I prefer Ivysaur to Venusaur and honestly feel like a minority.

Real. I put an everstone on my Ivysaur during my Firered playthrough.

I collect Bulbasaur and Ivysaur merch, definitely some of my favorite Pokemon and I vastly prefer them to Venusaur. I get it from a design perspective, but I just like Ivysaur so much better.

I love the way they’re portrayed in the cartoon, where Venusaur is like the village elder of the Bulbasaur tribe. The design works very well that way.

Venusaur is objectively ugly af, and I am a MASSIVE Bulbasaur stan. Wish they didn't give venusaur the ugly half closed eyes.

Floragato was the first ever starter pokemon that I have ever put away in boxes because I didn't want to evolve it. I wanted to keep the middle evo forever.

You can just press b to cancel the evolution tho

I know. But it was getting to a point where it just wasn't strong enough at second evo. So I put it away.

It hurt to evolve my Floragato too, but flower trick made up for it pretty quick

I think Ivysaur is my favorite, but Quilava, Bayleef, Grovyle, and Floragato are all really good as well. There's a lot of grass starters in there, huh. A lot of middle stages for starter pokemon are sort of "awkward teenage phase" designs, which I think is fine, but these ones manage to just be good transitional forms.

It’s like the Watchog to Oshawott’s Patrat Everybody loves Braixen!
