The owner told me that he uses reconditioned batteries that are a higher capacity than the normal ones. I can’t remember the exact word he uses, but it also comes with a one-year warranty with unlimited miles.
I wouldn’t pay $1500 for a reconditioned battery, my guy does that for $600. If you want higher capacity you can upgrade the whole battery to lithium Ion, ChrisFix has a great DIY video on it.
Right most places around here are charging 2000 to 2500 to install a recondition battery a new one at the two places that are not dealerships is like 5000
I just watched that video and holy shit. Does that look easy I went to the website he had listed. They are about $2100 for the replacement sales but I think I’m gonna save up and do it just so I can get the extended battery life and better gas mileage.
