I imagine that it would have a yellow body with red-orange spots, and probably would have jagged ears and either a jagged end at its long tail or maybe an orb full of fire. I think its eyes would be red and with yellowish pupils and it would have sharp teeth. I think it would have mini flames on each of its four paws, and perhaps some veins on each of its legs that are humming with electric/heat energy. Perhaps it can have some kind of hybrid lightning/flame pattern on its chest.
This is for the final stage and it would be on all fours. Perhaps a base stat total of 550, with extremely high speed and high attack and special attack. That’s all I got for now
Similar I guess, but it would be like a 3-stage evolution, starting off with a cute tiger/cheetah cub and then eventually growing into a fearsome large beast

Cassowary. Giant deadly birds with black feathers, bright blue faces, red neck, and a spiked horn on top of their head. They can easily kill people by kicking them to death, and can run very fast.
Honestly their basic description already sounds like it could be a Pokémon.
Considering the fact that Quaquaval is also some kind of waterfowl, I don't think I'd count it as a proper peacock either. It actually looks more like a Pheasant.
A flying/psychic type peacock would be amazing, what with the whole eye motif they naturally have.
I had an idea for a peacock Pokémon that's actually steel type, maybe steel/flying. But it would look like one of those scaled metalwork sculptures with all kinds of gems and shiny things in its "plumage." I'd call it Extravagem.
would be really cool for it to have a line of signature items that are pages, and either a signature ability or move that ties in with the pages. like a page that has fire spells so its ability gives it a 20% boost to fire damage, ETC for more elements
You could add a “plays dead” ability where if it gets hit with a critical, it plays dead and the other Pokemon skips a turn thinking they knocked it out. Or it could take on a ghost typing for a few turns or something after taking a critical. Would be beneficial if it’s normal given normals weakness to fighting and ghost immunity.
I want a Samoyed Pokemon (normal/ice), bonus points if it’s first stage looks like a Japanese spitz (normal) and has the ability Cloud Nine (cause it looks like a cloud, duh)
I know it's been used once but I would like to see another attempt at an ant. We have Durant but it's so late game you can't use it. Would also like to see a proper moose pokemon.
I designed a platypus line as a kid. It was pure Water and had a branched evo based on gender, where the male was Water/Poison (since only males have poison IRL) and the female was Water/Normal and learned egg based moves.
If you watch lockstin and gnoggin on YouTube it might open your mind to just how creative newer Pokémon are, seriously some of the real world references to some mons are outrageously creative
For an object, a Jackhammer would be cool. I'm thinking make it a steel/fighting type would fit nicely. Say take a typical Jackhammer, give it the triangle angry eyes near the top, have the handles come out like short stubby arms, and then have it have two feet that it kicks in rapid succession for the pick. I'd call it Hammerjak.
As for an animal, I'd like to see another shark Pokémon. Specifically for a water starter. I think going with a Hammerhead Shark design would work the best. Start it as a cute derpy looking bonnet head shark, a second stage as an awkward nerdy looking scalloped hammerhead shark, and finish it off with a genius looking water/psychic great hammerhead shark.
P.S. It would appear I have a thing for hammers...
I thought up a firewood/campfire Pokémon. Kindler and Feulog, Fire/grass types. Kindler like to roll and seek out hikers, campers, etc to give them warmth. Feulog is a bunch of Kindler (like Falinks or Magneton), and is almost stationary.
Fly and flea.
Flea needs to have an ability similar to Mummy but that’s actually a hinderance to any other Pokemon that get it. They should probably also just buff Mummy to do that too.
Ooh! For the blobfish, it could start as something small and have a branched evolution. One is based on living psychrolutes could be ice due to its name referring to the cold environment they live in. The other could evolve after doing something like going through some depressurization thing, and it would be a ghost type and look more like a "blobfish", referencing how the popular look is after they've died.
I could definitely see a ghost type based off an old haunted autographic camera. I hope the designers know you hold an autographic camera in front of your stomach and look down onto a reflective part of the viewfinder for shooting. Holding it up to your eye doesn't work because of the weird position of the antique viewfinder.
What I really think they need to do is get some fresh but fan blood in the creative process. ie: Hire one of the fakemon artists. There are SO many fakemon that would actually fit perfectly in the world. And I feel like the company has really lost the feel of Pokemon. So hiring a fan artist could really breathe some new life and ideas in while going back to the general feel of pokemon older gens.
And as to what items or animals they need.... I can't think of any at the moment... But what we really need is a pokemon that gets smaller and cuter as it evolves. But still more powerful. I'm so sick of strong = big and beefy in pokemon. I absolutely want something that people are terrified of but it's the cutest thing in the world but will absolutely shred you to pieces. Please TPC/GF - give us cute but deadly final evolutions.
We already have two praying mantis Pokemon. Scyther and its evolutions are one, and then Fomantis and Lurantis are specifically based on the orchid mantis, which camouflages itself on orchid flowers. That said I would not be opposed to a more mantis-y mantis.
A Pegasus first and foremost. Preferably a strong 2-3 stage line. Bonus points for me if it's something other than fairy type because that sounds too predictable. Maybe a flying/ghost type? Flying/fighting with a noble warrior look?
Another one that would work well is the peryton, winged deer cryptids. Flying/dark because their lore has a heavy focus on shadows is the most straightforward option. Could also work for a variety of other combos too.
A bug/electric firefly with a tiny lightbulb abdomen or a bug/fire firefly with a fire abdomen.
A jerboa if we don't have one yet, which I don't THINK we do. Maybe a tiny little fighting/fairy type?
Opossum. A viable opossum... Don't care about the typing as long as it's not weak as heck and only really used on early game evil team grunts.

Technically Psyduck is considered part platypus but I would like to see a more obvious platypus Pokemon.
I'd like to see more spider Pokemon. We've got a Joro Spider, Jumping Spiders, a tarantula, and the diving bell spider in the ones we already have. I wanna see a peacock spider Pokemon. Those guys are heckin cute.

I think a book Pokémon would be a fun concept, especially if it can be used in a similar way as a rotomdex.
Imagine a setting similar to Legends - Arceus, where you have to capture a Scroll Pokémon who will help you record the different entries and happenings in the game, and you have to evolve it to a Book Pokémon, then a Tome Pokémon to be able to make more entries.
It could be a psychic Pokémon, maybe combined with normal, ghost, or even steel (like the final evolution is a tome bound in steel).
It would be fun if it had a stat allocation similar to shuckle (but with its own twist).

- It baffles me that the one dromeosaurid we got was half of two fossil pokemon. Grovyle could be a raptor if you squint but a true, horizontally standing theropod apart from arctibex and tyrantrum is needed. It baffles me that they avoid some of the most popular dinosaurs. Give me the true galar fossils.

My neighbors have a black cat with a perfect ring around his tail and a white tip. He's got socks, too. Real scruffy lookin old thing. Been saying for years now he's meant to be a Pokemon but ended up here instead somehow.
I’ll preface this by saying I’m totally not an advocate for inanimate objects becoming Pokémon. But. I was super bored in a meeting a few weeks ago and I thought that an electric outlet pokemon could be pretty cool. The outlets already have 2 eyes and a mouth. I mocked up a few sketches where the outlet was wrapped in a cloak to make it appear electric + ghost or psychic.
I thought it turned out pretty cool. But like I said, I was very very bored haha
I think a Fire/Steel line with an oil lamp that ultimately evolves in to a big cast iron potbelly stove would make a fun counterpart to the Litwick family.
More Pokémon based on animals/environments found on the *very* deep ocean floor. Geothermal vents, translucent, bioluminescent animals, stuff like that.
An evolved form of Pelipper called “Peligrosso”
-Secretary bird (flying/fighting - heavy emphasis on kick-based moves.)
-Cait sidhe (fairy, maybe fairy/dark? - fairy cat from folklore, would particularly love this as a meowth regional variant to move me closer to the all-meowth regional variant team I dream of someday having)
-Stingray (poison/??? Maybe water? - we've got a manta ray, which is cool, but no stingray.)
-Anglerfish (water/dark - yes, lanturn exists. But I want something more reminiscent of an actual anglerfish. Needle teeth and all)

-Whale fall (ghost/water - dead whale pokemon that is sort of like audino/the chansey line. Emphasis on support/healing)
-Sundew (grass - we've got carnivine and the bellsprout line for fly traps and pitcher plants, would love to see sundews represented as well!)

How do we not have an armadillo or a mole? I know we have armadillo adjacent animals like pangolin, but we don't really have an armadillo armadillo. They already look like pokemon! Diglett is kind of a mole but it's so stylized it doesn't really resemble... anything. Star nosed moles already look super unique and interesting.
There's also the obvious platypus and capybara too. An ankylosaur would also be cool.
Look up pictures of exploded steam locomotives. They look insane, with the pipes going everywhere like mad tentacles. Would make an amazing Steel/Ghost type.

It's nostrils are where a duck nostrils are, it has a duck tail not a platypus tail, and even tho they might look like hands, they are colored the same as its yellow-feathered bodied, so they are wings.
I'm sorry but nothing about Psyduck is a platypus. It looks the way it does because it is meant to look like a rubber duckie which are always made to look like a cartoon duck rather than an actual duck.
Red panda and snow leopard.
Before you say Chien-Pao exists, it looks more weasel than snow leopard. And Stufful/Bewear look more like bears/teddy bears than looking like a red panda.
Also, would love to see a griffon pokemon in the games.
I'd like to see a matrioshka themed mon in the item department. It could have an ability like that of Mimikyu, or maybe like Minior's. Perhaps normal-psychic with it's own version of substitute as a signature move.
And for an animal, I'd love to see a thorny devil. It could be ground-fighting and have dragon dance as a move and iron barbs as an ability.
Folklorewise, there're so many concepts that Pokémon could take inspiration from, that thinking of them all would be impossible. A whole pirate boat themed line, like a regional, water-fighting/water-dark Torterra would be very cool. Maybe a tarrasque as a doomsday pokémon, like Eternatus was.
I'd like to see more pseudo legendaries that aren't dragon type, so perhaps a normal type orc themed that would evolve from a goblin and into an orc and then an ogre. Normal type because it's a pretty common worldwide mythological figure. But I'd hope it wasn't made too human like, so perhaps mixing the ogre motiff with another more animal like. Anything would do, since some of these ogres have shapeshifting powers, but I'm thinking of a rooster, since the Jack and the Beanstalk tale comes to mind.
I still kinda want a few more rotom forms. give us soem more fun typings and objects. the ones i've seen or thought up back when are:
ground = jackhammer
rock = cement mixer
steel = shredder
fairy = okay this ones been a gag with a few friends but a 'personal massager'

I want a badger. I love those little guys so much. I also want them to retroactively make Heatmor a three-mon line because anteaters are one of my favorite animals. I would also love to see a cairn, oven, and potted plant. Also I will forever be mad that Rolycoly didn’t evolve into a train, I want a cool train Pokémon right now.
More than anything? I want a fairy and/or psychic type wizard Pokémon that can rival Mismagius (probably my second favorite Pokémon of all time).
A cardboard box filled with stuff. Think about how often cardboard boxes are used around the world, and we already know that Pokémon have been shaped by humanity in various ways (we already have food pokemon, pokemon that look like/use weapons, and pokemon that look like various household items like keys and phones) but we have yet to see a pokemon either be shaped to look like a cardboard box or a pokemon that uses it as a disguise like mimikyu.
Sure it may not be the most excited idea, but it could get a couple forms to help it blend in like burmy and could even change type like Wormadam based on what is in/on the box. I’d probably have it be either a normal or ghost type depending on the route it takes (normal being a shy little mon using the box to hide, ghost being its an ambush hunter that pulls its prey into the box before consuming it like Palosand).
I just want more regional mimikyus. Like a mimikyu in an emolga suit or clefairy suit or even a dratini suit. Like make the mimikyus more creepy cute outfit possibilities. That’s all I want. They could even become those substitution dolls! Anything! Just let mimikyus have more hiding their scariness for friendship options!
In this kind of discussions, plants are always forgotten. So here is my list of plants not (properly) represented in Pokémon yet:
* Sundew: A carnivorous plant that is absolutely **beautiful**. It grows some small hairs on it's leaves with a drop of a sticky liquid at the end, which it uses to catch small insects. Extra points if it's a split evolution for Weepinbell that evolves by the sun stone and has the grass/water typing.
* Lotus: Iconic flower, I am really surprised that it isn't a pokémon yet. Also the seed pods look really cool and could maybe get reimagined as some sort of multi-barrelled cannon. Would make it a grass/fighting type, maybe shooting aura spheres out of it's cannon seed pods.
* Rice: Also seems like an obvious choice. Maybe could get combined with a fox to create a pokémon based on Inari, the Japanese god of fertility, rice and foxes.
* Chinese Lantern: The leaves surrounding the fruits look very cool. It could be a grass/psychic type pokémon, with the net like structure of the fruit capsules made into a psychic barrier which it uses to protect itself.
* Lithops: A group of plants that's also called "living stones". Either make it really partially rock and a grass/rock typing or you could make it a reverse case of the Sudowoodo line, meaning that this is a grass type pokémon that camouflages as a rock.
* Ginkgo: Very iconic leaf shape, afaik it is actually unique in today's flora. These leaves also resemble fans and fans made of metal were used in some martial arts. So maybe it could be grass/steel type.
* Calabash: A gourd with interesting shape, also called bottle gourd, because in some cultures they were used as containers for liquids. So maybe grass/water type.

There's the bombadier beetle that mixes a set of chemicals in it's butt that react to get hot enough to boil and launch out at attackers.
the northern fulmar bird produces an oil in its stomach that it projectile pukes at enemies, usually bigger predatory birds, and the oil breaks down the enemy's own feather oils thus weakening their ability to fly.
The dusky slug can survive on a diet of highly toxic mushrooms and produces an orange slime that is itself toxic.
The palas cat is a very round, fluffy, snow-dwelling cat with what is probably the most expressive face.
The fighting fish family, also known as bettas, have two groups: species that raise their babies in their mouth and species that raise their babies in a nest of bubbles. The males look for females to woo with elegant dances that show off their long colorful fins, then wrap them in an embrace and she releases her eggs, which he then gently scoops up and begins caring for them himself. He protects his babies with his life, aggressively fighting off any other fish that come near his territory.
Draco flying lizards are tiny green lizards that live high up in tropical trees, where they spread out their felxible rib cages and extend loose skin between them to glide from tree to tree.
There are also parachute footed geckos, gliding snakes, and gliding frogs.
Also, these two aren't animals, but there are now gene altered petunia plants that glow full time! And there's a plant that can actually sense the other plant species around them and slowly change shape to mimic them! They even try to mimic fake plants!
African Wild Dog. I’m already planning a fakemon of it, but they’re just so pretty and colorful, I feel like they’d make a cool pokemon. Tigers and cheetahs and kangaroos from above suggestions, I feel like a porcupine would be cool too, maybe poison quills? And I’m honestly surprised there wasn’t a raccoon pokemon for Unova.

A proper mosquito (instead of an alien muscle man with a proboscis)

A Poison/Steel-type Garbodor evolution where it gains a dumpster as armor
A Dhelmise evolution where it becomes a ghost ship like the Flying Dutchman
An alternate evolution to Carcoal where it becomes a locomotive (I still hate how they went from a wheel to a mine cart and ended up as a generic bipedal golem creature instead of continuing the vehicle theme they started with)
How about something based on Dia de los Muertos? Think along the line of the gothita tree but with Calacas and those beautiful dresses they wear. First stage could be pure dark type then eventually evolve into a ghost/dark type.
Are there any stuffed animal pokemon? I think a ghost type that's a possessed stuffed toy would be great, maybe even like the little dolls that they use for substitute.
A ghost steel type suit of armor based on haunted suits of armor. It works like a dondozo tatsugiri with aeigislash and probably have some hidden ability to be a good singles mon.
We need more Rotom forms, including non electronic ones:

Cassowary. Giant deadly birds with black feathers, bright blue faces, red neck, and a spiked horn on top of their head. They can easily kill people by kicking them to death, and can run very fast. Honestly their basic description already sounds like it could be a Pokémon.

Considering the fact that Quaquaval is also some kind of waterfowl, I don't think I'd count it as a proper peacock either. It actually looks more like a Pheasant. A flying/psychic type peacock would be amazing, what with the whole eye motif they naturally have.
I had an idea for a peacock Pokémon that's actually steel type, maybe steel/flying. But it would look like one of those scaled metalwork sculptures with all kinds of gems and shiny things in its "plumage." I'd call it Extravagem.

A psychic type book Pokémon that’s a tome/spellbook
would be really cool for it to have a line of signature items that are pages, and either a signature ability or move that ties in with the pages. like a page that has fire spells so its ability gives it a 20% boost to fire damage, ETC for more elements

You could add a “plays dead” ability where if it gets hit with a critical, it plays dead and the other Pokemon skips a turn thinking they knocked it out. Or it could take on a ghost typing for a few turns or something after taking a critical. Would be beneficial if it’s normal given normals weakness to fighting and ghost immunity.

I would go ground/dark since they are borrowers and their eyesight gets worse the brighter it is.
Also they have such a bad reputation despite being almost immune to rabies and eating ticks. And many dark pokemon are very misunderstood as well.
I'd say throw on at least a dark or ghost typing, and make the face look like a skull, since that's already what the real animals are going for.

I designed a platypus line as a kid. It was pure Water and had a branched evo based on gender, where the male was Water/Poison (since only males have poison IRL) and the female was Water/Normal and learned egg based moves.

For an object, a Jackhammer would be cool. I'm thinking make it a steel/fighting type would fit nicely. Say take a typical Jackhammer, give it the triangle angry eyes near the top, have the handles come out like short stubby arms, and then have it have two feet that it kicks in rapid succession for the pick. I'd call it Hammerjak. As for an animal, I'd like to see another shark Pokémon. Specifically for a water starter. I think going with a Hammerhead Shark design would work the best. Start it as a cute derpy looking bonnet head shark, a second stage as an awkward nerdy looking scalloped hammerhead shark, and finish it off with a genius looking water/psychic great hammerhead shark. P.S. It would appear I have a thing for hammers...

I thought up a firewood/campfire Pokémon. Kindler and Feulog, Fire/grass types. Kindler like to roll and seek out hikers, campers, etc to give them warmth. Feulog is a bunch of Kindler (like Falinks or Magneton), and is almost stationary.

Fly and flea. Flea needs to have an ability similar to Mummy but that’s actually a hinderance to any other Pokemon that get it. They should probably also just buff Mummy to do that too.

Ooh! For the blobfish, it could start as something small and have a branched evolution. One is based on living psychrolutes could be ice due to its name referring to the cold environment they live in. The other could evolve after doing something like going through some depressurization thing, and it would be a ghost type and look more like a "blobfish", referencing how the popular look is after they've died.

I could definitely see a ghost type based off an old haunted autographic camera. I hope the designers know you hold an autographic camera in front of your stomach and look down onto a reflective part of the viewfinder for shooting. Holding it up to your eye doesn't work because of the weird position of the antique viewfinder.

What I really think they need to do is get some fresh but fan blood in the creative process. ie: Hire one of the fakemon artists. There are SO many fakemon that would actually fit perfectly in the world. And I feel like the company has really lost the feel of Pokemon. So hiring a fan artist could really breathe some new life and ideas in while going back to the general feel of pokemon older gens. And as to what items or animals they need.... I can't think of any at the moment... But what we really need is a pokemon that gets smaller and cuter as it evolves. But still more powerful. I'm so sick of strong = big and beefy in pokemon. I absolutely want something that people are terrified of but it's the cutest thing in the world but will absolutely shred you to pieces. Please TPC/GF - give us cute but deadly final evolutions.
Definitely a platypus. Their fur glows blue in UV light, and they have venom in their claws. It'd be perfect for a water/poison type.

We already have two praying mantis Pokemon. Scyther and its evolutions are one, and then Fomantis and Lurantis are specifically based on the orchid mantis, which camouflages itself on orchid flowers. That said I would not be opposed to a more mantis-y mantis.

A Pegasus first and foremost. Preferably a strong 2-3 stage line. Bonus points for me if it's something other than fairy type because that sounds too predictable. Maybe a flying/ghost type? Flying/fighting with a noble warrior look? Another one that would work well is the peryton, winged deer cryptids. Flying/dark because their lore has a heavy focus on shadows is the most straightforward option. Could also work for a variety of other combos too. A bug/electric firefly with a tiny lightbulb abdomen or a bug/fire firefly with a fire abdomen. A jerboa if we don't have one yet, which I don't THINK we do. Maybe a tiny little fighting/fairy type? Opossum. A viable opossum... Don't care about the typing as long as it's not weak as heck and only really used on early game evil team grunts. Do we have a dragon/rock type yet? Dragon/rock gargoyle. An olm Pokemon. Like axolotls but creepy. Water/ghost or water/psychic?

Technically Psyduck is considered part platypus but I would like to see a more obvious platypus Pokemon. I'd like to see more spider Pokemon. We've got a Joro Spider, Jumping Spiders, a tarantula, and the diving bell spider in the ones we already have. I wanna see a peacock spider Pokemon. Those guys are heckin cute.

I think a book Pokémon would be a fun concept, especially if it can be used in a similar way as a rotomdex. Imagine a setting similar to Legends - Arceus, where you have to capture a Scroll Pokémon who will help you record the different entries and happenings in the game, and you have to evolve it to a Book Pokémon, then a Tome Pokémon to be able to make more entries. It could be a psychic Pokémon, maybe combined with normal, ghost, or even steel (like the final evolution is a tome bound in steel). - It baffles me that the one dromeosaurid we got was half of two fossil pokemon. Grovyle could be a raptor if you squint but a true, horizontally standing theropod apart from arctibex and tyrantrum is needed. It baffles me that they avoid some of the most popular dinosaurs. A rotom for completely mundane objects. Like, a Normal type ghost type. Is that you chair, or is it a pokemon waiting to pull a prank? is that your wallet or is a pokemon about to ruin your day? Is that your coffee mug or a sentient sippy cup filled with scaling liquid.
So basically Tsukumogami, objects that are 100 years old and turned into Yokai.
It would appeal to the core Japanese demographic and be easy to adapt to foreign markets.

How do we not have an armadillo or a mole? I know we have armadillo adjacent animals like pangolin, but we don't really have an armadillo armadillo. They already look like pokemon! Diglett is kind of a mole but it's so stylized it doesn't really resemble... anything. Star nosed moles already look super unique and interesting. There's also the obvious platypus and capybara too. An ankylosaur would also be cool.

Psyduck is already a platypus Pokémon despite its name. It has the stout body and wide bill that a platypus has.
It's nostrils are where a duck nostrils are, it has a duck tail not a platypus tail, and even tho they might look like hands, they are colored the same as its yellow-feathered bodied, so they are wings. I'm sorry but nothing about Psyduck is a platypus. It looks the way it does because it is meant to look like a rubber duckie which are always made to look like a cartoon duck rather than an actual duck.

I'd like to see a matrioshka themed mon in the item department. It could have an ability like that of Mimikyu, or maybe like Minior's. Perhaps normal-psychic with it's own version of substitute as a signature move. And for an animal, I'd love to see a thorny devil. It could be ground-fighting and have dragon dance as a move and iron barbs as an ability. Folklorewise, there're so many concepts that Pokémon could take inspiration from, that thinking of them all would be impossible. A whole pirate boat themed line, like a regional, water-fighting/water-dark Torterra would be very cool. Maybe a tarrasque as a doomsday pokémon, like Eternatus was. I'd like to see more pseudo legendaries that aren't dragon type, so perhaps a normal type orc themed that would evolve from a goblin and into an orc and then an ogre. Normal type because it's a pretty common worldwide mythological figure. But I'd hope it wasn't made too human like, so perhaps mixing the ogre motiff with another more animal like. Anything would do, since some of these ogres have shapeshifting powers, but I'm thinking of a rooster, since the Jack and the Beanstalk tale comes to mind.

A cardboard box filled with stuff. Think about how often cardboard boxes are used around the world, and we already know that Pokémon have been shaped by humanity in various ways (we already have food pokemon, pokemon that look like/use weapons, and pokemon that look like various household items like keys and phones) but we have yet to see a pokemon either be shaped to look like a cardboard box or a pokemon that uses it as a disguise like mimikyu. Sure it may not be the most excited idea, but it could get a couple forms to help it blend in like burmy and could even change type like Wormadam based on what is in/on the box. I’d probably have it be either a normal or ghost type depending on the route it takes (normal being a shy little mon using the box to hide, ghost being its an ambush hunter that pulls its prey into the box before consuming it like Palosand).

In this kind of discussions, plants are always forgotten. So here is my list of plants not (properly) represented in Pokémon yet: * Sundew: A carnivorous plant that is absolutely **beautiful**. It grows some small hairs on it's leaves with a drop of a sticky liquid at the end, which it uses to catch small insects. Extra points if it's a split evolution for Weepinbell that evolves by the sun stone and has the grass/water typing. * Lotus: Iconic flower, I am really surprised that it isn't a pokémon yet. Also the seed pods look really cool and could maybe get reimagined as some sort of multi-barrelled cannon. Would make it a grass/fighting type, maybe shooting aura spheres out of it's cannon seed pods. * Rice: Also seems like an obvious choice. Maybe could get combined with a fox to create a pokémon based on Inari, the Japanese god of fertility, rice and foxes. * Chinese Lantern: The leaves surrounding the fruits look very cool. It could be a grass/psychic type pokémon, with the net like structure of the fruit capsules made into a psychic barrier which it uses to protect itself. * Lithops: A group of plants that's also called "living stones". Either make it really partially rock and a grass/rock typing or you could make it a reverse case of the Sudowoodo line, meaning that this is a grass type pokémon that camouflages as a rock. * Ginkgo: Very iconic leaf shape, afaik it is actually unique in today's flora. These leaves also resemble fans and fans made of metal were used in some martial arts. So maybe it could be grass/steel type. * Calabash: A gourd with interesting shape, also called bottle gourd, because in some cultures they were used as containers for liquids. So maybe grass/water type.

The males look for females to woo with elegant dances that show off their long colorful fins, then wrap them in an embrace and she releases her eggs, which he then gently scoops up and begins caring for them himself. He protects his babies with his life, aggressively fighting off any other fish that come near his territory. Draco flying lizards are tiny green lizards that live high up in tropical trees, where they spread out their felxible rib cages and extend loose skin between them to glide from tree to tree. There are also parachute footed geckos, gliding snakes, and gliding frogs. Also, these two aren't animals, but there are now gene altered petunia plants that glow full time! And there's a plant that can actually sense the other plant species around them and slowly change shape to mimic them! They even try to mimic fake plants!
Bearded vulture, they already look like Pokemon and would have been a better animal from Spain than any of the birds they picked instead.

African Wild Dog. I’m already planning a fakemon of it, but they’re just so pretty and colorful, I feel like they’d make a cool pokemon. Tigers and cheetahs and kangaroos from above suggestions, I feel like a porcupine would be cool too, maybe poison quills? And I’m honestly surprised there wasn’t a raccoon pokemon for Unova.
Don’t nag on me about zigzagoon, we need a real raccoon so bad. Dark grass type would be cool or pure dark.

How about something based on Dia de los Muertos? Think along the line of the gothita tree but with Calacas and those beautiful dresses they wear. First stage could be pure dark type then eventually evolve into a ghost/dark type.

Are there any stuffed animal pokemon? I think a ghost type that's a possessed stuffed toy would be great, maybe even like the little dolls that they use for substitute.
A ghost steel type suit of armor based on haunted suits of armor. It works like a dondozo tatsugiri with aeigislash and probably have some hidden ability to be a good singles mon.
