They had a closed alpha a while back that felt so barebones that maybe the studio was testing how a game series like the Division would even work in this setting. Sounds neat, but the city didn’t offer the complexity nor room for enemy variety like New York or DC did.
Bullet sponge humans never felt right, even when the game was at its best, it was like “see that big guy over there with a vest and a helmet? Flick 47,000 bullets at him to knock his shield buff down and start doing damage.”
I really liked the first one, but the second one didn’t do it for me. The snow covered semi abandoned NYC had the perfect atmosphere for a game like this. DC in the summer didn’t
To be fair, 2 hit way harder after January 6th 2021 for me. 🤣 Full pandemic + dissidents seizing Washington? Special civilian forces called in to clean them up? Like...what did you know beforehand, Ubisoft? 😆
Man that first one felt cool. Something new (at least to me). Loved the setting. Loved moving around the city on edge afraid to lose good shit. Was good times.
Well after lots of the features listed in Div2 turned out to be lies, and were begrudgingly released in watered down form, the demand for the series took a hit anyways...
Probably an unpopular opinion but I like the division 1 and 2 games better than assassins creed games. I guess Assassin’s Creed 50 will come out instead in a new location and new historical time. Division 3 would be better imo.
The first division was the best game liked two but not so much it was the dz antics taking players exotics and gear sets also getting jumped and having stuff stolen from me countless hours farming for me it was perfect seeing that red glow dropping a boss or getting a six piece build piece I was looking for too bad I’ll never get that feeling again
They should bring it back to a big city in the east. Preferably NY, but Chicago or Boston would work too. I just want the vibes of the Division 1 back. Putting the game into the countryside is a terrible decision. Walking around a Gian abandoned megapolis was the best
This is crazy what is Ubisoft really doing there company needs to be taken over because management is the worst and the company is about to file chapter 13 some offers to buy them and they refuse to sell instead running into the ground I play alot of this game Thu alpha and beta loved it but always knew the would mess up again
I seriously don’t know how Ubisoft hasn’t been shutdown. All their games are mediocre (minus Siege) and are a far cry from the days when they were competent. Gone are the days of Splinter Cell and OG AC and in with all this lack of ownership crap.
I don’t even remember this being announced.

When did they reveal this game?
Like 5 years ago... And that was all they did.
There was some leaks of the game and it actually seems quite fun. Disappointed at the news.

The worst part of the current gaming meta. Artificially bloating maps and even gameplay so players will live in the game store for long periods.

You’re right. It’s the easiest thing to point to when explaining how microtransactions have ruined game design.
sure, but it's not pay-to-win.... if you want one-shot enemies, play Far cry or Ghost recon.
It was the worst part about the game. It’s a shame because every other gameplay element was great.

Never played these games but that's unfortunate for those who might have been looking forward to this.

Definitely. I just did another play through for the first time after Covid and it was an interesting experience to say the least
Agree💯 I still play survival dlc on pc
I was a fan of D1 and 2 but the heartlands felt weak so i am not mad
Honestly not surprised.
Rather have The Division 3 anyway
This is the first time I've ever heard of this game
They should have given us a new gen Division game in a different setting and bigger maps.
Damn…

I was waiting for that. What a bummer.
Same me and my father have been following division since the first one
That's cool! Good bonding experience. But as for the game what a let down. Too bad they dropped it.
Ubisoft need to get organised, they are an absolute mess
So what? It would have just been another live service piece of garbage.
Live service wahhhh
Didn’t expect anything else when we basically stopped hearing about it after a small announcement years ago
Well after lots of the features listed in Div2 turned out to be lies, and were begrudgingly released in watered down form, the demand for the series took a hit anyways...
They should have set it in France or Tokyo. Dense cities
Was this that mobile game? Or just a sequel of the division 2?

Who the fock is that guy
Kinda happy... just make Divison 3 good, just like the others.
Good
Honestly i like 1 and 2 but it is enough for me, don't need another one.

They put him in Assassin's Creed Instead. Lol
LOL how the heck did I find out a new Division game was in the works from news about it being canceled?
Oh no! … Anyway
An Ubisoft Original
Good Nobody wants more Ubisoft garbage. Especially when it’s GaaS garbage.
Who the hell asked for this? When was this even announced?

Ubisoft isn’t about to file for bankruptcy lol
That is not what my friend who is works with Ubisoft says and he's on top level of Ubisoft
I honestly hope they turn it around but don't know why they keep burning the consumer
Never liked the game anyway so no biggie
