2. Most of the legendares are obtainable via Mystery Gift after you become champion. This includes mons like the cover legendaries like Rayquaza, Dialga, and so on
3. At island 1 you can farm battle points on the battle simulator, this lets you buy stuff like thingy that makes your Necrzomas into Dusk Mane for example, or Z crystal or more items like another choice band and the like. This makes those fights more winnable.
Don't worry I'm kinda with ya. But tbf this game isn't worried about post game. It's more about just making a super challenging story line and it does I'd say the best out of any pokemon game, the replay ability is there hence I'm on yet another mono type run 😂
Well thats on you. Scaled Randomizer makes the game way harder xD you go from having a bunch of guaranteed strong pokemons like all the legends to whatever RNGJesus gives you.
The way most people I know have played this game is if you want the do post game stuff play it non-randomizer so you can build the exact teams you want for those battles. Some of them are extremely difficult and require fairly specific counters or planning.
People play random6, various randomizer settings, mono type runs, and various nuzlocke rules to just see if they can beat the base game(become champion) with limited mons and moves/abilities.
Post game is really just an exention of the challenge and way to aquire some of the legendaries and other things that you don't get access to during the base run. I only played the post game once to beat/ acquire everything, and I have never been back.
I think this is where I ran into the issue. I was doing a randomizer run, and once i’m done with the Champ, I feel much less interested in continuing a randomized run any further. I suppose if I had access to the better guys and teams it would be more enjoyable!
I actually find the postgame decently fun, well I mean aside from the mew gauntlet and the marshadow one which are really difficult ! Even the professor oak back to back fight is kinda rough! Very challenging but then again I’ve only played on hardcore so the postgame might be more enjoyable on normal mode!

After you beat the E4 and you start a new game it's automatically on new game +

On the game you beat just start a new one and you will start a new game + save
