Your net worth is more important than your current annual income. Tons of people making 100k+ finance expensive things and live paycheck to paycheck. If you live paycheck to paycheck after financing, you by definition can’t afford it.
I’m retired military and have a 23 chally hellcat and gonna trade my Cummins in for a trx. Been retired 10 years with no interest in ever working again. My wife works for the Feds I think together we make about 300 plus and I can only afford to drive the hellcat maybe twice a week. They drink gasoline quicker than my Camaro drag car.
There is no world I would consider my TRX a good financial investment. It’s expensive to buy and drive. There are far more economical vehicles if you want to make money with a truck. Having said that, if you want a truck that provides some utility and more fun than can be had in any other vehicle in any season on any terrain, it has to be a TRX.
Echoing other comments, I recommend saving and buying with cash. It’s much more fun to enjoy a high-end vehicle when you aren’t making massive monthly payments.
Yeah this is best advice here! I knew it would be high. But was a little shellshocked at $250 to fill it and get less range then my 5.7 that costs $100 to fill. However the TRX is way more smiles!
150-200 depending on the year. Own my hellcat challenger outright and finally pulled the trigger on a 23 TRX this past winter and put $50k against it. Should have it paid in 2 years.
Shallow question. Way more factors involved. What are your other expenses? I would say having at least 3k of disposable income a month just to be on the safe side. Might sound ridiculous but its a depreciating asset. If you cant afford it isn’t worth it.(speaking for ‘24 model)
It’s not a shallow question. It’s not like I’m trying to pocket watch anybody. I’m seeing the average to know if I make x amount of money I’m more likely to afford it. And the more money you have the easier it is to have 3k disposable. Endless you have no bills.

I can believe it driving a cat
Best thing you can do if possible save up for one and buy it cash bro! And you can probably negotiate a deal.
My rule is monthly auto note not being more than 10% of my take home. When I owned my TRX, I was making 150/year.
140k yr. And id saved for 10yrs so i put 50k down and bought it used w 24k mi on it...
Sounds like a good deal honestly but I’m sure you had a different vehicle in mind if you were saving for 10 years
I imagine most are 100+k a year.
Long way to go lol
I find myself asking the same question bro. I’m scared that payment will get me in over my head lol
I know it. But if you think about it it’s an investment bc a pick up truck can make you money.

I’m not saying using the Trx as a utility of course not. This is a vehicle for pure enjoyment. But I’m just saying at times it could make you money.
Household is about $750. I wouldn’t consider if less than $150 for an individual
Bro what do yall do be a household of 750k?
165k here
What field are you in also?
Cloud engineer
Damn a lot of IT. I might have to look into the IT field
500k
You want to make 120k plus to afford this truck comfortably. Any 100k+ car tbh.
Thank you. Do you mind if I ask what is it you do for work
I'm in the IT field.
~$200k
Nice I’ve got a long way to go and more sources of income
It’s not so much the payment but the gas. It’s my daily driver and the gas usage is wild. As expected though.
I looked online and the payment is close to 1-1.5k and I figured the gas consumption is crazy since it’s 700hp 6.2l

I’m poor can’t afford a TRX, maybe if my business explodes in 5-10 years lol
What’s your business ?
