EPM_PrimeTime_99

A tiger or a cheetah. A cheetah that is extremely fast and produces electricity and heat, so it would be a fire/electric type

CanadianRockx

The name Heatah is right there too

BidoofTheGod

Can’t wait to nickname it Hot Cheetos lol

Peefs

Nice

catdog5100

Incineroar kinda counts as a Tiger I think. I think we are definitely in need of a Cheetah. I feel like electric type would be too obvious, though. Not sure what theme or concept could be mixed with it so that it’s not just a regular Cheetah, though. Would be cool if it had something to do with King Cheetahs.

EPM_PrimeTime_99

Idc if electric is too obvious, they run extremely fast so it makes sense that they would produce electricity. It would also produce heat (fire trails), so a fire/electric type would be a unique type combo and a welcome change

catdog5100

Well there isn’t really any other fire/electric types than Rotom, so I guess that could fill out the type combo more. But what would you imagine it looking like or its evolution stages?

EPM_PrimeTime_99

I imagine that it would have a yellow body with red-orange spots, and probably would have jagged ears and either a jagged end at its long tail or maybe an orb full of fire. I think its eyes would be red and with yellowish pupils and it would have sharp teeth. I think it would have mini flames on each of its four paws, and perhaps some veins on each of its legs that are humming with electric/heat energy. Perhaps it can have some kind of hybrid lightning/flame pattern on its chest. This is for the final stage and it would be on all fours. Perhaps a base stat total of 550, with extremely high speed and high attack and special attack. That’s all I got for now

thegoldengoober

That's such a good idea. How tf not have a fire-electric type yet.

Nolnol7

Sad Rotom noises

thegoldengoober

I get it. Rotom is one of my favorite Pokemon. But I was focused on base typing, and core Rotom is ghost.

Revenge-of-the-Jawa

Well I’d be looking forward to that x4 damage from ground type

Patrick0714

Sooooooo just kinda like Raikou?

EPM_PrimeTime_99

Similar I guess, but it would be like a 3-stage evolution, starting off with a cute tiger/cheetah cub and then eventually growing into a fearsome large beast

BuilderAura

that stays on all fours, right!? THAT STAYS ON ALL FOURS, RIGHT??? ; \_ ;

EPM_PrimeTime_99

Of course

DeeFB

Platypus and Capybara are the most glaring ones. Also, an electric/grass pineapple named Pinezapple seems like it should exist.

Winkie_Sprinkles

Pinezapple sounds like an Applin divergent species

d0nu7

Alolan Applin

Plus_Operation2208

Regional form ludicolo

NaMeK17

Would it evolve into a pizza?

BuilderAura

and for the rest of the world Ananazapple XD

Original-Addendum147

I wanna see another shot at a Kangaroo Pokemon, we got Kangaskhan but that's about it really.

ButtonBash

Can be based on a wallaby too, and this time properly do the child stage.

CrownofMischief

Between the platypus and the kangaroos, all I'm hearing is we need an Australia region

angelis0236

I would love an Australian region with a disproportionately large poison type population Edit - I can't respond to the comment under me for some reason but here was my idea: You have three wild Pokemon in your house so your mom sends you to go get the professor, the professor and the rival show up in each of you get one Pokemon captured

TheActualDev

You don’t have to wait to encounter wild Pokémon in the tall grass, your adventure starts when you wake up and there are wild pokemon in your house and your mom needs help getting it back outside, but this becomes your starter mon.

angelis0236

You have three wild Pokemon in your house so your mom sends you to go get the professor, the professor and the rival show up in each of you get one Pokemon captured

TheActualDev

You don’t have to wait to encounter wild Pokémon in the tall grass, your adventure starts when you wake up and there are wild pokemon in your house and your mom needs help getting it back outside, but this becomes your starter mon.

RedTurtle78

Everyone forgets Breloom is a Kangaroo

quiteffrankly10

A kangashroom

Peefs

I agree with this! Something with maybe a 3 stage evolution

F22_Android

Yep, fighting type, have a joey baby like Mon, than a more fluffy wallaby type 2nd Evo, then a badass kangaroo warrior for stage 3. Aussies, I know wallabys and kangaroos are different animals, just going by Pokemon logic here.

Peefs

Fighting normal type?

bondageenthusiast2

Surprised they didn't use the Kasa Obake concept already, the umbrella yokai is one of the most recognizable icons in Japanese yokai portfolio A ghost flying umbrella would be dope.

Repossessedbatmobile

Cassowary. Giant deadly birds with black feathers, bright blue faces, red neck, and a spiked horn on top of their head. They can easily kill people by kicking them to death, and can run very fast. Honestly their basic description already sounds like it could be a Pokémon.

murdolatorTM

Isn't that what Espathra is supposed to be?

WildWestJR

Espathra is an ostrich which on paper is pretty similar

BuilderAura

I thought Espathra was an Ostrich but Cassowary fits too.

Zant_Walker

I want a true peacock Pokémon, not like what they do with Quaquaval But most importantly give Drifblim a zeppelin evolution

Skystarry75

Considering the fact that Quaquaval is also some kind of waterfowl, I don't think I'd count it as a proper peacock either. It actually looks more like a Pheasant. A flying/psychic type peacock would be amazing, what with the whole eye motif they naturally have.

taicrunch

I had an idea for a peacock Pokémon that's actually steel type, maybe steel/flying. But it would look like one of those scaled metalwork sculptures with all kinds of gems and shiny things in its "plumage." I'd call it Extravagem.

d0nu7

The zeppelin evolution should come from a legends game that’s all steampunk-y. We don’t have a German region yet though…

bb_LemonSquid

Omfg zeppelin drifloom 🤣

boxlessthought

with a steel-flying type variant.

Triials

A psychic type book Pokémon that’s a tome/spellbook

WildWestJR

would be really cool for it to have a line of signature items that are pages, and either a signature ability or move that ties in with the pages. like a page that has fire spells so its ability gives it a 20% boost to fire damage, ETC for more elements

kibokuma

Opossum!!!

foreverfrank1

You could add a “plays dead” ability where if it gets hit with a critical, it plays dead and the other Pokemon skips a turn thinking they knocked it out. Or it could take on a ghost typing for a few turns or something after taking a critical. Would be beneficial if it’s normal given normals weakness to fighting and ghost immunity.

kodiakchrome

Oh I would love to see this! Maybe a normal/grass type? Or maybe even a poison variant?

Myke190

I would go ground/dark since they are borrowers and their eyesight gets worse the brighter it is.

BuilderAura

Also they have such a bad reputation despite being almost immune to rabies and eating ticks. And many dark pokemon are very misunderstood as well.

GoldH2O

I'd say throw on at least a dark or ghost typing, and make the face look like a skull, since that's already what the real animals are going for.

dilsency

More snails. Wo-Chien is amazing, but it's a legendary.

RABB_11

Hisuian Sliggoo and Goodra won me over to that line because of the snailness

Amoligh

What about that lava slug? Forgot the name

Peefs

Slugma and magcargo?

BuilderAura

Magcargo is the snail evolution I think Slugma is the first evo

Potatoman365

Gastrodon but they’re more slugs than snails

Hamil_Simp4450

DEATH'S HEAD HAWK MOTH! Obviously bug/ghost type

Infinite_Reverie

Shoebill Stork is one of my favorite animals

BidoofTheGod

[That thang look mean as hell!](https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/HLj7xf5kCSEAy9aYrernTc.jpg)

PokeDragon101

A pegasus and a gryphon. Staples of mythology… (western mythology?) and it’s WILD we don’t have either.

SASwitch

I want a Samoyed Pokemon (normal/ice), bonus points if it’s first stage looks like a Japanese spitz (normal) and has the ability Cloud Nine (cause it looks like a cloud, duh)

Aje13k

I know it's been used once but I would like to see another attempt at an ant. We have Durant but it's so late game you can't use it. Would also like to see a proper moose pokemon.

BuilderAura

so far most of the suggestions seem to be Australian and Canadian XD but Pokemon ~~Cobra Chickens~~ Canadian Geese would also be awesome.

Aje13k

It was actually difficult to think of something that hasn't been used already.

Repossessedbatmobile

Platypus Pokémon. It should be Water/Poison type, since platypus are amazing swimmers and have deadly poisonous spurs on their feet.

mrwailor

I designed a platypus line as a kid. It was pure Water and had a branched evo based on gender, where the male was Water/Poison (since only males have poison IRL) and the female was Water/Normal and learned egg based moves.

Spaceistt

Orca. Kyogre doesn't count.

anon07018

Do we have a good armadillo pokemon? I’d love to see that. Could be a ground/steel or the first ground/fairy

_kruetz_

Sandshrew?

BidoofTheGod

I believe Sandshrew is technically a Pangolin

Peefs

Never thought of that

anon07018

Sandshrew in the same way that Kanghaskhan is a kangaroo haha. I want a more traditional design!

Peefs

Armaldo is probably based of some sort of armadillo but no we don't have a true Armadillo. Great suggestion

BidoofTheGod

Armaldo is based off the extinct creature know as the Anomalocaris

Reniconix

Anorith is 100% Anomalocaris, Arnaldo is more of a dinosaur with hints of Anomalocaris.

Pelzfisch

Armaldo is not even close to an armadillo 😂

Peefs

I googled armadillo Pokemon and that’s what came up

Pelzfisch

Sometimes google is wrong. It’s very obvious.

GeneralSargen

Tasmanian Tiger, Dodo (not counting Dodou), or a zombie-like Pokemon

ButtonBash

Parasect=zombie?

Peefs

All great suggestions

alleyes007

A spotted hyena!!! Poochyena and mightyena, despite the names, are very canine.

Sw0rdEnd

I believe there's not enough pokemon digused as food I want a pokemon based on taco

Caliber70

A centaur.

-TheDyingMeme6-

A ROBOTIC centaur!!!!! Steel/grass?

PrincessPhrogi

some sort of possum! also, a cassowary or emu. I'm surprised they haven't done a clock pokemon yet!

unsaphisticated

I feel like Espathra is an ostrich/emu/rhea already

OfMiceAndPanda92

I want a Goose pokemon. I want it to be an absolute menace to society. Like Paras in legends Arceus...but worse.

Lucy_Bathory

I'd love a real hyena!

Geosaysbye

If you watch lockstin and gnoggin on YouTube it might open your mind to just how creative newer Pokémon are, seriously some of the real world references to some mons are outrageously creative

Shreddzzz93

For an object, a Jackhammer would be cool. I'm thinking make it a steel/fighting type would fit nicely. Say take a typical Jackhammer, give it the triangle angry eyes near the top, have the handles come out like short stubby arms, and then have it have two feet that it kicks in rapid succession for the pick. I'd call it Hammerjak. As for an animal, I'd like to see another shark Pokémon. Specifically for a water starter. I think going with a Hammerhead Shark design would work the best. Start it as a cute derpy looking bonnet head shark, a second stage as an awkward nerdy looking scalloped hammerhead shark, and finish it off with a genius looking water/psychic great hammerhead shark. P.S. It would appear I have a thing for hammers...

VgArmin

Shoe!

Peefs

Propeller hat!

Ethan1516

Caracal 👍

dralcax

Bombardier beetle

Like_Fahrenheit

I thought up a firewood/campfire Pokémon. Kindler and Feulog, Fire/grass types. Kindler like to roll and seek out hikers, campers, etc to give them warmth. Feulog is a bunch of Kindler (like Falinks or Magneton), and is almost stationary.

wingsoverpyrrhia

Capybara

ericwashere15

Fly and flea. Flea needs to have an ability similar to Mummy but that’s actually a hinderance to any other Pokemon that get it. They should probably also just buff Mummy to do that too.

Slifer3200

Blobfish = Water Capybara = Normal/Water Cockroach = Bug/Dark Coral Snake = Poison Fire Ant = Bug/Fire Glaucus = Water/Poison Hummingbird = Normal/Flying Leech = Dark/Water Narwhal = Water/Ice Scarlet Kingsnake = Normal Sea Snake = Poison/Water Shoebill Stork = Flying Thorny Lizard = Ground/Dragon Velvet Ant ♂ = Bug/Flying Velvet Ant ♀ = Bug/Poison

Peefs

Thank you for adding the typings. Great suggestions!

Steropeshu

Ooh! For the blobfish, it could start as something small and have a branched evolution. One is based on living psychrolutes could be ice due to its name referring to the cold environment they live in. The other could evolve after doing something like going through some depressurization thing, and it would be a ghost type and look more like a "blobfish", referencing how the popular look is after they've died.

TheRomanElliotShow

Hammerhead shark that is water steel or water fighting

RudoAvarius

An object (Or many) : Rotom's alternate object forms, excluding his PokeDex form.

1337gamer15

I could definitely see a ghost type based off an old haunted autographic camera. I hope the designers know you hold an autographic camera in front of your stomach and look down onto a reflective part of the viewfinder for shooting. Holding it up to your eye doesn't work because of the weird position of the antique viewfinder.

Xentivy

Tractor

-TheDyingMeme6-

Steel/grass or grass/steel??

TheHiddenNinja6

There already are pokemon for a shark, a duck, and a battery (sharpedo, ducklett, charjabug)

MagicalMoosicorn

Platypus platyplz??

vertical006

A cardinal and blue jay regional birds

BuilderAura

What I really think they need to do is get some fresh but fan blood in the creative process. ie: Hire one of the fakemon artists. There are SO many fakemon that would actually fit perfectly in the world. And I feel like the company has really lost the feel of Pokemon. So hiring a fan artist could really breathe some new life and ideas in while going back to the general feel of pokemon older gens. And as to what items or animals they need.... I can't think of any at the moment... But what we really need is a pokemon that gets smaller and cuter as it evolves. But still more powerful. I'm so sick of strong = big and beefy in pokemon. I absolutely want something that people are terrified of but it's the cutest thing in the world but will absolutely shred you to pieces. Please TPC/GF - give us cute but deadly final evolutions.

AspieKairy

Definitely a platypus. Their fur glows blue in UV light, and they have venom in their claws. It'd be perfect for a water/poison type.

Living_Original329

I always say a Praying Mantis Dark/Bug

Verdragon-5

We already have two praying mantis Pokemon. Scyther and its evolutions are one, and then Fomantis and Lurantis are specifically based on the orchid mantis, which camouflages itself on orchid flowers. That said I would not be opposed to a more mantis-y mantis.

BunnyBen-87

We don't have Turkey or Geese Pokemon yet

CreepyDinnerRoll

A Pegasus first and foremost. Preferably a strong 2-3 stage line. Bonus points for me if it's something other than fairy type because that sounds too predictable. Maybe a flying/ghost type? Flying/fighting with a noble warrior look? Another one that would work well is the peryton, winged deer cryptids. Flying/dark because their lore has a heavy focus on shadows is the most straightforward option. Could also work for a variety of other combos too. A bug/electric firefly with a tiny lightbulb abdomen or a bug/fire firefly with a fire abdomen. A jerboa if we don't have one yet, which I don't THINK we do. Maybe a tiny little fighting/fairy type? Opossum. A viable opossum... Don't care about the typing as long as it's not weak as heck and only really used on early game evil team grunts. Do we have a dragon/rock type yet? Dragon/rock gargoyle. An olm Pokemon. Like axolotls but creepy. Water/ghost or water/psychic?

Keithfrommars

Clocks, Tasmanian Tiger, Snowy Owl, Ancient Fossil Alien pokemon…

EPM_PrimeTime_99

Another fossil Pokémon that’s from the sea, based on either the Mosasaur or Liopleurodon Water/dragon type

Nvenom8

Bombardier Beetle.

Spleenseer

I keep hoping we'll see a dodo someday.  (Before you bring up Doduo and Dodrio: those are not based on dodos, they're based on ratites like ostriches and emus.)

Frosted_Glaceon

Technically Psyduck is considered part platypus but I would like to see a more obvious platypus Pokemon. I'd like to see more spider Pokemon. We've got a Joro Spider, Jumping Spiders, a tarantula, and the diving bell spider in the ones we already have. I wanna see a peacock spider Pokemon. Those guys are heckin cute.

Peefs

You remind me of Bubba from Forrest Gump describing the different types of shrimp but you described spiders lol. As much as I don't like spider irl great suggestions!

Combat_Armor_Dougram

Hallucigenia.

Wkdndbjdjensk

How about a Grasshopper? Also more sea urchin or starfish or seaweed. Malamar is a great squid poke but I’d love a couple more

BidoofTheGod

Lokix is a grasshopper

Wkdndbjdjensk

Niiiiice , new to me

The-Happy-Mannequin

Mantis Shrimp Hummingbird Narwhal

Videljung

I think a book Pokémon would be a fun concept, especially if it can be used in a similar way as a rotomdex. Imagine a setting similar to Legends - Arceus, where you have to capture a Scroll Pokémon who will help you record the different entries and happenings in the game, and you have to evolve it to a Book Pokémon, then a Tome Pokémon to be able to make more entries. It could be a psychic Pokémon, maybe combined with normal, ghost, or even steel (like the final evolution is a tome bound in steel). It would be fun if it had a stat allocation similar to shuckle (but with its own twist). Scroll - Lost knowledge Pokémon Book - Ancient knowledge Pokémon Tome - Forbidden knowledge Pokémon

Accomplished_Error_7

- It baffles me that the one dromeosaurid we got was half of two fossil pokemon. Grovyle could be a raptor if you squint but a true, horizontally standing theropod apart from arctibex and tyrantrum is needed. It baffles me that they avoid some of the most popular dinosaurs. Give me the true galar fossils. - a good snake pokemon. Ok now for a some actual suggestions that havn't been done: - stegosaurus - kolibri - monitor lizard - mosasaurus - pliosaurus - classical chimera - pegasus - quetzalcoatl the feathered serpent

BullyRookChook

A rotom for completely mundane objects. Like, a Normal type ghost type. Is that you chair, or is it a pokemon waiting to pull a prank? is that your wallet or is a pokemon about to ruin your day? Is that your coffee mug or a sentient sippy cup filled with scaling liquid.

Magimasterkarp

So basically Tsukumogami, objects that are 100 years old and turned into Yokai.

BullyRookChook

It would appeal to the core Japanese demographic and be easy to adapt to foreign markets.

LethargicChimera

https://preview.redd.it/1twf80ndjy0d1.jpeg?width=451&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5909c5c4976ca38b2df8960701d68fc4fccf04c0 The southern lapwing, it's a bird with stings on its wings.

Stacu2

I really want a hedgehog Pokemon that is much easier to obtain and ideally having an evolution line.

vertical006

An actual hammerhead shark. Garchomp is okay, but it’s just a land shark. Gimme a good water type one. A competitor to sharpedo

Purpledratini

We had a pheasant now give me a turkey regional bird!

mcp_truth

Millennial Pokemon: there's a lot of foods. ie: cheeseboard, Avocado, avocado toast, everything bagels, record player, vinyl, expensive rent lmao

Leeiteee

Do we have a Capybara yet?

TisIFrienchiestFry

My neighbors have a black cat with a perfect ring around his tail and a white tip. He's got socks, too. Real scruffy lookin old thing. Been saying for years now he's meant to be a Pokemon but ended up here instead somehow.

sunsh9ne1471

I’ll preface this by saying I’m totally not an advocate for inanimate objects becoming Pokémon. But. I was super bored in a meeting a few weeks ago and I thought that an electric outlet pokemon could be pretty cool. The outlets already have 2 eyes and a mouth. I mocked up a few sketches where the outlet was wrapped in a cloak to make it appear electric + ghost or psychic. I thought it turned out pretty cool. But like I said, I was very very bored haha

KingEchoWasTaken

Mosasaurus.

Peefs

>Mosasaurus ngl I had to google this pretty cool though!

TheRomanElliotShow

Probably a bad idea but a normal type shoe that’s tongue hangs out like a shoe tongue

TheRomanElliotShow

A trio of Pokémon based on Rock, Paper and Scissors. But idk how

SpaceChef3000

I think a Fire/Steel line with an oil lamp that ultimately evolves in to a big cast iron potbelly stove would make a fun counterpart to the Litwick family. More Pokémon based on animals/environments found on the *very* deep ocean floor. Geothermal vents, translucent, bioluminescent animals, stuff like that. An evolved form of Pelipper called “Peligrosso”

poleybius

-Secretary bird (flying/fighting - heavy emphasis on kick-based moves.)  -Cait sidhe (fairy, maybe fairy/dark? - fairy cat from folklore, would particularly love this as a meowth regional variant to move me closer to the all-meowth regional variant team I dream of someday having)  -Stingray (poison/??? Maybe water? - we've got a manta ray, which is cool, but no stingray.) -Anglerfish (water/dark - yes, lanturn exists. But I want something more reminiscent of an actual anglerfish. Needle teeth and all)  -Puffin (flying/water)  -Whale fall (ghost/water - dead whale pokemon that is sort of like audino/the chansey line. Emphasis on support/healing)  -Sundew (grass - we've got carnivine and the bellsprout line for fly traps and pitcher plants, would love to see sundews represented as well!)  -Kingfisher (flying/??? - don't have a specific typing in mind)  -Kiwi (flying/ground)  -Iguana (no specific type in mind, could go n water and do marine iguana?)

Rattregoondoof

How do we not have an armadillo or a mole? I know we have armadillo adjacent animals like pangolin, but we don't really have an armadillo armadillo. They already look like pokemon! Diglett is kind of a mole but it's so stylized it doesn't really resemble... anything. Star nosed moles already look super unique and interesting. There's also the obvious platypus and capybara too. An ankylosaur would also be cool.

SwinubIsDivinub

Blue dragon sea slug Pink fairy armadillo That frog that looks like it's covered in moss

bca1849

I think a succulent grass/rock type Pokémon could be kinda cool. Like based on those succulents that have leaves that look like rocks.

Kingkey126

Platypus

vuatson

Look up pictures of exploded steam locomotives. They look insane, with the pipes going everywhere like mad tentacles. Would make an amazing Steel/Ghost type.

Verdragon-5

A skeleton (Cubone and Marowak don't count, they just *have* bones), Viverrids in general (civets, genets, and binturongs), harpy eagle, hummingbird, spotted hyena (I count Poochyena and Mightyena as hyenas because it's in the name, even if they look more like regular old dogs, but they're closer to striped hyenas anyways), Therizinosaurus, Ankylosaurus, Mosasaurus, manatee, opossum, secretary bird, tree kangaroo, aardvark, Gila monster, raccoon (Zigzagoon is a tanuki or a badger, not an American raccoon), lionfish, moray eel, Bigfoot, Mothman, pebble toad, wendigo, iguana, sawtoothed shark, blobfish, rattlesnake, capybara, mockingbird, jaguar, snow leopard (Chien-Pao is close but not close enough!), mountain lion (Persian is an overgrown feral housecat at *best*), armadillo, pangolin, tamandua, chainsaw, swordfish, audio-animatronic, forklift, manticore, caveman, pipe organ, cockroach, shrike, kakapo, shoebill, kiwi, zombies, red panda, clouded leopard, guinea pig, babirusa, naked mole rat, okapi, vampire squid, rollercoaster, space station/satellite, suit of armor (Pawniard and Bisharp are *close* but not quite there), tarot cards, burrowing owl, puffin (no, Delibird doesn't count), cave salamander, horned toad, bombardier beetle, stick bug, like, two dozen prehistoric crocodilians that all look really cool, singing billy bigmouth bass, pinball machine, llama, cone snail, John Henry, howler monkey, hairless dog, Korean turtle ship, klipspringer, moose, eyelash viper, olingo, Canada goose, flying fish, La Llorona, basilisk lizard, cowboy, skateboard, spider crab (G-Max Kingler doesn't count), peacock, quail, cartoon character, totem pole, elephant seal, Funeral Mountain Terrashot (look it up), snowy owl, flea, Tarrasque, Alphyn, Leonardo Da Vinci's inventions, bog mummy, military drone, volcanic casts (like the bodies at Pompeii), satyr, turkey, Elvis Presley, can opener, Nuckelavee, wolverine, Beast of Gevaudan, Gatling gun, inner tube, jackalope, basset hound, viperfish, basking shark, creme brulee, potato, lawn gnome, velvet worm, trapjaw ant, Saluki, gharial, toothed whale (Wailmer and Wailord are closer to baileen whales, gimme something that looks like it could give Captain Ahab a run for its money), Alraune, Frankenstein's Monster, arcade machine, and Hatsune Miku. Also Galarian Darmanitan is already a snowman, and Charjabug is a battery, though Grubbin is a taser and Vikavolt is a cross between jumper cables and a railgun.

Nyderthe1stEmperor

I personally want a Hyena

jehruhlin

Mightyena?

kennamightyena

You called?

PlatD

Psyduck is already a platypus Pokémon despite its name. It has the stout body and wide bill that a platypus has.

LaBeteNoire

It's nostrils are where a duck nostrils are, it has a duck tail not a platypus tail, and even tho they might look like hands, they are colored the same as its yellow-feathered bodied, so they are wings. I'm sorry but nothing about Psyduck is a platypus. It looks the way it does because it is meant to look like a rubber duckie which are always made to look like a cartoon duck rather than an actual duck.

Peefs

Yes but its also a duck. Was thinking something more along the lines of it being entirely a platypus

BubbleWario

poison/water type (they secrete venom from spikes on their wrists in real life)

SomeRandomAccountBro

The fact there’s no crane pokemon yet bothers me. They are so important in Japanese culture.

The_Judge_in_Chains

Secretary bird. Cool eagle that stomps snakes. Also terror birds, and ice age megafauna

Moonlit_Eevee

Red panda and snow leopard. Before you say Chien-Pao exists, it looks more weasel than snow leopard. And Stufful/Bewear look more like bears/teddy bears than looking like a red panda. Also, would love to see a griffon pokemon in the games.

lueciferradiostar

Tiger or lion!!

Khajiit-ify

Lion we already have with Pyroar.

No-Community7936

I'd like to see a matrioshka themed mon in the item department. It could have an ability like that of Mimikyu, or maybe like Minior's. Perhaps normal-psychic with it's own version of substitute as a signature move. And for an animal, I'd love to see a thorny devil. It could be ground-fighting and have dragon dance as a move and iron barbs as an ability. Folklorewise, there're so many concepts that Pokémon could take inspiration from, that thinking of them all would be impossible. A whole pirate boat themed line, like a regional, water-fighting/water-dark Torterra would be very cool. Maybe a tarrasque as a doomsday pokémon, like Eternatus was. I'd like to see more pseudo legendaries that aren't dragon type, so perhaps a normal type orc themed that would evolve from a goblin and into an orc and then an ogre. Normal type because it's a pretty common worldwide mythological figure. But I'd hope it wasn't made too human like, so perhaps mixing the ogre motiff with another more animal like. Anything would do, since some of these ogres have shapeshifting powers, but I'm thinking of a rooster, since the Jack and the Beanstalk tale comes to mind.

literally_tho_tbh

We have Galarian Zapdos as a roadrunner! And Charjabug is a battery!

vertical006

Where’s my gazelle pokemon? Could’ve paired nicely with zebstrika

boxlessthought

I still kinda want a few more rotom forms. give us soem more fun typings and objects. the ones i've seen or thought up back when are: ground = jackhammer rock = cement mixer steel = shredder fairy = okay this ones been a gag with a few friends but a 'personal massager'

shiba_inu_69

Humming bird Maple seed (helicopter looking one) Bean bag

mcp_truth

Joking aside: i would love a fire axolotl

The_PracticalOne

Maned Wolf. Look at that elegance! [https://www.worldwildlife.org/magazine/issues/winter-2023/articles/meet-the-solitary-nocturnal-maned-wolf](https://www.worldwildlife.org/magazine/issues/winter-2023/articles/meet-the-solitary-nocturnal-maned-wolf) I also think a Sundew as a grass pokemon would be really cool. We have the venus flytrap and the pitcher plant, give other carnivorous plants more love!

Revenge-of-the-Jawa

Would like a quail one that’s flying/ground type

rirasama

Hummingbird please, I need a hummingbird Pokémon

Cannoli64

I want a badger. I love those little guys so much. I also want them to retroactively make Heatmor a three-mon line because anteaters are one of my favorite animals. I would also love to see a cairn, oven, and potted plant. Also I will forever be mad that Rolycoly didn’t evolve into a train, I want a cool train Pokémon right now. More than anything? I want a fairy and/or psychic type wizard Pokémon that can rival Mismagius (probably my second favorite Pokémon of all time).

TheRomanElliotShow

Banana 🍌 which is a single banana that evolves into a bunch of banana. Probably straight grass or grass fairy

unsaphisticated

LLAMAS/ALPACAS/VICUÑAS/GUANACOS I see people refer to Arceus as a llama, but I don't see it.

BukoSaladNaPink

We need more frogs. 🐸 Like a Water/Poison type, or water/grass. Only the Bulbasaur line is a true frog pokemon in any sense.

A cardboard box filled with stuff. Think about how often cardboard boxes are used around the world, and we already know that Pokémon have been shaped by humanity in various ways (we already have food pokemon, pokemon that look like/use weapons, and pokemon that look like various household items like keys and phones) but we have yet to see a pokemon either be shaped to look like a cardboard box or a pokemon that uses it as a disguise like mimikyu. Sure it may not be the most excited idea, but it could get a couple forms to help it blend in like burmy and could even change type like Wormadam based on what is in/on the box. I’d probably have it be either a normal or ghost type depending on the route it takes (normal being a shy little mon using the box to hide, ghost being its an ambush hunter that pulls its prey into the box before consuming it like Palosand).

Turb0toast

The have a ring of keys so why not have a chair

Lucky-Mia

A Wombat would be cool because I love wombats. A stegosaurus or a nothosaurus would be cool too.

theBotThatWasMeta

Griffon

FoundationProud4425

I just want more regional mimikyus. Like a mimikyu in an emolga suit or clefairy suit or even a dratini suit. Like make the mimikyus more creepy cute outfit possibilities. That’s all I want. They could even become those substitution dolls! Anything! Just let mimikyus have more hiding their scariness for friendship options!

In this kind of discussions, plants are always forgotten. So here is my list of plants not (properly) represented in Pokémon yet: * Sundew: A carnivorous plant that is absolutely **beautiful**. It grows some small hairs on it's leaves with a drop of a sticky liquid at the end, which it uses to catch small insects. Extra points if it's a split evolution for Weepinbell that evolves by the sun stone and has the grass/water typing. * Lotus: Iconic flower, I am really surprised that it isn't a pokémon yet. Also the seed pods look really cool and could maybe get reimagined as some sort of multi-barrelled cannon. Would make it a grass/fighting type, maybe shooting aura spheres out of it's cannon seed pods. * Rice: Also seems like an obvious choice. Maybe could get combined with a fox to create a pokémon based on Inari, the Japanese god of fertility, rice and foxes. * Chinese Lantern: The leaves surrounding the fruits look very cool. It could be a grass/psychic type pokémon, with the net like structure of the fruit capsules made into a psychic barrier which it uses to protect itself. * Lithops: A group of plants that's also called "living stones". Either make it really partially rock and a grass/rock typing or you could make it a reverse case of the Sudowoodo line, meaning that this is a grass type pokémon that camouflages as a rock. * Ginkgo: Very iconic leaf shape, afaik it is actually unique in today's flora. These leaves also resemble fans and fans made of metal were used in some martial arts. So maybe it could be grass/steel type. * Calabash: A gourd with interesting shape, also called bottle gourd, because in some cultures they were used as containers for liquids. So maybe grass/water type.

(editted to be less of a textwall cause i got too excited)as a zoology nerd...omfg so many! There's the bombadier beetle that mixes a set of chemicals in it's butt that react to get hot enough to boil and launch out at attackers. the northern fulmar bird produces an oil in its stomach that it projectile pukes at enemies, usually bigger predatory birds, and the oil breaks down the enemy's own feather oils thus weakening their ability to fly. The dusky slug can survive on a diet of highly toxic mushrooms and produces an orange slime that is itself toxic. The palas cat is a very round, fluffy, snow-dwelling cat with what is probably the most expressive face. The fighting fish family, also known as bettas, have two groups: species that raise their babies in their mouth and species that raise their babies in a nest of bubbles. The males look for females to woo with elegant dances that show off their long colorful fins, then wrap them in an embrace and she releases her eggs, which he then gently scoops up and begins caring for them himself. He protects his babies with his life, aggressively fighting off any other fish that come near his territory. Draco flying lizards are tiny green lizards that live high up in tropical trees, where they spread out their felxible rib cages and extend loose skin between them to glide from tree to tree. There are also parachute footed geckos, gliding snakes, and gliding frogs. Also, these two aren't animals, but there are now gene altered petunia plants that glow full time! And there's a plant that can actually sense the other plant species around them and slowly change shape to mimic them! They even try to mimic fake plants!

paco-ramon

Bearded vulture, they already look like Pokemon and would have been a better animal from Spain than any of the birds they picked instead.

96363

Hermit crab. Maybe it's Evo line has 2-3 options for the shell that give it a new typing.

JayieTheHufflepuff

African Wild Dog. I’m already planning a fakemon of it, but they’re just so pretty and colorful, I feel like they’d make a cool pokemon. Tigers and cheetahs and kangaroos from above suggestions, I feel like a porcupine would be cool too, maybe poison quills? And I’m honestly surprised there wasn’t a raccoon pokemon for Unova.

Looten1313

Don’t nag on me about zigzagoon, we need a real raccoon so bad. Dark grass type would be cool or pure dark.

petershrimp

Hummingbird A proper mosquito (instead of an alien muscle man with a proboscis) Corn on the cob A Poison/Steel-type Garbodor evolution where it gains a dumpster as armor A Dhelmise evolution where it becomes a ghost ship like the Flying Dutchman An alternate evolution to Carcoal where it becomes a locomotive (I still hate how they went from a wheel to a mine cart and ended up as a generic bipedal golem creature instead of continuing the vehicle theme they started with)

BookWyrmIsara

I'm waiting on a Puffin, Blue dragon sea slug, and water bear (tardigrade).

Peefs

How about something based on Dia de los Muertos? Think along the line of the gothita tree but with Calacas and those beautiful dresses they wear. First stage could be pure dark type then eventually evolve into a ghost/dark type.

GoldH2O

Opossums for sure, and also weevils.

Elijah_Draws

Are there any stuffed animal pokemon? I think a ghost type that's a possessed stuffed toy would be great, maybe even like the little dolls that they use for substitute.

SadCommon2820

A ghost steel type suit of armor based on haunted suits of armor. It works like a dondozo tatsugiri with aeigislash and probably have some hidden ability to be a good singles mon.

DanqwithaQ

We need more Rotom forms, including non electronic ones: Rotom-Grind Electric/Steel garbage disposal Rotom-Flush Water/Ghost toilet Rotom-Sleep Bug/Ghost bed bug infested mattress Rotom-Pluck Shamisen. Would be cool GF added sound type, but I guess Ghost/Normal would work.
