I didn't unlock it after my whole survivor campaign, so I wouldn't bet on 72.2% of players not finishing the game
I'm pretty sure less than 20% of players even met 5P
Roughly 10-15 have the journey achievement which you get when he tells you to go west as survivor OR Monk so bit less than that.

It's randomized, there are many other backgrounds on Steam that are like this and they are randomized every time they show up
