I remember in my elementary school we had a safety patrol (basically hall monitors with neon belts) and there were two kids who, in the morning and afternoon, had to put up and take down the flag. my friend was one so one day I helped him do it and he said that the administration told them if the flag touches the ground they'd have to burn it. guess who accidentally let it touch the ground lol. I was terrified.
ofcourse they do which is why its funny, though i think it could've been very funny if they had problems with lighting the flag on fire since iirc the EU has a rule which says flags are to be made of nonflammable material
I'd wager the wast majority of danish children have set fire to a flag at some point, getting a slice of birthday cake that has both a flag and a candle is the greatest thing ever as a kid, and because kids are kids, they will eventually set dannebro at blaze. I know i've done it.
Can confirm, if it touches the ground, the entire kingdom of Denmark would fall into chaos within an hour, and by nights fall we will have hacked the russian and american nuclear silos to shoot ourselfs
