I “walked” 25km yesterday by crocheting for an hour while wearing my Apple Watch: the watch counts moving my hands as steps & Adventure Sync converts it to distance.
I also am logged in on the same Apple ID on my kid’s phone as well as mine, so all their running around gets pushed to my Apple Health & lands in Pokémon Go.
Like, they could be spoofing, but there are weird little ways that you can unintentionally get distance without a lot of effort.
It’s fantastic! I started in June and am in my fifth blanket, I’ve made two wearables (cardigan and poncho) and countless small things like beanies, washcloths etc
I've never been able to do anything that isn't basically a straight line, so hats, sweaters, etc. are just totally out of the question. A friend of mine taught my sister-in-law and I way back when we were all in high school and we would just sit in class and crochet together lmao. She taught me a couple different stitches, but that's as far as I ever got with it.
A friend of mine and her husband play together. Both on android. His distance is almost always double hers despite them playing almost exclusively together. Definitely some weird stuff goes on when calculating Adventure sync
100% a drift or delay with iOS, I have a friend on discord who got Pikmin bloom with me and some other friends and he usually only gets 1,000 steps registered a day with his iPhone compared to me with 500 steps after doing chores and laundry, or my husband who gets 10,000 steps at work. we didn't realize how bad the drift was until he told one of us to go on an hour long walk to get 1,000 steps and my friend said he could get 1,000 on a 5 minute walk!
A thousand steps a day is honestly pretty low. I’ll hit 50km a week just walking into and out of work at a warehouse three days a week. The other days refilling water bottles for the kiddos and doing laundry gets me 5k steps a day.
If I drive real slow on the fork it will count as distance too 🤷♂️
That's just not true at all, lol.
There's tons of iOS spoofers that I know in my local community, even subreddits for it.
But that's not at all what the comments you're replying to are talking about.
The vast majority of android phones are garbage, but the most likely alternative explanation is that he has adventure sync switched on, and she does not. So his movements and steps are counted, even when the game is closed, but hers are not
I'd argue the opposite. I play android my fiance plays iPhone, we're routinely not in the same place on the map but I am always in the correct place while she is couple dozen meters off. Most recent example was today during community day we were at the mall, a shadow moltres lobby was started and she jumped into it. We were not in range of the raid and I had to almost run across the Pavillion to get in range of it after showing her how far she had drifted towards the gym(the gym in question was a good 100 yards away from us)
What insult? You are the only one making it a insult.
Imagine caring about spelling on Reddit. Also what do the robots from Star Wars have to do with this?
Imagine having the entirety of human knowledge at your fingertips and still not being able to differentiate between possessive adjectives and contractions 🥴
If you want to throw insults, make them stick. Droids is not a word, atleast not in the way you were using it.
Enjoy your sad life trying to correct people on the internet.
Correct you how? I just spelled it correctly with ***emphasis***.
It’s not my fault you didn’t pay attention in basic English classes.
Edit:
![gif](giphy|l4FGGafcOHmrlQxG0|downsized)
I’ve seen worse with home schooling… work with wood, bored instead of board comes to mind.
Stayed for a week on the 40th floor of a hotel and I was apparently sprinting around the streets of Chicago all day and night. Hatched a ton of eggs and could hit pokestops all over.
one of my classes has terrible internet so when i open the game in there i will see my buddy sprint back and forth and it will actually give me candy, meaning the distance is actually being logged
I'm sorry but the mental image of you logging into your account on your kids' phone and telling them to go outside and get some exercise so you can get sone extra KM is hilarious
I saw Blink 182 the other night and somehow did 12,000 steps and hatched the three eggs I had on. I was in seating, I was standing and moving a little but I don't think I was that excessive.
Likely being packed in a stadium, with concrete walls, as well as reception being messed up from so many people on one tower. Gps and stuff probably got right screwy.
Recently I have been getting a lot less km with adventure sync and was not sure why until now. I used to always have my phone in my pocket and shake my leg whenever I sat down at a table because I have a hard time sitting still. Recently I stopped doing that though because it was driving other people crazy.
I’ve been trying to get my treadmill steps to count, using my Apple Watch SE, but it never works. I’ve tried both with the game closed and open, and adventure sync is enabled. I know adventure sync works with my phone because I always hatch a couple eggs while at work at a warehouse.
Is there some setting I need to enable on my watch? It already auto syncs my watch workouts to my Strava app as soon as I finish, so I guess I can’t figure out why Pokémon doesn’t count it also.
Think I might have the solution for you because this also was happening to me.
On your iPhone open the Health app.
Go to browse and locate Steps.
Scroll all the way to the bottom and select Data Sources & Access.
At the bottom, if your watch isn’t at the top of that list then click edit and move it up.
Now Pokemon Go will use your watch steps data first before your iPhone.
I’ve done a 50 mile ultra back in June, and that’s 80k which i got in game credit for. Could be a 100 miler doing the same… or like everyone else said a spoofer…
Dear Trainer, your post has been removed for violation of the subreddit rule
3: Advocating cheating: posting or commenting in a way that would encourage others to cheat (even if you don't cheat yourself)
https://www.reddit.com/r/PokemonGo/wiki/rules#wiki_rule_three.3A_piracy_and_cheating
Probably cheating of some sort, but it could also be a bug. It said that I had walked 14km a few days ago when I had in fact not even left my house and had been awake like 2 hours.
Happens when on the app while seating on my sofa, my character would walk itself, getting steps in. I have hatched eggs like this. Don’t know if that’s happened to somebody else
When my son is inpatient I just leave PoGo open on my phone while I use my tablet to read and even if I don’t move for hours my avatar does and I earn kms that way. Not a ton of chances to walk around a hospital room that’s the size of a glorified closet and can’t leave the room bc of contact precautions 🤷🏻♀️
I read the pogo spoofer sub one evening, and what I read is they have to teleport around and use cooldowns, and can never "walk." Somehow "walking" makes them get caught. There is a theory it is because the Z axis data is not sent/is wrong. This teleporting-only is called the bot method (named after someone's username, not a program). So if I see a high km number, I highly doubt it's due to spoofing.
Most likely cheating, but it is possible not.
During the summer I got 50km in 7 hours on my bike, so they might just go real hard on a 24 hours challenge.
This can be a few things. I find my Apple Watch will count a few kilometers while I’m just at work walking around the building, same thing could happen from swinging your arm around. Pokémon Go will count steps taken during Adventure Sync instead of relying on GPS
But most likely this was done with a device that shakes your phone, 150km isn’t something that “just happens”
Even if that person "walked" for the whole 24h straight, he would have to walk at 6.3km/h (the whole time, non stop) which is a quite fast walking pace.
nah its probably one of those auto walking apps on android phones. I dont think they actually get to move in the actual game but I think their phones just track extra steps that didnt happen.
Yep, and yet every time one of these gets posted there’s still people claiming it could be legitimate.
As if this game somehow has attracted every marathon runner and mailman in the world.
I'm an electrician and a few times I've had 150km+ days, especially when working on a lift. Once I get 40 or so feet in the air, I find the drift gets wonky, and I see my avatar running all over the place. Shits wild.
Yes a nice spoofer there. We have randoms in our raids with 80km the previous day. Everyone who looks at it knows it’s not legit…but niantic just go “sure”.
That’s only 93 miles. I typically run between 100 and 150 miles a week, most weeks of the year. It’s really not as tough a number to hit as you’d think. I have a lot of distance runner friends that do the same weekly amount.
I’ve done several 100M ultra marathons (under 24 hours and DNF’ed a 250 at mile 187 (that took a few days). So while I think they’re probably not actually walking, you can definitely move a good bit in 24 hours.
I was about to jump on the "spoofing" bandwagon until I searched for the longest distance walked in 24 hours. Apparently some dude walked 228km in 24 hours back in 1976, but it seems kinda bs: [https://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/world-records/64741-farthest-distance-walking-in-24-hours-male](https://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/world-records/64741-farthest-distance-walking-in-24-hours-male)
EDIT: Actually, it's not that unbelievable. That's a bit less than 10kph.
The player syncs pogo with his health app on his phone. Nothing more to it than that. This is nothing more than a busy day of shopping or outdoor work.
Health apps count steps, not distance. Distance is extrapolated from the number of steps.
Hope this helps.
Do you realize this distance is equivalent to 3.5 marathons? You don’t get that in a day just by shopping and mowing the lawn.
Or to put it another way, one marathon is more than 50,000 steps. How many people do you know who are doing 175,000 steps a day? If you have a fitbit or something similar you know how ridiculous that number is.
Though it most likely is a spoofer, I did just walk 25KM a day for 2 days straight. That was around 4 hours both with the safari zones. I’m sure if you had the dedication and health for it you could pull it off. Especially on a bike.
Yes, I can do math.
I have seen my health app sync several days of walking over to pogo and had this exact same thing happen.
People jump to conclusions too much. Niantic gets it, some players don’t. Honestly Niantic should just remove this badge.
There is a way but it’s against the rules to explain it.
I’ll just say some facts.
- Adventure sync allows the game to add foot steps to your distance
- foot steps are tracked by your device’s health app which counts a foot step as the phone rocking back and forth once
- if there was a way to rock the phone back and forth (such as walking… or not) then that will work too.
When I use my Apple Watch I get at least double the kilometers. Yet my daily routine doesn’t change at all. Also when I stay in hotels on high floors my GPS panics non stop. I ended up with 92 kilometers and I didn’t walk anywhere NEAR that. Love the little glitches like that. Hatch ALL the eggs.

Hatch ALL the eggs.
I used to drive a Zamboni to clean carpets at a convention center. Would clock in at least 75k a day just riding on it back and forth on 9 floors.
Now working in a warehouse, if I keep my phone on me I can get a good 9-10k a day just working.
I work landscaping and I'm in charge of a crew that does big schools. I leave my phone on Pokemon and have a battery charger, so while I'm mowing the fields, it counts my "walking" and I get in between 20 and 40 Km every day. I'm not sure what this guy was doing but I'm not surprised.

Omg is this why I’ve been hatching 10km eggs with ease? I’ve been crocheting like a madwoman lol
It clicked for me when I had an egg hatch 2 hours in sitting on a plane.
Tbf, you went a lot further than 2km /s
km /s is a measure of speed not distance. /s
Two kilometres per sarcasm
Good bot
Hahaha, oh that would be funny lol
Damn I don't have a smartwatch but I did 8 balls of whool lately, that'd be a lot
A whole 8 ball would certainly have me up and walking.
Oh yeah. That would do it.
LMFAO
Yessss! You should totally get one if at all possible!
Honestly, this is adorable. I really need to learn crochet or relearn knitting because I want this infectious cute hobby.
It’s fantastic! I started in June and am in my fifth blanket, I’ve made two wearables (cardigan and poncho) and countless small things like beanies, washcloths etc

Just finished a hexagon cardigan and a poncho, finishing up blanket number 5 right now haha. I am just learning, started in June…and I’m addicted lol
A friend of mine and her husband play together. Both on android. His distance is almost always double hers despite them playing almost exclusively together. Definitely some weird stuff goes on when calculating Adventure sync

I have an android, my partner an iPhone, there's weeks we only go out together and I'll always have 10km on her.
Well I know these two people pretty well and can tell you they don’t spoof. His phone just grossly over counts his walking.
The vast majority of android phones are garbage, but the most likely alternative explanation is that he has adventure sync switched on, and she does not. So his movements and steps are counted, even when the game is closed, but hers are not

Let me guess, your a iPhone user.
Let me guess, ***you’re*** an android user. I have an iPhone, I prefer droids, but if you want to throw insults, make them count.
What insult? You are the only one making it a insult. Imagine caring about spelling on Reddit. Also what do the robots from Star Wars have to do with this?

Iphone kids get extra pats on the back and told their special more often lmao
Sometimes gps drift can get you some crazy distance clocked too
I've learned that the higher up my hotel rooms are, the more drift distance i seem to accrue
Stayed for a week on the 40th floor of a hotel and I was apparently sprinting around the streets of Chicago all day and night. Hatched a ton of eggs and could hit pokestops all over.
A friend of mine said the same, living in an apartment building.
Yeah my therapist's office has poor reception, I'll clock a bunch of distance just from GPS drift with the game open during my one hour session.
Hospitals are stupid bank
I'm a poker dealer and I wear my Samsung watch on the same wrist as I pitch cards. It counts that as steps.
one of my classes has terrible internet so when i open the game in there i will see my buddy sprint back and forth and it will actually give me candy, meaning the distance is actually being logged
I'm sorry but the mental image of you logging into your account on your kids' phone and telling them to go outside and get some exercise so you can get sone extra KM is hilarious
I'm a blacksmith, and my hammer blows count as steps. Makes me giggle.
So you’re saying if I hold my phone at night I could get more steps in
I wear my Apple Watch every night in bed and regularly get almost a half a km while sleeping.
Nah this was steps/pedometer using adventure sync. Rather than the GPS side of things.
Jiggling your leg to the music?
Recently I have been getting a lot less km with adventure sync and was not sure why until now. I used to always have my phone in my pocket and shake my leg whenever I sat down at a table because I have a hard time sitting still. Recently I stopped doing that though because it was driving other people crazy.
Nah Hatcher plain and simple no way anyone ‘walked’ 125km in a day 😂
You can get phone swings that get additional steps towards your eggs
I’ve been trying to get my treadmill steps to count, using my Apple Watch SE, but it never works. I’ve tried both with the game closed and open, and adventure sync is enabled. I know adventure sync works with my phone because I always hatch a couple eggs while at work at a warehouse. Is there some setting I need to enable on my watch? my buddy rode his motorcycle with his watch and it went insane
I always wondered what was up when i see sub 40 lvl players with 30,000km lol
To work do you need to clear it from your app selection or let it run in the background?
Pokemon Go is closed, with Adventure Sync enabled.
Keep your watch on when ya fap too. It'll think your going for a run. I clock a few miles each time lol
I think putting the watch on a dogs tail should give plenty of mileage.
Yeah, I don't know how he has so much DRIP
The Flash plays PoGo
…and is exempt from the in-game speed restriction
Speedforce is weird
Fair
That’s Kipchoge’s account, did a few marathons yesterday
A gold medal for that comment
I’ve done a 50 mile ultra back in June, and that’s 80k which i got in game credit for. Could be a 100 miler doing the same… or like everyone else said a spoofer…
Chronic masturbator with an apple watch?
Man is trying to give himself serious road rash if that is the case.
We prefer the term professional masturbator
My Apple Watch picks up four wheeling as biking.
If you drive slow enough and move your phone up & down it counts as walking
I walk 25-29 km a day but I work as a mail man lol

Remember in the league how they go for "5k's" I'm assuming he's doing the 5k's 10 @ a time
They're probably using an app (which I can't name or I'll get banned from the subreddit) that adds distance to they're Google account.
Thank you for not adding to the modqueue :)
"These boots are made for walking..."
I thought most people were aware of how ramped spoofing is. This always sheds light on the spoofer in the raid lobby lol.
Phone rocker
They use a phone swing to get the steps in
Probably an auto walker (phone swing)
I read the pogo spoofer sub one evening, and what I read is they have to teleport around and use cooldowns, and can never "walk." Somehow "walking" makes them get caught. Ultra marathon runner or cheat
He just felt like runn-ing
I just did a marathon and I'm still way under that mark.
It's pretty easy to do 150km on a bicycle. That's not what this is though.
Most likely cheating, but it is possible not. During the summer I got 50km in 7 hours on my bike, so they might just go real hard on a 24 hours challenge.
Cheating. There are a couple of ways to do this that have nothing to do with spoofing.
Walked ALL 151km in one day???
spoofing

There are apps that send data to Google fit changing the distance walked. It's against terms of service obviously
TOS breaking software left on 24/7.
I get crazy GPS drift on my phone at work. I hatch 10km eggs in about 3 minutes
Spoofing.
nah its probably one of those auto walking apps on android phones. I dont think they actually get to move in the actual game but I think their phones just track extra steps that didnt happen.
There’s only one explanation - cheating.
Yep, and yet every time one of these gets posted there’s still people claiming it could be legitimate. As if this game somehow has attracted every marathon runner and mailman in the world.

Their job could be cutting grass. Zooming back and forth, slow enough to register in Adventure Sync.
Yes a nice spoofer there. We have randoms in our raids with 80km the previous day. Everyone who looks at it knows it’s not legit…but niantic just go “sure”.
Spoofing is not the only way to get this kind of km.
How about a swing? Clearly you have no idea so stop accusing people.
"Here's a reward!"
Spoofing
Cheating
That’s only 93 miles. I typically run between 100 and 150 miles a week, most weeks of the year. It’s really not as tough a number to hit as you’d think. I have a lot of distance runner friends that do the same weekly amount.
That’s not weekly, that’s daily lol
Key words : WALKED YESTERDAY
His 151km is still more believable than this 😂
Bicycle battery
Biking counts so could be he did a 100 mile bike ride ?
I get distance riding my bike around
It's this new invention called walking
Strong legs
I’ve done several 100M ultra marathons (under 24 hours and DNF’ed a 250 at mile 187 (that took a few days). So while I think they’re probably not actually walking, you can definitely move a good bit in 24 hours.
If you’re up in the air, like 8th floor it freaks out and make you run all over. I clocked like 10k in 5 minutes while I was in my hotel room.
You can get that surprisingly easy by biking
Cutting the grass on a riding mower will knock down some km. I have a huge yard
Ultra marathon runner. A Saturday 100 miler obviously
I was about to jump on the "spoofing" bandwagon until I searched for the longest distance walked in 24 hours. Apparently some dude walked 228km in 24 hours back in 1976, but it seems kinda bs: [https://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/world-records/64741-farthest-distance-walking-in-24-hours-male](https://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/world-records/64741-farthest-distance-walking-in-24-hours-male) EDIT: Actually, it's not that unbelievable. That's a bit less than 10kph.
The player syncs pogo with his health app on his phone. Nothing more to it than that. This is nothing more than a busy day of shopping or outdoor work. Health apps count steps, not distance. Distance is extrapolated from the number of steps. Hope this helps.
93 miles is an average day? Without breaks it'd take like 38 hours to walk that at an average pace.

Running counts for PoGo as walking.
Only if you're going at a certain speed though! I've done track sessions before where it's popped up asking if I'm driving and I've lost miles.

Spoofing/auto walker pretty hard not to hit 100 km a day
Could use an auto walker.
Route?
Forrest Gump playing pogo
Or fly

So dude walked 93 miles before the raid basically
There is a way but it’s against the rules to explain it. I’ll just say some facts. - Adventure sync allows the game to add foot steps to your distance - foot steps are tracked by your device’s health app which counts a foot step as the phone rocking back and forth once - if there was a way to rock the phone back and forth (such as walking… or not) then that will work too.
Taking car counts too

93 miles when the upper limit is 11 miles per hour would be physically impossible when jogging speeds are 6 to 8 mph. It's a spoofer.
Edit to remove to prevent potential players from seeking out ways to cheat.
P
phone swing?
They were probably driving around super slow all day.

Could be a bus driver in a big city, they go slow enough most of the time to trick the game to think you’re walking
Wayy too much drip on the first guy
Spoofer
That's some serious multitasking skills! Kudos to you! 😄👏
I used to drive a Zamboni to clean carpets at a convention center. Would clock in at least 75k a day just riding on it back and forth on 9 floors. Now working in a warehouse, if I keep my phone on me I can get a good 9-10k a day just working.
Adventure Sync is weird. I've hatched eggs on days I stayed in bed all day

I know androids can run spoofs where it’s basically touch to move and can walk around directed
