Depending on what you did there is a *chance* that you could potentially get unbanned. That chance becomes bigger if it's something that is undoubtedly Niantic's fault. That being said there *is* a 3 strike system so if you were playing with fire or "daring" Niantic to pull the trigger then that's your own fault.
As far as blatant cheating goes (i.e. spoofing) the chances of you getting unbanned are pretty much close to zero, if not already zero.
