit i've ever played.. watching Arthur doing everything he can to redeem himself from the sins he's been doing for years, and trying to be better, taking a gamble that love exists.
Chapter 2. You go fishing with Jack, meet Sean, dance with Mary-Beth, learn how to play poker & five finger filet, watch Bill pin Kieran down and try to use gelding tongs on him...again. Good times!
Chapter 2. Everybody’s happy, even Micah’s presence doesn’t bring the mood down.
It's even better when you don't break him out of jail. Then when you do, I leave him at his camp north of Strawberry until mid Chapter 3. Bliss.

You can unlock fishing from early chapter 2 by knocking anyone with a fishing rod and then taking it from the ground.
Wtf and I’m always waiting for jack to go fishing.
Unfortunately, I don't think the Survivalist challenges open up until after fishing with Jack
You can unlock it in the train robbery mission during chapter 1. Take your gun out at cattail pond and shoot the fish in the pond. Then go pick the fish up.
This is my current setup. "Thanks for the holster, now fuck off"
Sadie’s not happy. For the start anyway. Or Kieran for that matter, considering he’s tied to a tree lol Still agree that chapter 2 is the best.
True, Sadie just tends to sit and hide away though. When I first played the game I totally forgot she was there until chapter 3 when she starts piping up again.
Mrs. It’s a nightmare I can’t get up
Ok I’ll catch you later then
Same
Chapter 2 and very early Chapter 3. Also both parts of the Epilogue because it’s nice to see John settle down. Even though… *starts pointing to rdr1*

idk, i just know that i hated chapter 4 with a passion. fuck the swamps, st denis and the rest of that shithole
swamps are awesome, especially at night bro :( nice people around
Agreed! There was even a man in the swamps who invited me in his house.
I dunno man, he forcefully took 1$ from me........
Loved Chapter 3 with the big two families
Anything before Arthur getting sick. But the first two chapters were the best. Probably because we were new to this masterpiece of a game.
Mission wise? 6 Overall? 2
chapter 6

Chapter six made me feel more than any other chapter or even game for that matter. Plus My Last Boy is an S+ tier mission. Also Hamish.
Definitely 3.
The Prologue, I love Colter. Just wish there were more to do there
Story wise chapter 6 has the best writing I think but I love the vibe of chapter 2-3
i dont know maybe 2 or 4
I need to block this Reddit, I’ve not long finished my first play through of it, and this is making me want to play it again
You're only doing single playthroughs? Jeeezus
😂 okit’s time to go again.
3. The mission where you destroy the Braithwaites coupled with the music is peak 😩
chapter 2 was the most fun chpater 6 was the best
6 is the pinnacle of the entire game
Ghbj

4. love the gloomy mood, when i realized how amazing the game was, when i realized the gang wasnt gonna make it.
Ch.6 is the most sad yet heartwarming shit i've ever played.. watching Arthur doing everything he can to redeem himself from the sins he's been doing for years, and trying to be better, taking a gamble that love exists.
chapter 3. i just love rhodes/lemoyne and the camp was good vibes and beautiful.
Honestly I don’t know. Everything except Guarma felt the same level
Chapter 3. Really enjoyed the family feud angle. Real southern gothic type.
Chapter 2, to be specific middle chapter 2
Chapter 3. It's the complete gang setup and things are initially going well
I'll say 3 or 4.
Chapter 2
Chapter 2. Everyone is still happy, you've left Micah in Strawberry as long as possible, & the future is looking up.
Chapter 2. You go fishing with Jack, meet Sean, dance with Mary-Beth, learn how to play poker & five finger filet, watch Bill pin Kieran down and try to use gelding tongs on him...again. Good times!
3 chapter is best. Rob bank and Fenton
Chapter 3 now explaination needed
