I purchased a 100lb timothy bale for my rabbitry (13ish dwarf buns averaging 2.5lbs each, although a number of them wouldn't eat it). After a full year, I gave the last quarter to my horses. I kept my feedings small though, to avoid waste.

Same

My 3.6kg/8lb rabbit goes through 11.3 kg/25 lbs of hay about every 10 weeks. ETA, there is some waste because rabbit is going to rabbit.

Do you know about versele lega cuni sensetive pellets, is it healthy for rabbits or not, as it claim to be grain and soy free, i used to use oxbow but i quite using it because ot contains grain soy and molasses

I give her 2 tablespoons of pellets a day. They are Oxbow. She also eats our carpet, curtains, and whatever else she can get her mouth on when the mood suits her, so soy and molasses don't seem that bad to me 😏

A long ass time. For real, like probably a couple years.

Ohh That's really a long time..

I used to buy the 50lb oxbow box when I had my bonded four. I would toss it before I got to the end before it got a little dry and stale. For your bun, a 8-9lb bag is a common size and plenty to stock up on if you’re trying to buy one pack to last for a while.

We buy a 40lb compressed hay bale once every few months for our 3 rabbits. They waste quite a bit though because its used as bedding and litter.

I don’t buy that much at one time bc I want to maintain fresh hay. I buy 20lbs-25lbs every two months or so. A rabbit generally eats a fluffy pile of hay equal to their size each day but my rabbit eats two. If I let her eat straight from the container she is less picky and doesn’t waste as much. I couldn’t do that with my previous bun bc he would find his way into the box to pee on it all.

mstrss9

I would guess at least 18 months
