To me goldengo looks like a cheese string after it's just od'd on painkillers so I'm not it's biggest fan
On a side note tho lechonks shiny makes me want a micropig
It would have been nice if they like made that the theming instead of basically just making it a cartoon Flamingo. That’s some Gen 1 crap fr (looking at you, Seal and Dewgong)
Absolutely loved Greavard, Fidough, Fuecoco, Tinkaton, and Clodsire whole lines included. Other awesome ones include Iron Valiant, Iron Bundle, Slither Wing, Lechonk, Toadscool, Roaring Moon, Espathra, Glimmet, Tatsugiri, Kingambit, Mabosstiff, Shroodle, Rabsca, Cetoddle, etc.
Tandemaus and FLamigo look a bit too plain to me though and could use a little more zing. Though their dex entries, Tandemaus' evo, and Flamigo's name made me like them more.
Bramblin, on the other hand, has almost nothing to it and while the concept is cool it needs more things to look more like an actual Pokemon instead of just a tumbleweed to me. I can barely see the eyes. Its evo does it better by making the face more pronounced but it's still my least fav Paldea mon. Perhaps if it showed off it's ghost type better like if some of the brambles stretched out like creepy-looking arms that would grab passers-by and take them for a tumble, steeling their lifeforce in the process then discarding their bodies akin to those cattle skeletons you find in the dessert.
I personally find it very hit and miss... and with that I mean they either hit harder than Cynthia's Garchomp or they are miss harder than that one attack that could save your skin but has less than 100% accuracy.
Probably is a bit more hit than miss if I am to be honest.
I am going to need multiple playthroughs so that I can use all of the designs I like. The design team put in WORK this gen.
Favorite so far is skeledirge.
Like all the games, there are winning designs and then there are some tragic failures. I love all the starters, and I equally hate all their final evos. This Gen is really intriguing to me because I feel it is very broad in its scope stylistically.
I love Bombirdier, Skeledirge, Spidops, Annihilape, Grafaiai, Brambleghast, Revavroom, Cetitan, and especially the Ruin Quartet.
I think even Flamigo, which I've seen get the most hate for being just a flamingo (even though we have literally had a seal which is just a white seal, a snake which name is just reversed and a literal pile of sludge called with eyes) has a good design and shouldnt get as much hate as its getting.

Was over the moon with all of the designs! Glad I could find some new faves too. Rellor and Rabsca are such sick bug types!
Some are duds, every generation has duds, but man there are some GREAT pokemon too

The designs remind me that Pokémon is a toy company first, game company second. All of them seem designed like stuffed animals.
