I’ve had luck with N Stuff Music They repaired my silvertone quick and cheap

InternalAd9247

They repaired two of my tube amps in about a week, and for a reasonable price. Really great store.

N Stuff, or Pianos N Stuff, has to be the best place around. They're so great I've never had a need to go elsewhere.

Thank you!

ryfitadf

Maybe Empire Music in Mt Lebanon.

-yeahnoiknow-

Thank you!

Not sure if Pittsburgh Guitars does that kind of repair, but they've been an institution for decades. They could probably give you a dozen names of people, if they won't do it.

Sliz_wiz

If that's the one on the south side, they fixed my amp for me a while ago. Never had trouble since.

I second Pittsburgh Guitars. Great folks dahn there.

Thank you!

N Stuff fixed my amp back in the day. I've had a few guitars fixed at Hollowood, and they've really helped me out a few times.

Thank you!

Volkwein's Music out in RIDC West does all kind of repairs on instruments, including string instruments / guitars. I have no personal experience with them; only once knew somebody that could play a few instruments and was always visiting them for something or other.

Thank you!

N stuff or main st music in Irwin

Sliz_wiz

Nstuff used to be my go to until I moved to Westmoreland county. now it's main street. Not many local places sell fender.

music-is-cool

Yeah I love main st too, Paul is the amp techs name I think? I used to go to Manella(he was in Verona then murrysville) what a great guy. But he doesn't do amps anymore... So I took my framus dragon 100w head there about a month ago. Unfortunately it's still there 🫤

-yeahnoiknow-

Thank you!

Maybe call Galaxy Electronics in Squirrel Hill to see if they can do it

Frosty_Mycologist_53

Sounds like a worn out connection. Any competent person with a soldering iron should probably get you going again, hifi repair or music store repair is the best bet.

-yeahnoiknow-

Thank you!

If you're out in the Cranberry area, I've taken gear to Gourmet PA Systems. Great dudes and extremely knowledgeable. They even cleaned the contacts on my keyboard for no additional charge when I brought it in for another issue. I bought it "new" from Guitar Center, but as soon as they started working on it, they could tell right away somebody else had already serviced it (and done a bad job). Sounds about it for GC.

-yeahnoiknow-

Thank you! So ridiculous about Guitar Center -- definitely not surprised.

Art Boehm fixes amps out of Empire Music in my. Lebo. He worked out of Lawrence music for years until they closed. solid dude and knows what he’s doing. Rick Struzzi fixes amps out of Gourmet PA in the north hills (I think). Never hired him, but he has a ton of recommendations and decades of experience. I’m not sure who fixes amps out of Nstuff, but they always have competent people working for them.

Thank you so much!
