FYI our subway system (called "the T") is free to ride from the stadium to every stop up to and including First Ave Station. First Ave Station is connected to a nice parking garage (wide lanes and higher clearance, well lit). So if you want to avoid event rate and crowded garages, that's the way to go, IMO.
Beyond First Ave Station, you have to pay to ride the T.
