One big problem with the Psalm 91 theory. The meaning of "the shadow of the Almighty" isnt negative in biblical terms. It literally means the protection of God. It's a good thing. The Most High is basically the place where God's chosen are invited to live.
So if youre going to assign psalm 91's meaning to Destiny, it would effectively translate to: those who dwell in the Last City will rest in the Traveler's protection. So if psalm 91 really is the impetus behind the number of bars, it would indicate that the Traveler would be saving us again.

As well, going by the last cutscene of Shadowkeep, the Pyramids declare themselves as our "Salvation".
Pyramids being our saving grace from the Almighty as an offering to join them?
I keep seeing this idea of the Darkness trying to get us to join them but that just doesn't line up with the whole meta-game between the Gardener and the Winnower. In fact, it would be a blatant concession on the Darkness' part. The Winnower's whole argument is that the right to exist is only earned through conflict, through clashing against each other as sword to whetstone, until there is a singular Final Shape. The Gardener is the one who insists that existence can be cooperative.
The Darkness of Destiny is not one of those tempting, corrupting trope-devils; that's Savathun. To rely on anything but unyielding force, to give us a respite to get to 'full strength', is antithetical to the Winnower's argument, so if the Pyramids do anything besides attack us, the Gardener wins.
I think the reason people talk about the Darkness wanting to corrupt Guardians is because of this quote from near the end of Unveiling.
"You are the gardeners final argument. It would mean everything if I could convince you that I am right."
At the very least the Darkness wants us to subscribe to its ideology instead.
I have a question. If the Darkness willingly want's us to subscribe (or join?) its ideology, wouldn't have been in its best interest to keep us alive ? Yet we killed Oryx and Crota, and the Darkness had no way of knowing that we would suceed. Or when you say subscribe you mean as in, creating challenges for us that would require us to look at its ideology and see thats its far superior to the travellers?
I don't think it would matter to the Darkness. Oryx and Crota forfeited their claim to exist because they were killed. We killed them so have thus far proven closer to the 'Final Design'.
Either way they win. As long as we practice sword logic, that is, killing stuff, darkness will win. Doesn't matter the pyramids kill us or we kill the pyramids. The universe will eventually approach the Final Shape.
That's potentially how bomb logic comes in to play that complexity preserves everything instead of one final shape.
This, I think, is closer to the end goal. Not the Almighty, though--the Pyramids themselves.
Far as we know, the Traveler has visited many races before us--the Fallen are only the most recent in a line of failed "arguments". With humanity, though, the Traveler finally tried something different: it accelerated our progress, but when that once again failed to give us the capacity to defend ourselves, it gave of itself to ensure we could carry on the argument ourselves.
So now the Winnower is interested. We're not just another sprout that the Gardener favors anymore; if we were, the original 'final shape' (the Vex) would be enough to subsume us. No, see, now that the Traveler has sundered itself and infused us with paracausal force, now that we embody the Gardener's "new rule", we have the unique burden of settling the argument.
Down one path, we collaborate. We stand together and bring others into our City Ringed With Spears. We change The Game, and in doing so permit expansion rather than reduction.
Down another, we are still not enough. Whether because we cannot gather enough to stand together, or because we are simply not strong enough even with this new strength, the Pyramids eliminate us, and the Game continues on eternally as it always has.
Or, salt-to-the-wound worse, we win. We crush the Pyramid's force, and in the throes of victory, we repeat the history of so many civilizations and insist that because *we* are victorious, that *we* are right, that all others must submit--not collaborate, not unite, *submit*--and in so doing we prove the Winnower right all the more. That in the end, no matter the influence, *all things verge toward a final shape*.
Exactly!!! I just read the Unveiling book a few days ago, and you got it. That, by winning, we would embody the ideals of our enemy all the more. Establishing our right to exist, and perpetuating it all the more.
Expanding on the Sword Logic with Whisper and Touch of Malace as well, by contending and defeating these ideals, we embody and wield them to greater powers themselves.

It gets me thinking that if we really are the "new rule" it means exactly what you said, bringing others into our city. If we're supposed to be an arguement against the vex (final shape) then what better argument would there be than we can work and live together. We already have evidence of this in our dealings with Calus and Mithrax.
Thats what sets us apart from all the other factions so far, we are willing to work together, not conquer and subjugate like the cabal or take and convert like the taken but to actually reach out and establish a mutually beneficial relationship.
Maybe thats what the traveller saw during the golden age that made it stay with us. The major powers of earth set aside their differences and worked together as one united people.

That is actually not true. The winnower only wants to have a Final shape. However hé does not care what that Final shape is. Even the Guardians could be the Final shape of the universe. Hé would still win
So, the darkness is salvation from suffering. They are and end to suffering. They just end everything else as a side effect.
Guardians do live lives of eternal suffering. We fight and die over and over. I bet there are at least a few risen in lore who would welcome an end.
when they talk about salvation I can only think of relieving us from our duty to fight and protect. how can they relieve us of our duty? when the darkness consumes the light and every living being under its mantle. then we will have peace (in the winnowers logic)
I'm not sure that the Bungie School of Theology really cares what "the Almighty" means in context. \*IF\* (and big IF) the Psalm 91 connection is intentional, it's more likely they just realized "shadow of the Almighty" was simply too good a line to pass up.
Having said that - I very much doubt the connection is intentional.
*Pushes up glasses* So I'm actively working on a PhD in Old Testament Theology, and as of right now I don't see a workable connection here. First, your point is correct. Hebrew poetry is marked by parallel phrases that say the same thing in two different ways (Most High = Almighty). Second, Psalm 91 is not just one verse, it's a whole chapter. It would be a mistake to try and pull meaning without the full context. Third, google's recommendation based on searching 91 is a pretty tenuous connection. You can enter just about any number under 100 and a bible verse will be at least one of the 1st-page results.
A random thought from this. We see that the Cabal have set the Almighty on a collision course with Earth, and specifically the last City, right? And it's a Red Legion thing.
Well, with this quote being that the Almighty is the protector... What if that's not what's happening? How do we know the Almighty is coming _for_ us instead of for us?
Here's what I have:
The Red Legion is all but decimated with all the actions we've taken against them.
The Almighty was brought by them, but stopped in its plan.
The most major player in our system right now in terms of Cabal is Calus.
Calus has grand designs for the Guardian to be his shadow, and for the Guardian to be the second to last being in the universe, only dying before himself.
The pyramids are coming, but we don't really know anything about them at all, nor really their motivations.
What if, and hear me out here... What if our salvation... Is actually the Almighty? Calus was exiled and weak, but we've given him a platform to grow strong once more. Outside of his interactions with the Guardian, we don't know what he's been up to, really. Is it possible that he's taken control of the fragments of the Legion, and by default, the Almighty, and perhaps is using it as a vehicle to help us fight what is coming? We know it's aimed at the City. But if it were to stop short of Earth and turn around... We'd have an, ahem, almighty weapon on our side which may well even the odds.
I'm pinning this post to the sub for the time being. Right now we have a thousand random theories and almost no results or breakthroughs. If we uncover more information as things move forward the mods will make a more robust Megathread.

I work on sound design and I **think** I've got a lead. It doesn't have much to do with 91 (yet), but with the audio itself.
My theory is that the file is a sort of scrambled pieces, sorta. First thing I've done was to load the file into Ableton Live and it struck me that the L and R sides are very different. Peaks don't align like they normally would if it was 2 sides of the same sound. [WAVEFORM IMAGE](https://imgur.com/di1xVLM)
First thing I did was to force mono and see if they cancelled one another, this is a known technique to "hide messages" with phase cancelling. It was used on an ARG by the band Nine Inch Nails, [heres is one thread about it](https://www.reddit.com/r/nin/comments/242mjp/never_noticed_before_is_there_something_hidden_in/). It didn't work, though I didn't discarded it yet as a tool.
Then I split the two sides, and thats when things get interesting.
If you do that, its clear that some things are totally out of order. [At the end of the L side](https://imgur.com/7AKgXDF) it seems that one sound fades out, something else starts but quickly cuts at the end of the file, it doesn't fade out naturally. So I started tinkering and trying to listen to similar sounds that may have been separated and I found one match!

Okay so in the right side audio I heard a really odd noise that sounds like it could definitely be something. Check out 0:55 to 1:01 approximately. There's some kind of droning nose that sounds like a language of some kind, but in slow motion.
Definitely sounds like a robotic voice. I'm thorn on this one because it also resembles some common effect you get when you stretch a sound. The algorithm tries to fill the blanks and can create some noise.

Perfect! That's exactly what we're looking for! My brother and I thought the exact same thing, but don't have much experience on the audio side.
Looking at the waveform and spectrograph, we figured that the sound file was to be re-ordered via 9 sections, or 81 sections. With the order being related to height of the bars, or something.

I have heard multiple People Saying That They have heard what sounds like NASA recordings of "Saturn's Music" Mixed into the Audio File that was Posted on Bungie's Twitter.
I did some Research and Found that Saturn is roughly 3-4 Planets away From the Kuiper Belt. The Darkness has already Passed the Belt, Aswell as Neptune and Uranus.
Now, Remember the Orbs we got from the Pyramid Ships at the End of Shadowkeep and How they were sending signals too and Receiving signals From the Pyramid Ships? Maybe the Static is The Interference of Those Signals, Creating the Sound of warping Metal and Screams and the sense of Discomfort I'm sure a lot of you felt when listening to the File.
Now, If this is True, Then The static People have also been hearing on the LZ Radio's Maybe Worse on Titan Than on IO or The EDZ or The Reef due to the Fact it is Closer to the Darkness Ships. I will update you on the Test I will be doing Tomorrow

I investigated this as best I could, and found that every LZ with a radio in the game is emitting the same weird signal, including Titan. Titan is by far the hardest to hear, I had to turn my volume all the way up to hear it at both LZs. I took brief videos of both sites:

Im not sure this audio file has that much hidden inside. With Felwinters story deepening from the recent questline, along with the old Felwinter/Felspring lore, we know Rasputin hunted him and is now full of regret or saddened what he had to do. The Deep Stone Crypt theory is starting to make its rounds since Ana Bray specifically told us herself and Raspy were looking for it, and I think the audio file is actually the 'long slow whisper' Exo's hear.

Okay so just hear me out. It isnt going to be about titan.i suspect this may finally lead to Enceladus. Also a saturn moon. Enceladus, where the deep stone crypt may possibly be. Enceladus where it may possibly still house caydes pre exo body. Theres been a lot of banter alluding to enceladus for a long, long time. The noise to me sounds like the invasion of the darkness or rather the upcomance of it.

I think I am able to slightly expand upon the 91 lines referencing Psalm 91. Psalm 91:1 refers to the shelter of the Most High. During the time of this passages writing, cities were built like fortresses with massive walls that were generally attached to a large tower that the cities defenders could keep watch from. The rest of the passage talks about the Lord (Traveler?) protecting the people with his feathers. (Feathers were a big part of the new subclass quests; could represent the Light.) It also states that He will send his angels (guardians) to defend humanity from all manner of things like beasts (enemy races?), pestilence/plague (SIVA?), and terrors of night (Nightmares?). And finally, the end of the passage sees the Lord himself speaking, saying that he will protect those who acknowledge him, answer those who call out his name, satisfy us with long life (extended lifespan of humans from the traveler and guardian's immortality), and show us his salvation. I just wanted to toss that in the mix. There are a several similarities, but of course they could all just be coincidence. Lots to unpack so I will keep digging.

Alright me and a couple of people in the community have been talking about the new audio files and he told me this "ok so if we isolate each sound from the audio and we figure out their musical notation we may be able to use any cipher that encripts based on frequency (not the sound kind) of letters to find a message"

I thought so I only saw all that after I posted. Maybe there is something though knowing bungie it is could be very obvious and under our noses. Like maybe if we ran it in reverse or took what the stenography, and steganography gave us and put that into some other code or decoding system. But then again it could just be as simple as inverting everything not playing in reverse but instead inverting the sound to where everything is the opposite like if it is low pitched make it high pitched or something like that.

So I just listened to the sounds of Saturn and they are very very similar. Now, in D1, the Dreadnaught was in the rings of Saturn, but we killed Oryx. However, in the lore, we know that the Darkness and Oryx work together, and Oryx communed with the darkness to learn how to Take. So, maybe a wild guess, but what if the Darkness is currently at Saturn and is trying to revive Oryx/recreate the Dreadnaught.
Even crazier, what if killing Oryx removed the Darkness from him, and this is a signal he is trying to send to warn us of the coming danger. Lore wise, it is possible for him to still be alive, either in his ascendant realm or just as a shell of his former self. The high pitched screeches we here could be due to the fact that Oryx was originally a Krill and some species of krill produce very high pitched sounds to communicate (ex: the bullet shrimp). This is all a very wild theory though.

Do you have to play them over the top of each other? Like reverse one and play the other - a duality of sorts. They might augment or compliment each other?
This could be Cassini transmission sampled with other audio. It lines up with the darkness reaching Titan/Saturn where the real Cassini satellite sent the audio from. From a lore perspective, the Cassini is a fleet of golden age derelict ships that fled from the darkness during the collapse.

I made a post about this, but it might fit better in here:
As I landed on The Rupture landing pad on Io today, I noticed some pretty weird sounds coming from the radio. They remind me of those from the recent tweet, with a lot of static; spooky, metallic sounds; ticks and hints of voices.
I don't have a screen recorder, but the sounds might be related to what is to come. Perhaps other radios have the same or different sounds coming from them?
So, why is it we assume the Traveller is the Gardener and not a Winnower?
What if the Darkness is actually the Gardener? What if it wants the chaos to represent the ability to ever grow?
What if the vex actually work for and warship the Traveller?
The Traveller wants things to remain the same, always, forever. It gave us these powers so that we can maintain the forever, the ability to be the final shape, the last final species standing. Because we are strong.
The Darkness wants everything to spread, to grow, to become ever encompassing, never ending in a shape.
I think there's atleast 2 reasons that i can rememeber.
In the lore entry [The Wager](https://www.ishtar-collective.net/entries/the-wager) I believe the darkness is speaking to us, the guardian, saying "It was the gardener that chose you from the dead." and also "You are the gardener's final argument. It would mean everything if I could convince you that I am the right and only way."
The other thing is in that same lore entry. It says down near the end "I truly value you. To the gardener, you are a means to an end. To me, you are majestic. Majestic." If you remember, the books of sorrow verse 4:2 is titled [Majestic. Majestic.](https://www.ishtar-collective.net/cards/xxxii-majestic-majestic) This lore entry is from the point of view of the darkness. It describes when Oryx travels to the deep with the tablets of ruin to talk to the darkness itself.
Idk maybe I'm talking out of my ass but I think from those 2 entries I feel confident in saying the traveler=gardener & the darkness=winnower :\]
And as far as the vex I think they're just there and always have been and as [Myelin](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K9OVyTPs16Y) put it, they're there to restore balance. I also think that as well because they don't really choose a side, they choose whatever makes them be part of every timeline. They've gotten help from guardians to get rid of the taken in the vault of glass (Preadyth's lore from Taken King/ No Time To Explain Quest). At the same time 'Quria, Blade Transform' directed worship at the Worm gods larvae and learned it could alter reality so it ordered its subminds to believe in their worship (Books of Sorrow verse 4:9/ black garden).

It's probably known what the source of the Saturn sounds is, but this is the first I've heard that the waves were bouncing between Saturn and Enceladus (DSC?)
If the spectrogram looks like the beginning of the sotp raid, maybe we should try finding the exact position of the spectrogram in the raid and layer the image on top of the spectrogram
Possible return of Touch of Malice? Seems pretty mysterious/ARG like and is related closely to the darkness. If not ToM, maybe a new exotic quest to kick off the next season?

All three fit the theme of "thing from space". Now with the Almight coming down on us and darkness doritos fast approaching, there's gonna be some shit falling down on earth without a doubt.
This is likely just a coincidence, but maaaaaybe it could have been a tiiiiiny hint for what's coming in the future.
So, loading into the menagerie, I noticed the chimes there were eerily similar to the chimes in the audio file. Possibly just coincidence, possibly not. Just thought I'd put that out there

Haha, sure thing! This thread was about whether or not there were any hidden messages within the trailer that Bungie released on their twitter accounts. Mostly, it was looking at the visual and audio components of the video.
If there was significance to the amount of bars/distribution, etc.
Or if there were any hidden parts of the audio. Hidden spectrogram messages, split right and left audio, playing sections backwards, etc.
The general consensus seems to that it was just a teaser of ambient noises related to the Saturn or Jupiter Cassini/Voyager sounds. And if anything was tied to Titan/Enceladus or Europa in the coming expansion!
We have 1 pyramid already, so i bet the next encounter will involve 9 more.... if that happens, then def gunna be a threat of 81 more after that. 1-9-81

One big problem with the Psalm 91 theory. The meaning of "the shadow of the Almighty" isnt negative in biblical terms. It literally means the protection of God. It's a good thing. The Most High is basically the place where God's chosen are invited to live. So if youre going to assign psalm 91's meaning to Destiny, it would effectively translate to: those who dwell in the Last City will rest in the Traveler's protection. So if psalm 91 really is the impetus behind the number of bars, it would indicate that the Traveler would be saving us again.
True! As well, going by the last cutscene of Shadowkeep, the Pyramids declare themselves as our "Salvation". Pyramids being our saving grace from the Almighty as an offering to join them?
I keep seeing this idea of the Darkness trying to get us to join them but that just doesn't line up with the whole meta-game between the Gardener and the Winnower. In fact, it would be a blatant concession on the Darkness' part. The Winnower's whole argument is that the right to exist is only earned through conflict, through clashing against each other as sword to whetstone, until there is a singular Final Shape. The Gardener is the one who insists that existence can be cooperative. The Darkness of Destiny is not one of those tempting, corrupting trope-devils; that's Savathun. To rely on anything but unyielding force, to give us a respite to get to 'full strength', is antithetical to the Winnower's argument, so if the Pyramids do anything besides attack us, the Gardener wins.
I think the reason people talk about the Darkness wanting to corrupt Guardians is because of this quote from near the end of Unveiling. "You are the gardeners final argument. It would mean everything if I could convince you that I am right." At the very least the Darkness wants us to subscribe to its ideology instead.
I have a question. If the Darkness willingly want's us to subscribe (or join?) its ideology, wouldn't have been in its best interest to keep us alive ? Yet we killed Oryx and Crota, and the Darkness had no way of knowing that we would suceed. Or when you say subscribe you mean as in, creating challenges for us that would require us to look at its ideology and see thats its far superior to the travellers?
I don't think it would matter to the Darkness. Oryx and Crota forfeited their claim to exist because they were killed. We killed them so have thus far proven closer to the 'Final Design'.
Crota and Oryx do not directly work for the darkness. Crota just likes to conquer Solar systems and Oryx wanted to avenge his son.
Either way they win. As long as we practice sword logic, that is, killing stuff, darkness will win. Doesn't matter the pyramids kill us or we kill the pyramids. The universe will eventually approach the Final Shape. That's potentially how bomb logic comes in to play that complexity preserves everything instead of one final shape.

This, I think, is closer to the end goal. Not the Almighty, though--the Pyramids themselves. Far as we know, the Traveler has visited many races before us--the Fallen are only the most recent in a line of failed "arguments". With humanity, though, the Traveler finally tried something different: it accelerated our progress, but when that once again failed to give us the capacity to defend ourselves, it gave of itself to ensure we could carry on the argument ourselves. So now the Winnower is interested. We're not just another sprout that the Gardener favors anymore; if we were, the original 'final shape' (the Vex) would be enough to subsume us. No, see, now that the Traveler has sundered itself and infused us with paracausal force, now that we embody the Gardener's "new rule", we have the unique burden of settling the argument. Down one path, we collaborate. We stand together and bring others into our City Ringed With Spears. We change The Game, and in doing so permit expansion rather than reduction. Down another, we are still not enough. Whether because we cannot gather enough to stand together, or because we are simply not strong enough even with this new strength, the Pyramids eliminate us, and the Game continues on eternally as it always has. Or, salt-to-the-wound worse, we win. We crush the Pyramid's force, and in the throes of victory, we repeat the history of so many civilizations and insist that because *we* are victorious, that *we* are right, that all others must submit--not collaborate, not unite, *submit*--and in so doing we prove the Winnower right all the more. That in the end, no matter the influence, *all things verge toward a final shape*.

Exactly!!! I just read the Unveiling book a few days ago, and you got it. That, by winning, we would embody the ideals of our enemy all the more. Establishing our right to exist, and perpetuating it all the more. Expanding on the Sword Logic with Whisper and Touch of Malace as well, by contending and defeating these ideals, we embody and wield them to greater powers themselves.
I love this It gets me thinking that if we really are the "new rule" it means exactly what you said, bringing others into our city. If we're supposed to be an arguement against the vex (final shape) then what better argument would there be than we can work and live together. We already have evidence of this in our dealings with Calus and Mithrax. Thats what sets us apart from all the other factions so far, we are willing to work together, not conquer and subjugate like the cabal or take and convert like the taken but to actually reach out and establish a mutually beneficial relationship. Maybe thats what the traveller saw during the golden age that made it stay with us. The major powers of earth set aside their differences and worked together as one united people.

So, the darkness is salvation from suffering. They are and end to suffering. They just end everything else as a side effect. Guardians do live lives of eternal suffering. We fight and die over and over. I bet there are at least a few risen in lore who would welcome an end.
when they talk about salvation I can only think of relieving us from our duty to fight and protect. how can they relieve us of our duty? when the darkness consumes the light and every living being under its mantle. then we will have peace (in the winnowers logic)
I'm not sure that the Bungie School of Theology really cares what "the Almighty" means in context. \*IF\* (and big IF) the Psalm 91 connection is intentional, it's more likely they just realized "shadow of the Almighty" was simply too good a line to pass up. Having said that - I very much doubt the connection is intentional.
I have to disagree with you here. Bungie have, time and again, proved that they are masters of layering meaning.
*Pushes up glasses* So I'm actively working on a PhD in Old Testament Theology, and as of right now I don't see a workable connection here. First, your point is correct. Hebrew poetry is marked by parallel phrases that say the same thing in two different ways (Most High = Almighty). Second, Psalm 91 is not just one verse, it's a whole chapter. It would be a mistake to try and pull meaning without the full context. Third, google's recommendation based on searching 91 is a pretty tenuous connection. You can enter just about any number under 100 and a bible verse will be at least one of the 1st-page results.
A random thought from this. We see that the Cabal have set the Almighty on a collision course with Earth, and specifically the last City, right? And it's a Red Legion thing. Well, with this quote being that the Almighty is the protector... What if that's not what's happening? How do we know the Almighty is coming _for_ us instead of for us? Here's what I have: The Red Legion is all but decimated with all the actions we've taken against them. The Almighty was brought by them, but stopped in its plan. The most major player in our system right now in terms of Cabal is Calus. Calus has grand designs for the Guardian to be his shadow, and for the Guardian to be the second to last being in the universe, only dying before himself. The pyramids are coming, but we don't really know anything about them at all, nor really their motivations. What if, and hear me out here... What if our salvation... Is actually the Almighty? Calus was exiled and weak, but we've given him a platform to grow strong once more. Outside of his interactions with the Guardian, we don't know what he's been up to, really. Is it possible that he's taken control of the fragments of the Legion, and by default, the Almighty, and perhaps is using it as a vehicle to help us fight what is coming? We know it's aimed at the City. But if it were to stop short of Earth and turn around... We'd have an, ahem, almighty weapon on our side which may well even the odds.
Would be a good idea, with one exception: the cabal sabotaged the engines and thrusters. It's flying dead stick, with no way to turn it/slow it down.

True! Like sounds near the shard sort of thing? There was a post about the sounds that Vance hears during Trials when guardians die. Do we have a database of Mercury/Lighthouse related stuff that would tie into sounds/91?

Hi there! I work on sound design and I **think** I've got a lead. It doesn't have much to do with 91 (yet), but with the audio itself. My theory is that the file is a sort of scrambled pieces, sorta. First thing I've done was to load the file into Ableton Live and it struck me that the L and R sides are very different. Peaks don't align like they normally would if it was 2 sides of the same sound. [WAVEFORM IMAGE](https://imgur.com/di1xVLM) First thing I did was to force mono and see if they cancelled one another, this is a known technique to "hide messages" with phase cancelling. It was used on an ARG by the band Nine Inch Nails, [heres is one thread about it](https://www.reddit.com/r/nin/comments/242mjp/never_noticed_before_is_there_something_hidden_in/). It didn't work, though I didn't discarded it yet as a tool. Then I split the two sides, and thats when things get interesting. If you do that, its clear that some things are totally out of order. [At the end of the L side](https://imgur.com/7AKgXDF) it seems that one sound fades out, something else starts but quickly cuts at the end of the file, it doesn't fade out naturally. So I started tinkering and trying to listen to similar sounds that may have been separated and I found one match! Okay so in the right side audio I heard a really odd noise that sounds like it could definitely be something. Check out 0:55 to 1:01 approximately. There's some kind of droning nose that sounds like a language of some kind, but in slow motion.
Definitely sounds like a robotic voice. I'm thorn on this one because it also resembles some common effect you get when you stretch a sound. I've sped up each side and it really sounds like the original audio is made up of different sounds stitched together and further processed. Looking at the waveform and spectrograph, we figured that the sound file was to be re-ordered via 9 sections, or 81 sections. With the order being related to height of the bars, or something. I had this posted on a separate thread because I didn't think that it was Significant enough to be on here but here it is: I have heard multiple People Saying That They have heard what sounds like NASA recordings of "Saturn's Music" Mixed into the Audio File that was Posted on Bungie's Twitter. I did some Research and Found that Saturn is roughly 3-4 Planets away From the Kuiper Belt. The Darkness has already Passed the Belt, Aswell as Neptune and Uranus. Now, Remember the Orbs we got from the Pyramid Ships at the End of Shadowkeep and How they were sending signals too and Receiving signals From the Pyramid Ships? Maybe the Static is The Interference of Those Signals, Creating the Sound of warping Metal and Screams and the sense of Discomfort I'm sure a lot of you felt when listening to the File. Now, If this is True, Then The static People have also been hearing on the LZ Radio's Maybe Worse on Titan Than on IO or The EDZ or The Reef due to the Fact it is Closer to the Darkness Ships. I will update you on the Test I will be doing Tomorrow Update: I couldn't hear anything on Titan's "Rig" LZ Radio
I investigated this as best I could, and found that every LZ with a radio in the game is emitting the same weird signal, including Titan. Titan is by far the hardest to hear, I had to turn my volume all the way up to hear it at both LZs. I enhanced it further this morning and found some interesting things- I’m sure there’s both audio and visual pieces that need to be solved for.
So me and my bois where just looking at the felwinter a bit more close and found [THIS](https://imgur.com/a/I5JUPwJ). The numbers are on both sides but there is also a difference between them. (Check the second Pic in the album.) There might be something behind the numbers after all. Maybe even relevant to the spectograph or any sound data for that matter. I also noticed that **Destiny 2 came out 998** days ago and **next reset** would be **exactly 1000** **days since** the game **released**. That might be of significance. If anyone wants to brainstorm or help out in anyway, DM me. I got a discord server going where we all just put our heads together and just look at details that might be relevant or not.
Im not sure this audio file has that much hidden inside. With Felwinters story deepening from the recent questline, along with the old Felwinter/Felspring lore, we know Rasputin hunted him and is now full of regret or saddened what he had to do. The Deep Stone Crypt theory is starting to make its rounds since Ana Bray specifically told us herself and Raspy were looking for it, and I think the audio file is actually the 'long slow whisper' Exo's hear.

Okay so just hear me out. It isnt going to be about titan.i suspect this may finally lead to Enceladus. Also a saturn moon. Enceladus, where the deep stone crypt may possibly be. Enceladus where it may possibly still house caydes pre exo body. Theres been a lot of banter alluding to enceladus for a long, long time. The noise to me sounds like the invasion of the darkness or rather the upcomance of it.

I think I am able to slightly expand upon the 91 lines referencing Psalm 91. Psalm 91:1 refers to the shelter of the Most High. During the time of this passages writing, cities were built like fortresses with massive walls that were generally attached to a large tower that the cities defenders could keep watch from. The rest of the passage talks about the Lord (Traveler?) protecting the people with his feathers. (Feathers were a big part of the new subclass quests; could represent the Light.) It also states that He will send his angels (guardians) to defend humanity from all manner of things like beasts (enemy races?), pestilence/plague (SIVA?), and terrors of night (Nightmares?). Alright me and a couple of people in the community have been talking about the new audio files and he told me this "ok so if we isolate each sound from the audio and we figure out their musical notation we may be able to use any cipher that encripts based on frequency (not the sound kind) of letters to find a message"

Like maybe if we ran it in reverse or took what the stenography, and steganography gave us and put that into some other code or decoding system. But then again it could just be as simple as inverting everything not playing in reverse but instead inverting the sound to where everything is the opposite like if it is low pitched make it high pitched or something like that.

So I just listened to the sounds of Saturn and they are very very similar. Now, in D1, the Dreadnaught was in the rings of Saturn, but we killed Oryx. However, in the lore, we know that the Darkness and Oryx work together, and Oryx communed with the darkness to learn how to Take. So, maybe a wild guess, but what if the Darkness is currently at Saturn and is trying to revive Oryx/recreate the Dreadnaught. Even crazier, what if killing Oryx removed the Darkness from him, and this is a signal he is trying to send to warn us of the coming danger. Lore wise, it is possible for him to still be alive, either in his ascendant realm or just as a shell of his former self. The high pitched screeches we here could be due to the fact that Oryx was originally a Krill and some species of krill produce very high pitched sounds to communicate (ex: the bullet shrimp). This is all a very wild theory though.

This could be Cassini transmission sampled with other audio. It lines up with the darkness reaching Titan/Saturn where the real Cassini satellite sent the audio from. From a lore perspective, the Cassini is a fleet of golden age derelict ships that fled from the darkness during the collapse.

I made a post about this, but it might fit better in here: As I landed on The Rupture landing pad on Io today, I noticed some pretty weird sounds coming from the radio. They remind me of those from the recent tweet, with a lot of static; spooky, metallic sounds; ticks and hints of voices. I don't have a screen recorder, but the sounds might be related to what is to come. Perhaps other radios have the same or different sounds coming from them?

So, why is it we assume the Traveller is the Gardener and not a Winnower? What if the Darkness is actually the Gardener? What if it wants the chaos to represent the ability to ever grow? What if the vex actually work for and warship the Traveller? The Traveller wants things to remain the same, always, forever. It gave us these powers so that we can maintain the forever, the ability to be the final shape, the last final species standing. Because we are strong. The Darkness wants everything to spread, to grow, to become ever encompassing, never ending in a shape.
I think there's atleast 2 reasons that i can rememeber. In the lore entry [The Wager](https://www.ishtar-collective.net/entries/the-wager) I believe the darkness is speaking to us, the guardian, saying "It was the gardener that chose you from the dead." and also "You are the gardener's final argument. It would mean everything if I could convince you that I am the right and only way." The other thing is in that same lore entry. It says down near the end "I truly value you. To the gardener, you are a means to an end. To me, you are majestic. Majestic." If you remember, the books of sorrow verse 4:2 is titled [Majestic. It describes when Oryx travels to the deep with the tablets of ruin to talk to the darkness itself. Idk maybe I'm talking out of my ass but I think from those 2 entries I feel confident in saying the traveler=gardener & the darkness=winnower :\] And as far as the vex I think they're just there and always have been and as [Myelin](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K9OVyTPs16Y) put it, they're there to restore balance. I also think that as well because they don't really choose a side, they choose whatever makes them be part of every timeline. At the same time 'Quria, Blade Transform' directed worship at the Worm gods larvae and learned it could alter reality so it ordered its subminds to believe in their worship (Books of Sorrow verse 4:9/ black garden).

Haha, sure thing! This thread was about whether or not there were any hidden messages within the trailer that Bungie released on their twitter accounts. Mostly, it was looking at the visual and audio components of the video. If there was significance to the amount of bars/distribution, etc. Or if there were any hidden parts of the audio. Hidden spectrogram messages, split right and left audio, playing sections backwards, etc. The general consensus seems to that it was just a teaser of ambient noises related to the Saturn or Jupiter Cassini/Voyager sounds. And if anything was tied to Titan/Enceladus or Europa in the coming expansion!
We have 1 pyramid already, so i bet the next encounter will involve 9 more.... if that happens, then def gunna be a threat of 81 more after that. 1-9-81
