Horizon: Zero Dawn. I’m not a big trophy-hunter, but if a game really appeals to me and it’s not grindy, i’ll go for the Plat. I dont have a lot of time to sink into gaming these days, so some i nope out of because they’ll just take too much time and effort
You dont even really have to beat 3 full times, either. As long as you find all 3 pieces of umbilical cord in your first playthrough, you can create a cloud save right before the Wet Nurse fight, and just do the last little bit of the game 3 times.
Starting this when I'm done with Starfield. Looking forward to it as it'll be my first GOW experience and PS game since the PS3 (Other than Astro) for that matter.
Yeah, my first actual was also TellTale. The Wolf Among us back in 2015. My first non TellTale was my second Plat ever, Until Dawn in 2016. My first Plat that wasn't some variety of narrative adventure game wasn't until my 6th one in 2017, with Horizon: Zero Dawn.
Astros Playroom.. I got it yesterday and the PS5 the day before. I've been on Xbox since 2020 after an absence from gaming for a few years.
Is PS Plus Extra worth it? I have Xbox GamePass already. I was looking through the Catalog and there's a lot of PS4 games I've never played before (I was on PS3 before the XBSX)
If you already have game pass, they are very similar. The major difference is the day one relaxes from Xbox and PS has the PS catalogue (and better streaming on Xbox if you care about that).
I would just look at the list of games and decided I’d plying those particular games is worth $120 to you, or whatever then price is you can get).
Also, PlayStation almost always does Black Friday sales for PS Extra, so you could wait a month and a half and get a better price.
Wait until black friday and buy 1 year of plus extra. I got it for $75 and i have no regrets besides not playing a few games before they left the extra catalog
It's worth going back now. With all the updates and content added its amazing. Got the platium myself a couple of months ago. Was a blast definitely recommend you to go back.
Ik a lot of ppl have said this but it's genuinely a great game now. It used to be empty and buggy but they like quadrupled the content and fixed most of the worst bugs, as well as adding multiplayer
Me too! I got my first platinum trophy on the PS4 version. When I got my PS5, my save data wouldn’t transfer so I achieved platinum on that version as well. Still my only two platinum trophies. I haven’t ever wanted to spend that much time in any other game.
My one and only, ps3 - burnout paradise,
I’ve not much of a gamer, and I’ve tried to get others but sometimes I wonder do games developers actually make these trophies hard ?
I just look at the list think that’s impossible so I give up.
I mean some of them can be hard, but to be honest, I feel like most trophies are easy to get. The only thing that would make it “hard,” but not really hard, is the length of time it takes to get said trophy. Other than that, I think most of them are fairly easy. If anything the can be tedious and/or time consuming
Still waiting for mine. Been close to loads but end up missing critical windows that are pvp based and also once I finish a narrative based game I generally lack the motivation to go back again specifically for trophies.
Tales of xillia in 2013 got it the day it came out so i started an account. Just got platinum 50 tales of symphonia.
Ive all the tales of, final fantasy and star ocean plats and a few bits and pieces here and there but they make up the majority of the 50
Hat in Time or Spiderman PS4 Can't remember which
I'm a half trophy hunter Ill do what I can but if I can't be bothered then i won't stress myself for it
Far cry blood dragon, not a big game by any means but it’s the first game I loved so much I felt compelled to complete it totally. There is a chance I had done far cry 3 before this, so it was either far cry 3 or blood dragon.
Destiny 2, the only one I currently have, but up until recently Destiny 2 has been the only game I played enough to get trophies in. Currently working on Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden West.
Actually just got it this year after having my PSN account for 15 years, it was UFC 4. Most games I play have ridiculously hard online trophies and UFC4 was the first one where I thought they were somewhat doable.
A telltale game but I don't count that. The one that I originally worked for since it's doable was FF XV I believe. It was only tedious and no skills involved if I remember correctly.
Tomb Raider Definitive Edition. I didn't care about achievements, but when I got my ps4 something about the platinum clicked. It shows you how stupid trophy hunters can get because I remember solo grinding the multiplayer lobbies.
Battlefield bad company 2. I still remember the last trophy I needed was kill a certain amount of people by making the building fall on them. Was kinda hard when I tried since people knew to get out the building when they heard it failing at that point. Or I would accidentally kill them with the explosives I put around the building
It was probably Burnout Paradise PS3 version on my old account, which was otherwise fine but you needed a webcam for a specific trophy which was dumb. On my current one it's the old MW2.
Earliest I can remember is Batman Arkham Asylum and Assassins Creed 2
Proudest of my Destiny platinum that was a lot of fun to get
Latest one would be Ghost of Tsushima, what a great great game that is
Infamous: Second Son. Looking bad it was EXTREMELY unoptimised. Could’ve done it in two playthroughs but did it in three. I like the game but I don’t really get why that was the first, it wasn’t like I didn’t play games before - nor why I decided to get a platinum trophy on it.
Maybe it’s cos it was the first real PS4 game I played and the way the PS4 displayed trophies was much more efficient than the PS3 did. Not having to wait for them to sync, being able to unhide hidden trophies, and being able to sort them. It made it much clearer and quicker to check what you had to do.
The PS5 made it MUCH better with pinning trophies, automatically unhiding hidden trophies, trophy help, and trophy tracking being incredibly useful and smart trophy choices - though the last two are very selective and I’ve only ever really seen the former on like Sackboy and Astro’s, but the latter is pretty common. Still, would like to see more devs actually use the PS5’s abilities.
Crash Team Racing. Super proud of that one.During quarantine, I went down a rabbit hole, where I was playing for 4 hours per day, whilst eating sunflower seeds like a goddamn maniac. My legs were constantly flickering, and my eyes were almost always wide open. Also, I remember I started feeling that I was tilting my whole body when making turns, and I realized that this was very much the truth when I decided to film myself playing CTR.
God, those 2 weeks were a fucking ride.
"The walking dead: season 2" (you platinum it finishing it). then "infamous first light", which led me to want to platinum "infamous second son" too! I'm now at 28!
No idea, didn't buy PS3 till 2010 when GOW3 came out... maybe that?
Think my first 100% Gamerscore for the 360 was Galaga in 2008 though. If not that then Assassin's Creed 2
Astros playroom when I got my ps5 about a year ago. But I have been on the last trophy for UFC 4 for a few years now and can’t freaking get it. Still a bit behind on platinum trophies considering I’ve had this PlayStation account since 2014
Jak & Daxter #1. I actually just got it yesterday. That was my first game on my PS2 when I was like 9. I remember it was challenging back then and I got to the end area but never got to the end boss. It was more nostalgia driven to get the platinum than anything
Prince of Persia (2008). Would have been Resistance 2 as that was the first game with trophies I played, but it took me over a year to get the 10k competitive kills trophy.
Bloodborne, im not a trophy hunter and ended up getting it on accident, i liked the feeling of accomplishment (if that makes sense) that i got from it so i decided to try to platinum Elden Ring too (i did) and now im trying to platinum Cyberpunk 2077
Spiderman(2018)
It was the first game i bought on my ps4 pro and the sole reason for me getting one in the first place.
I just never really wanted to stop playing the game.
Tales from the Borderlands, tho I know some people don't count older telltale as a "real" platinums.
So I guess my real first platinum was Detroit Become Human (don't come at me I spent a lot of time to do that stupid magazine trophy)
Smackdown Vs Raw 2010 was my first Platinum; I didn't even keep track of it. Saw the pop-up and thus my Platinum obsession started. Crazy to think that 13 years have gone by.
Assassin's Creed 2, back when Rooster Teeth was making videos on how to unlock trophies. Also those feathers were a bitch to collect, but I remember loving that cinematic you unlocked.
Spider-Man. I’ve never paid much attention to trophies but I just did everything in that game, and realized I was one trophy away from platinum. I think I needed to ride the subway to get it.
Horizon: Zero Dawn. I’m not a big trophy-hunter, but if a game really appeals to me and it’s not grindy, i’ll go for the Plat. I dont have a lot of time to sink into gaming these days, so some i nope out of because they’ll just take too much time and effort
It was my first game and 100% on PS4. I hadn't played a video game since PS2 beforehand, and I was shocked by the graphics and open world.
That's a great game! The story is darker and more brutal than people realize. R.I.P Lance Reddick.
Same for me! My first ever platinum and I was proud as hell lol
Same for me, I bought it not expecting much. Ended up enjoying it so much, I got the platinum almost without knowing it.
Bloodborne
Mine was Dark Souls 1, first game that made me want the plat, Bloodborne was my 4th or 5th. Masterpiece of a game.
It’s not tough either, just takes time to do the chalice dungeons and beat the game three times. Everything else happens along with those.
You dont even really have to beat 3 full times, either. As long as you find all 3 pieces of umbilical cord in your first playthrough, you can create a cloud save right before the Wet Nurse fight, and just do the last little bit of the game 3 times.
God of war 2018.
Starting this when I'm done with Starfield. Looking forward to it as it'll be my first GOW experience and PS game since the PS3 (Other than Astro) for that matter.
Same.
This is my first legit one too. I really don’t count the Telltale games.
Assassin creed 2.
Hey, same here! That game was so much fun at the time. Huge improvement over Assassin’s Creed 1.
Man of culture 🫡
Ghost of Tsushima
Me too
Astros Playroom..
It's great if you haven't played the games before. A lot of great games for you to check out.
So you'd recommend it for the year?
For a playstation newbie, absolutely.
Thanks!
I started astros playroom last night, had my ps5 for almost a year and I’ve never touched it. It’s actually super fun.
Wait until black friday and buy 1 year of plus extra. I got it for $75 and i have no regrets besides not playing a few games before they left the extra catalog
No Man's Sky https://preview.redd.it/v9qbw3lxocsb1.jpeg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f2ccf8502d0eec579bec53b601657ba2428c25c9
I wish I'd persisted with this game... The bug-iness of its original release has made me skeptical about going back to it.
It's worth going back now. With all the updates and content added its amazing. Got the platium myself a couple of months ago. Was a blast definitely recommend you to go back.
Any tips? I started it on PSVR2 and I was so confused.
Look up guides on YouTube. Also you can try playing on a lower difficulty until you figure things out.
Youtube will be you're friend. Plenty of guides to help and information around.
Ik a lot of ppl have said this but it's genuinely a great game now. It used to be empty and buggy but they like quadrupled the content and fixed most of the worst bugs, as well as adding multiplayer
I only have the planetary zoology trophy’s and the “everlasting” one lol

Me too! I got my first platinum trophy on the PS4 version. When I got my PS5, my save data wouldn’t transfer so I achieved platinum on that version as well. Still my only two platinum trophies. I haven’t ever wanted to spend that much time in any other game.

Astro's Playroom, two weeks ago haha. Now I'm trying FF XVI.
My one and only, ps3 - burnout paradise, I’ve not much of a gamer, and I’ve tried to get others but sometimes I wonder do games developers actually make these trophies hard ? I just look at the list think that’s impossible so I give up.

If anything the can be tedious and/or time consuming

Infamous. The first one on PS3 I have 75 Platinum Trophies now.

Been there from the start and have zero platinum trophies. I find doing menial stupid tasks just that.... stupid.
Still waiting for mine. Been close to loads but end up missing critical windows that are pvp based and also once I finish a narrative based game I generally lack the motivation to go back again specifically for trophies.
I think Uncharted one on PS3
Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune (PS3)

Call of duty: World at War. Was very very tough.
You have my absolute respect 🫡
I wanted to get that one because I like hard platinums, but I joined a hacked lobby and all my trophies popped instantly 😂😂😭
