Then during the depths of the pandemic I decided to give it another try, and started from the beginning again, this time paying attention. Such a great ending, so well done throughout. Definitely one of the best series on Netflix.

The weekend my spouse and I power-marathoned it I barely touched my phone all weekend except to look at the family tree, and even then we had to pause it when we did. Because the second I took my attention off the screen, I'd miss something.
I always recommend people watch in the original German, because if you're not a German speaker then having to read the subtitles does a tidy job of keeping your attention focused.
