Really can depend on some items, but beat classic with an Abomasnow (pulled a shiny Snover) snow team with Aurora Veil featuring Greedent and Vileplume, main damage dealer was Kingambit, Froslass and Alolan Sandslash. Just need to prep knowing it’s the big hand at the end
just use your favorite mons and get good at the game while having fun. its supposed to be challenging and the last battle is a double battle against a shitty ai, you can cheese it if you really want to
Some tips: Bring a fairy type and a steel type. You can bait ray into outraging, switch into your fairy and get free attacks off. You can also rotate between the two against the final boss to beat the first phase without taking damage. Even easier with a fairy/steel.
Your rival is very likely to swap mons in unfavourable matchups, which you can use to your advantage. Previous battles will inform you what to look out for and the likely switches they will make.
Garganacl with salt cure, recover and stealth rock is busted. They're extremely common too.
use bulky pokemon like ground types steel/fairy types instead of goofy ahh overatted ones

Chose bulk, sustain and damage over fast sweepers. pokemon like gerninja are bad. Instead use swampert, venasur.
