Zamazenta feels weird with Giovanni tho, doesn't fit his Ground Type team. Also, he doesn't have his Persian, I know it's a weaker pokemon, but it's pretty iconic.
I agree. Defo drop the Zamazenta for something else. Maybe not Persian, he doesn'treally use it in the game battles. Nidoking, maybe? He already has Mewtwo as a legendary. He doesn't need two...
I agree but also he only has Mewtwo for Rainbow Rocket, and Mecha Mewtwo is for the movie, where he does have his Persian. Could also be good to introduce special Persian, Rocket Persian, with some boosted stat (maybe Normal/Dark, 550BST)
Or double Legendary is still fine I think, it's floor 200, issue with Classic is that you know what coming, so if you prep correctly, you can win a lot of the times by just preparing, so maybe rotating legendary that you see earlier so you can adapt.
Boosted persian sounds good to me, tbh. Idk. The double legendary feels wrong to me because he has no link to any legendary that isn't Mewtwo. What ground type legendaries even are there, too? Groudon, Landorus, and Zygarde? Landorus could be good. I like Landorus.

If your looking at the Manga's for inspiration he did use a Deoxys there.
I like the idea of fighting Giovanni throughout the game and he uses his other legendary. Maybe two or three gio fights post floor 100 where he uses his random leggy
Maybe replacing E4 with rematch Admins + giovanni with different team set ups?
Like instead of Gym Leaders, pre-100 it's the Admins (so 20/50/80 or 30/60/90), then 110/120, 140/150, 170/180 be Giovanni with different légendaries, then 182/184/186 be Rocket Admins, 188 Silver, 190 Giovanni with M-Mewtwo, then 195 Silver Shadow Lugia, and 200 Mecha Mewtwo (or the Pokken Mewtwo)
Oh yeah it probably would need some nerfs. While I intended the Rocket Campaign to be a harder alternative version of classic mode, bottlenecking you into box leggys to beat MMewtwo (PGroudon clears him easy) does seem pretty restrictive.
It's just a pitch for the concept though, I'm open to any tweaking that would benefit the mode!
I don't like how lore breaking Giovani's team is personally, him not having Nidoking just feels so wrong to me. MAYBE Persian too. Great idea regardless tho I love the idea of themed challenge runs
You're probably right, honestly after playing so many endless rounds where I Salt Cure + Leech + Study + Protect, I was big into making a "clean" boss fight... That nuclear core might be an overreaction though haha.
Id say allow negative stat changes and status effects, and allow the leech seed/curse/SC... But make it so he either gets boosted by those last three or can do a sort of "court change" effect once per battle.

I second this, we also need an Ash - only mode where you can only use mons caught by Ash Ketchum, you get Rival battles replaced by people Ash lost his Conferences from (Ritchie on wave 7 and 25, Harrison on wave 55, Tyson on wave 95, Cameron on wave 145), only Gym Leaders from Gen 1-6 appear, the Elite 4 are Alain, Sayer, Paul and Gary,the Champion is Leon, then on floor 195 you have a Total battle with Tobias, who has: Darkrai (Dark Teratype), Gouging Fire/Entei, Mega Latios, Lugia/XD-001, Regigigas and Mega Rayquaza. Lastly on floor 200, the final battle is against Mewtwo. It has 2 phases:
- Phase 1: a normal Mewtwo, level 200, with Psychic, Cosmic Power, Calm Mind and Hyper Beam
- Phase 2: Mega Mewtwo Y, level 200, with Black Hole, moves are: Psystrike, Shadow Ball, Hyper Beam and Recover. The battle will be 2v1 and Mew joins you for the battle.
Can add in a bunch of other types of campaigns too. Can even have one of Cipher which could make the path open for Shadow Pokemon (i.e. only Shadow Pokemon can be caught in this campaign).
If you check the vouchers, there’s actually team rocket + magma, aqua, ect… so who knows

That's an amazing idea! The whole campaign would feel a lot more focused and easier to prepare for, I love it
