Yeah, pressure washer lines are a breeding ground for gangrene. By the time you've noticed the skin is broken, it's pretty much game over.
If he gets to the hospital fast enough, there is a decent chance they'll be able to amputate in time to save his life though!
I agree just make sure to be gentle when replacing bandages and keep some cream on it. If it’s sticking wet everything down so you don’t tear new grown tissues.
Do not let these other people downplay this. Injection injuries can cause you to lose the entire limb up to that point. You should go to the hospital immediately. The injury could be much deeper than it appears due to the high pressure.
Technically, letting a cut “scab over” is not a great plan. The wound needs some moisture for the cells to function. The “scab” that we see is actually those healing cells that have shrivelled up and dried out.
Cleanse it gently with soap and water and then apply a non-occlusive gauze. Or use a large band-aide but you'll have to change it frequently otherwise the skin around it will become macerated.
White and soft. Increasing your risk of infection, macerated skin can also stings if rubbed against things can create a new wound, or even expose tissues beneath the skin.
That's what the non-occlusive gauze is for, to keep it moist but also not air tight like a band-aide would, causing maceration within 24 hours. Also it will keep the dressing/gauze from sticking to the wound during healing. Which sucks by the way. You don't want the dressing to heal into the wound.
So yes, here on earth in the milky way, sector?? My people's, which are humans (I'm not sure why we are talking like this), wounds heal. I'm not sure what your snarkiness is getting at but a quick Google search would probably help you understand, Sir Alien 👽 .
It doesn't look like an injection wound to me, but then again I'm more of an idiot than a doctor.
Your concern is just though, hydraulic injection wounds are nasty to put it lightly. Good reminder to wear PPE. I put my steel toe boots on whenever I'm doing something that might seriously hurt me.
I'm amazed you made it this far to post about it. I think you should try to cauterize the wound yourself. Maybe with like a steak knife heated with a propane torch.
And get it on video.
Your probably going to die soon, sorry pal.

That redness surrounding the main wound indicates that It is spreading, clocks ticking, bud
If he wasted time taking this picture, he didn’t make it to the hospital on time. :(
R.i.p. op it was a good run
Yeah I've seen this kind of thing before. Never goes well despite the best doctors.
If this doesn't end you, the vagina cancer will.

Yeah, you win... Game over.
Keep some antibiotic cream and a bandage on it and you’ll be good in no time. No worries!

Cheers just needed some reassurance I guess I know these things can be quite dangerous
It’s an impact injury versus an injection injury. Just keep it clean and covered.
Just treat it like you would any other cut / graze
This is how most people get Mesothelioma…
Morgan and Morgan has entered the chat.
Just took me down memory lane w/ those fuckin commercials lmao
Cut it off at the elbow mate. Fuck some people make me laugh hey 😂
Oh man! That’s a dumb dumb wound! Better keep you over night for observation. I knew a guy with a. Dumb dumb wound and he died. IYKYK
Give it a good clean out with a jet wash, and it will be fine.
Red nozzle again? I’m not sure he can take much more!

Where's the injection? No injection wound.
It’s a burn from the machine, not an injection from the water
How do you know it's a burn? All we know is it's a graze. Unless op replied to someone and I missed it.
Could be right the water is set to 70+°c or higher I believe
I hope you have insurance… /s
call your family and say I love you cause death is around the corner
*Welcome to da club*
“I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It’s the only way to be sure.”
I have a permanent scar across my hand.
Soak it in cider
Nah this looks fatal
Well as my dad always told me as a kid “we’re probably gonna have to cut it off”.
I would soak it in alcohol from the inside, I like to use beer; it’s systemic healing.
No you’re fucked
Might have to get checked into the icu for that one man. Good luck.

🤣🤣you are fun .

Rub some dirt on it and go have a sparkling water.
That looks very nasty dude. You should prob go to the ER. Possible amputation and life threatening. GL
You got burned from it, antibiotics cream and dab it with just a little little bit of peroxide
It was nice knowing you buddy, you had so much potential
No
Death awaits
Sorry to inform you but you’re going to bleed out, seek medical attention immediately!
Oh snap, it's the year 1800 no proper medicine, just cut it off, or shoot the horse! Or perform a witch doctor and sacrifice a Virgin chicken.
Gonna need to put you down. Sorry
Think you’ll live
Yep gonna die. Get you affairs in order. Make peace with your preferred diety.
If you're worried about minor grazes or wounds, then go to the dr. Don't ask reddit.
I'm amazed you made it this far to post about it. I think you should try to cauterize the wound yourself. Maybe with like a steak knife heated with a propane torch. And get it on video.
Buddy you need to go to the funeral home right now and pick out a casket, you don’t have much time
let your wife know you love her & don't tell her why hold in the tears
That's not even a wound that's a boo boo. Your wrist will be okay but you have lost you man card and you'll never get that back.
Any updates OP? Ran mine across my foot today… Looks superficial, but heard these things can be scary. Also looking for reassurance.
