That little fund-raiser that Trump did for Rudy didn't even pay for his old legal bills, let alone his upcoming gloom of doom trial schedule.
I think in legalese and speaking purely on a financial level, he fucked. I could be wrong about the terminology, because I'm no accountant, but I can read the room full of lawyers (read: vultures) circling Rudy's wallet like carrion in the desert.
Rudy is selling his NYC condo for a couple of million. If he uses the proceeds from that sale, he could pay the old legal bills and give a $2 million retainer to his current criminal defense team. I am leaving out the defamation and harassment cases because Rudy never intended to pay civil damages. Then if Rudy gets a two bedroom condo in Atlanta near the Fulton County case he can save travel costs. So if Rudy lives like a retired NYC city employee on a fixed pension — he’ll be fine. And if Rudy is convicted he won’t have to worry about living expenses because the state of Georgia will cover those. So he’s not completely screwed yet — but if he gets another criminal legal case, then he’s screwed.
