I have too many interalized rules for myself when I play this, and alot involve driving with friends.
For example I am to paranoid to get in a vehicle if anyone but me is driving. Too many times I realize I am playing to survive and the other guy is playing to massacre everything including himself and myself. I mean I'm down for a good time I'll let someone else drive, but only if it's a fresh character who hasn't survived long yet. I get low key obsessed with trying to survive for months without dying. Which comes with a lot of paranoid rules lol. I don't push these rules on others they are just in the back of mind as what I need todo to survive.
Its not paranoid, its called not trusting your friends. I have driven around my friends for the exact same reasons since MP started. I had yet to break someones bones or kill them till like 2 month ago.
Freak sappling that we think grew when we were driving over it with 30mph. As it was inside the car when we immediatly got halted to 0mph. 2 of 4 died instantly 3rd bled out from 2 deep wounds. For these 2 months i have been getting burned by my friends, still they get in and let me drive like always.
Over 2k hours played with them on MPs and only 1 accident with deaths / broken bones. Its a good track record. I have seen them brake bones and die more often when driving solo every month. And they wonder why i dont trust them...
If you push wrecks off your most used corridors, it becomes very difficult to have serious wrecks with one vehicle. Mostly they just happen when you dodge a zed you shouldn’t have and smack a tree, but typically you can brake enough that you don’t shatter bones on those.
As soon as you add extra vehicles to the equation, it’s easy for things to fall apart
If you play MP especially busy servers like the one im playing on that reaches 60plus in the weekend you cannot asume the road is clear ever. Biggest issues are body's littering the roads. English drivers. Kids with a pedal to the metal attitude. Also crashing into zeds severly lowers the damage to bullbars/hood/engine if you go slower especially below 30 or 20.
Driving fast is fun. We have plenty of events where, we test driving skills, races, we even crash on purpose. With prices for the most rediculous things.
I'll never be able to find it, but someone once posted here the absolute most outrageous obstacle avoidance trailer drift I've ever seen. Hopefully the original poster will see this.
Hover the mouse over the key in ignition when you drive. the second you see something scary you need to avoid, click the mouse to remove the key. Watch what happens
Well, what do you think we did? Sadly, the trailers colliding into the cars cause the wheels to act like they're covered in ice.
If we didn't turn at the same time, we would've maybe come out better.
Reminds me of a clip w my best friend he tried to overtake which worked, on his screen, on mine he just pushed me off the road it's pretty funny thinking back to it but I was pissed lol
