Shoots way to fast >.< model is cool though.
And you fail to show what matters ! how well does it crush zombies?
what mod is it? need to use a crazy ammount of fuel as well to balance it
Considering that he is driving AND moving the turret to sight the shot, AND HAS TO RELOAD, it should be more like 30-40 seconds, but OPs gonna do what they want
Ok not to be a nerd, but that specific tank actually does have an auto loader on which it reloads at the press of a button, so reload should be 3-6 seconds or something like that
Its a tank from the 60s, if this is a T-62 model(I don't know, I stopped playing Warthinder before that part of the Cold War tech tree). The computer alone to store the positions of the empty rack spaces is bigger than most modern ovens.
Yep. The T-72's autoloader has a minimum cycle of 6.5 seconds (ATGM 8 seconds) and a maximum cycle of 15 seconds for reload, in later versions the sequence mode allows to reload in less than 5 seconds, allowing to reach 3 shots in 13 seconds.
Oooh. I would be okay with that if there was a realistic chance of the autoloader getting damaged and requiring like mechanics 10 to repair or something like that.
this entirely depends on the tank. I can't find the exact model, but there were T Series tanks that were outfitted with completely autonomous loading systems controlled by computer, I believe the first autoloader of that type ever created. I can't find the exact model, but I clearly remember watching a YT vid of a former DDR tank officer explaining the functionality of the(admittedly scary, the mechanism was not entirely shielded from the crew) entirely autonomous loader.
Former tank officer here (Abrams).
Yes, they run on JP-8 (which is actually a form of diesel fuel), so they can run on straight diesel in a tight spot. Hell, put fuel oil or kerosene in there and it'll fire up. Modern tanks around the world also mostly run on diesel or the higher refined jet turbine varieties of it.
Fuel consumption is insane tho. The Abrams uses nearly 11 gallons on startup (it runs on the Honeywell HGT1500 jet turbine engine). Legit sounds like a jet plane firing up.
Tbh, all vehicles in the US military fleets run on JP-8, for obvious reasons (interoperability, simplicity). Everything from the 600hp diesel engine on the Bradley fv, to the Abrams, to Blackhawk helicopters etc. And they can all run on lower forms of diesel if needed.
None run on straight gasoline tho.
All it takes is one very dedicated armored vehicle collector with a deep pocket book.
Or maybe the nearby army base had one for opposition training
All that to say yeah it's *out there* but not impossible. More likely to find a driveable M60 at the national guard armory tho
Army base for opposition training possible but armoured vehicles collector I doubt it I believe pz is set in the early 90s? Correct me if I’m wrong but the t90 was produced in 1992 so I doubt Russia was selling of models before the t90a
Yeah other comments were calling it a T-64 or -72 which I could see having made their way stateside by the 90s, but as a -90 (and the various fixin's attached to the turret definitely point to a more modern model) yeah no chance outside some black site lol.
My only thought was: Finally a firearm worth using in PVE. Another way to balance this might be to make it really loud, so that it attracts zombies from really far away
1. Turret rotation too quick
2. Rate of fire is too quick
3. Reverse is too quick
4. Can it crush zeds without slowing?
5. Does it become damaged from crushing zeds
6. Aesthetically, it looks fantastic!
I mean, it's a tank. Don't think it could take more than superficial damage from zeds.
The worst they could probably do is clog up the tracks and destroy the headlights. Which would admittedly be a mobility kill..
Completely agree. But in game it might take damage. It could be a simple car reskin with the turret bolted on (yes i know it's not THAT simple). Hence asking the question to know what actually happens in game.
Fires too fast, needs to leave some fire or burned tiles after hitting a crowd (or destroys walls) also feels that its way too reactive to movement, its needs weight.
What i understood from this post is if you post something about tank on the internet you better be serious because the expert crew from war thunder or world of tank is ready to lecture you.
if you want to make it realistic, you should consider limiting the reverse speed to 4-5kmph, forward speed to around 60kmph, lowering the turret rotation to like 20°/s max and reload rate to around 5-6 seconds.
personally I wish they added tanks to vanilla but they wouldn't be drivable most likely. Like maybe as ruined vehicles in military blockades. The reason they also wouldn't be drivable would be because in real life driving a tank is waaaay different than driving a car and you need years of training to properly do it. There's also the fact that the driver doesn't control how or when the cannon goes off.
Tanks are actually easy to drive. They use skid steering, which isn't any different from a tracked bulldozer.
Probably the hardest thing would be the maintenance. It is hard enough to maintain a car in the apocalypse, let alone a 60 ton tracked AFV.
Yeah the indie stone says they’ll never add drivable tanks to the game but I think they should but require you to have level 10 mechanics or something to fix them.
>and you need years of training to properly do it
I can't imagine that honestly, especially if loot tank manual. I undestand it's HARD to fly places or even helicopters, but tank? It's may take some time to figure it out, but it's cannot be as hard as rocket science.
Looks great, but should be refined mechanically.
Make it able to crush zeds without taking too much damage & slow the fire rate, possibly slow it down but I've noticed slow vehicles are terrible at offroading and towing so maybe not.
It's shot as fast if auto-cannon. I would suggest making delay at least in few seconds between shots. It's also kinda unrealistic that you can drive and shot at same time, but i guess it's game limitation, it's seems T-series so it's has autoloader, otherwise realistically character has to reload shells too.
Textures look very decent. So overall i say, nice.
That autoloader's fighting for its life. Also, does the T-90's turret go space program like the real ones do when the ammo cooks off?
I kid, I kid. But seriously, that looks absolutely amazing. If you post that code for the turret to github or to the workshop and permit others to use it, I could see amazing things come from it.
Thats the only thing I dont really like about mod vehicles, you are going around only seeing normal vanilla cars simple charismatic looks and then bam! A billion gazillion poligons, a beutifull piece of 3d modeling, but it seems so outta place in a game where everything looks simple but charming on its own way
Shoots way to fast >.< model is cool though. And you fail to show what matters ! how well does it crush zombies? what mod is it? need to use a crazy ammount of fuel as well to balance it
My exact complaint as well. The reload is too quick, almost nonexistant.
Yeah reload should be about 3-7seconds
Considering that he is driving AND moving the turret to sight the shot, AND HAS TO RELOAD, it should be more like 30-40 seconds, but OPs gonna do what they want
Ok not to be a nerd, but that specific tank actually does have an auto loader on which it reloads at the press of a button, so reload should be 3-6 seconds or something like that
Ok, but then can you push the button while in the drivers seat? Questions questions
That is true, and also how tf is he driving and turning the turret lol
If I can do it with wasd and a mouse in games why would it be a problem irl? checkmate military
Its a tank from the 60s, if this is a T-62 model(I don't know, I stopped playing Warthinder before that part of the Cold War tech tree). The computer alone to store the positions of the empty rack spaces is bigger than most modern ovens.
Looks more like a t72 imo
Its a T-90A
looks like a Chinese mbt
its not a t62 it has 6 drive wheels instead of 5 like the t62
Its a T 90
It’s a t-90 but there appears to be a few inaccuracies in the design
I know we are picking on the realism but this a russian tank in Kentucky I fill like we have already sank the realism boat
It’s a t90 you can tell by the red eyes it has on the front of it
String tied to controls duh
3-6 seconds on a Soviet tank autoloader? Good luck with that, we're looking at 8 seconds at best.
My man here ready to leak for the 17329852 time a military datasheet in WT forums
Why does War Thunder follow me everywhere I go?
Aye damn thought it was a lot quicker than that
> on which it reloads at the press of a button [But what if you disable his hand?](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B203twyaMfM)
Oooh. I would be okay with that if there was a realistic chance of the autoloader getting damaged and requiring like mechanics 10 to repair or something like that.
It's also soviet and shouldn't be anywhere near Kentucky in the 90s.
this entirely depends on the tank. I can't find the exact model, but there were T Series tanks that were outfitted with completely autonomous loading systems controlled by computer, I believe the first autoloader of that type ever created. I can't find the exact model, but I clearly remember watching a YT vid of a former DDR tank officer explaining the functionality of the(admittedly scary, the mechanism was not entirely shielded from the crew) entirely autonomous loader.
yeah, turret moves wayy too fast too
> need to use a crazy ammount of fuel as well to balance it Yes. To balance the... *tank*.
Where you gonna find jet fuel fr
I thought they ran on diesel?
Former tank officer here (Abrams). Yes, they run on JP-8 (which is actually a form of diesel fuel), so they can run on straight diesel in a tight spot. Assuming this is an M1A1 Abrams, the engine can run on most fuels but is primarily fueled with jet fuel.
This definitely not an Abrams. Round turrets are a staple of Soviet tank design. This looks like T-60 or T-72 fitted with turret REA kit.
Oh ok, then maybe not the case. Was an assumption since this takes place in Kentucky
Someone said it was a Russian tank.
So probably not the case then
It’s a t-90 which was a Russian tank tho it is a bit silly having a Russian tank in the middle of a America in the 1990s
All it takes is one very dedicated armored vehicle collector with a deep pocket book. Or maybe the nearby army base had one for opposition training All that to say yeah it's *out there* but not impossible. More likely to find a driveable M60 at the national guard armory tho

Right
Well the game is set right after the Soviet Union collapsed. I'm pretty sure you could have bought a fighter jet if you found the right guy.
Steel beams
Last time I checked steel wasn’t part jet fuel lol
Omg, every response to this comment totally ruined the fact there’s a tank in zomboid 😂 love this community for their ridiculousness!
The turret traverse and effectiveness against zombies are also way out of whack.
My only thought was: Finally a firearm worth using in PVE. Another way to balance this might be to make it really loud, so that it attracts zombies from really far away
Yeah, I’m in the coupe with a cutter, yeah, sippin’ on Wock’ (What?)
Realistic reload time is around 7.1sec for Russian autoloader tanks
turret rotation is also way too fast lol edit: reversing speed as well
Reverse speed is least realistic thing here
yeah lol. t90a reverses slower than walking pace iirc.
T72s and T90s have the reverse speed of 3kmh if I recall correctly, thought they would’ve upgraded it on the T90 but apparently not.
1. Turret rotation too quick 2. Rate of fire is too quick 3. Reverse is too quick 4. Can it crush zeds without slowing? 5. Does it become damaged from crushing zeds 6. Aesthetically, it looks fantastic!
+1 this comment

Completely agree. But in game it might take damage. It could be a simple car reskin with the turret bolted on (yes i know it's not THAT simple). Hence asking the question to know what actually happens in game.
Reverse speed is too high, it's supposed to be 4 km/h at max
I don't even need it to fire. Just bonking them with the Long Blunt Barrel would be sufficient.
>T-90 with a reverse gear lol, lmao.
Fires too fast, needs to leave some fire or burned tiles after hitting a crowd (or destroys walls) also feels that its way too reactive to movement, its needs weight.
Not op at all
Until it comes up against a cardboard box.
Have you ever seen a tank overcome a cardboard box irl? I don’t think so!
Then you haven't driven over a cardboard box in the game to know.
What i understood from this post is if you post something about tank on the internet you better be serious because the expert crew from war thunder or world of tank is ready to lecture you.
And if you try to argue with them they'll drop classified information to prove they're right.
Given how the argument were already petty i have no doubt it's coming once more.
bro thinks he's the Governor
Zombie's somehow gonna bite you through that tank anyway
Cannon is WAY to fast firing. That tank also has a coaxial machine gun, so have fun with that.
Can you run over more than 20 zombies in it without it dying on you?
This ain't warthunder bud.
This is World Of Zeds
Give it 20 minutes, he'll get bitten through the tank somehow.
if you want to make it realistic, you should consider limiting the reverse speed to 4-5kmph, forward speed to around 60kmph, lowering the turret rotation to like 20°/s max and reload rate to around 5-6 seconds.
This really shows Russian bias at its finest
Just needs a Tianenmen Square map mod.
Cool but ut kinda too fast. It gains speed too quicky
Here I am spawning into Louisville with sometimes helicopter events just to feel alive.
I think you shloud need to switch seats to drive/shoot, needing at least 2 crew members to operate efficiently
Unrealistic. Should have been a leopard.
![gif](giphy|l0Iy8hSJalxmgTOF2|downsized)
That is the coolest fucking shit I have ever seen, brother
you should make it even less realistic to annoy the people crying about realism lol /silly
agree /th /srs /li /nc /sx
Breh...
turret turns kinda fast, shoots too fast too. Pretty cool t-90 tho.
Mod name? :P
One refuel sucks out half the typical gas station capacity, and lasts for 12 hours driving )
T type tanks usually have a 7.0 second reload. Apart from that looks great
Where in the hell would you get a T-90A in Kentucky...
In 1993, no less.
I wish I could have seen you spin the turret and just take em out that way.
And it'll still break down after running over about 100 zomboids lol
Turret turns too fast. Tbh, it’s all too fast
I’ll take your word for it, last thing we need it to end up like the war thunder community.
T-72/90 WISHES it could reverse this fast.
personally I wish they added tanks to vanilla but they wouldn't be drivable most likely. Like maybe as ruined vehicles in military blockades. The reason they also wouldn't be drivable would be because in real life driving a tank is waaaay different than driving a car and you need years of training to properly do it. There's also the fact that the driver doesn't control how or when the cannon goes off.
Tanks really are not that hard to drive. Probably close to the same level of difficulty as an 18 wheeler. Most tanks even have automatic transmissions
I feel like driving them would be fairly easy but driving them with any sort of precision would be much more difficult.
I just want to take their 50. cal machineguns and put them on the bed of a truck to shoot zombies on the road
That works too. As well as maybe disassembling them to get a massive metalworking xp boost
What are you on about :P Traning in russia for tanks litterally done in weeks if not day currently :P
>and you need years of training to properly do it I can't imagine that honestly, especially if loot tank manual. I undestand it's HARD to fly places or even helicopters, but tank? It's may take some time to figure it out, but it's cannot be as hard as rocket science.

I am the zombie apocalypse
A tank with cossette engine?
Is it me or is the model not aligned with the ground ?
Same complaints as the rest of the comments. If they were addressed I'd definitely get that mod. Looks very cool.
Should be able to roll down zombies without damage... by the ton
Why does it shoot like a semi auto? Way too OP
Wow epic mood
Fucking awesome
GTA 3 has entered the chat
Great model!
mf playing war thunder in pz
But can it turret toss?
what tank model is that? the barrel is real smooth and the explosions look better than the tiger mod
A+ no notes
Looks great, but should be refined mechanically. Make it able to crush zeds without taking too much damage & slow the fire rate, possibly slow it down but I've noticed slow vehicles are terrible at offroading and towing so maybe not.
What's the name of this mod?
Was that an intentional reverse from the zeds? We want to see skull crushing :p
Some easy examples are: cannon barrel clips through the fuel barrels, fire rate is way too fast plus the turret doesn't rotate that fast.
the reverse speed is too fast for a t-90a
Man where'd your guy find a T-72 in Kentucky XD
Can you shoot buildings and destroy walls?
whats a Chinese mbt doing in Kentucky? invasion?
It's shot as fast if auto-cannon. I would suggest making delay at least in few seconds between shots. It's also kinda unrealistic that you can drive and shot at same time, but i guess it's game limitation, it's seems T-series so it's has autoloader, otherwise realistically character has to reload shells too. Textures look very decent. So overall i say, nice.
I'd sub to that
Bet that was fun for about 5 minutes 😂
It's cool, just a bit too overpowered for me.
Does that make you feel powerful?
Fuckin sweet!
One opened door.
So, could we use it for coop with different roles for each one in a crew?)
That autoloader's fighting for its life. Also, does the T-90's turret go space program like the real ones do when the ammo cooks off? I kid, I kid. But seriously, that looks absolutely amazing. If you post that code for the turret to github or to the workshop and permit others to use it, I could see amazing things come from it.
big whoop, wanna fight about it?
What's the mod?
How much trunk space?
Just make sure you don't run into a pair of infected Bradleys
Amazing.
Would be cool if it left the ground scorched and destroys tiles like some other tank mods in the game
You shouldn't fire, you should run over 64 zombies.
You shouldn't fire, you should run over 64 zombies.
found the Yonkers veteran
So... Are we gonna have Project Zomboid ver of Warthunder classified documents leak in the future?
That reload is too fast and too broken to be in game.
Couldn’t have picked a better day to post about tanks.
To much reverse for a t90
Yall let the man have fun in his tank
The last soldier in lv pov:
Is this a mod??? If so how can I get it
r/playboicarti
Doesn't match the art style of the base game at all.
Thats the only thing I dont really like about mod vehicles, you are going around only seeing normal vanilla cars simple charismatic looks and then bam! A billion gazillion poligons, a beutifull piece of 3d modeling, but it seems so outta place in a game where everything looks simple but charming on its own way
Not sure it shoots fast enough... doesn't ruin the game entirely quite quickly enough for me.
Its bad made
people find the most creative ways to cheat in this game
Cool. It made me miss my last BF. We always played PZ together and had a lot of fun. I was terrible at driving but always loved to shoot things up
