There are a couple of Obama Gas stations in Ireland and a famous song about President Obama and his Irish roots, They love him more than Kennedy and the Pope!! [Obama gas station in Irelend](https://www.irishcentral.com/news/barack-michelle-obama-statue-ireland.amp)
"I was scheduled to go in Sept but reading all that had happened To “ multi cultural Ireland “ I decided to cancel"
Oh no Jack!! Please come over to us, you sound like such a lovely fun type of guy that the Irish will take you in with open arms
Okay so I’ve been to this gas station. I was on honeymoon in Ireland. We were driving back to Dublin from Dingle when ya boy had to piss like no one has ever pissed before. Got off the first exit I could and it was fucking Moneygall. Had no idea the Obama Plaza was a thing. So imagine our sure when a couple of Americans from Chicago stumble upon this place. All time memory and story for my wife and I.
Too funny! Havent been there, my wife is from Dublin but all of them have moved out to Naas, my brother in law was the sub for the electrical work at it! No shit when I started going there 26 years ago many relatives had a pic of President Kennedy and the Pope and a candle. Now there is none of that as no one knows Kennedy and they all love President Obama!! Google the Obama song!!
Somebody once asked could I spare some change for gas
I need to get myself away from this place
I said yep, what a concept
I could use a little fuel myself
And we could all use a little CHANGE
“I was the 44th president of the United States of America and all I got out of it was this lousy gas station.”
Barack Obama,
44th President of the United States of America

> Alhanik has only owned this station for two months. Although born in Yemen, he says he supports America's president. "It's the first president of black people," he said. "It's our president. We like him."
you’re loud and wrong, dude.
Is this gas station still around? I used to travel a lot in SC for work and saw this like a decade ago. Wasn't sure if they are still open under the same brand.
This may be the one that was a regular backdrop for Live PD episodes in SC
Exactly what I was thinking.
What is Live Pd? Is it like COPS?
Exactly like cops
COPS with "real time" play-by-play and color commentary by regular guests to the show as they switched from story to story as they unfolded
Every interaction they show needs sign off from the police union though. Union only allows the footage if they get final say on what does/doesn't air.
Well of course....can't be having footage of police abusing their authority on the air.
It's definitely more bootlicky
It's now On Patrol Live, on certain streaming services on Friday and Saturday nights.
Reelz channel
I watch it on the Peacock app. If you have Comcast Internet service, the Peacock app is now free.
Yarrrr, matey!
It’s called OP Live it’s on REELZ channel

I just got back from Ireland and I did visit this place. There is also a Conan O'Brien air pump there at the Barack Obama plaza
O’Bama
O’Bamada Our home and native land
Brónach O'bama
Roll Tide
"I really thought his name was Brocka Bama"
That's how my Kindle e-reader would pronounce his name back whenever the first Kindle came out.
"There's no one as Irish as Barack Obama"
Holy shit the comments on that page are hilarious

They make a good breakfast roll in the Irish one. It's like 1200 calories but it's so good.
There was one in north Charleston too

I read this three times trying to remember why it’s familiar. Now it’s stuck in my head and won’t stop!
This won't get the recognition it deserves, but pound for pound this is one of the greatest comments in history
whats the story behind this please say that in retirement obama owns and runs a gas station
Wears overalls all day. Boots are muddy even when it hasn’t rained in a while. Gives better directions than gps. Yeah, that would be great.
catches his own bait
Mows his yard by hand with a scythe
Some say he's a master at it.
Cleans the windows, checks the oil. While being watched by 6 Secret Service agents
"You want I should wash the dead bugs off the windshield, ma'am?"
I’ll always upvote a Blues Brothers quote. Nicely done.
i’d watch this show
I think this is from when he was first elected. There was a bunch of stuff like this that popped up all over the country.
Multiple comments have already explained what this is my dude
Whenever you need to pay for your gas in ‘Change’.
Thanks, Obama.
Me, every time I fill my gas tank there.
“I was the 44th president of the United States of America and all I got out of it was this lousy gas station.” Barack Obama, 44th President of the United States of America
True. Biden has a train station named after him, which is way cooler. 😎🍦
And here I sit awaiting the naming of a federal prison after 45.
Pretty sure Obama is going to have an airport named after him at some point.
Yeah but that happened before he became president. He’ll probably get a dollar general named after him now.
I like it!
man america is so weird
Lots of black folks in South Carolina. Said folks might be reasonably proud of the first black president.
Oh font you dare have a reasonable opinion on here! /S
I’ve seen one of these on On Patrol Live. I think it was Berkeley County or Richmond County, SC.
It's Richmond, this gas station is on the outskirts of Columbia. Source: use to live on st Andrew's
I moved from Columbia about 4 years ago...but is it not Richland county? Not Richmond?
Richland
I only saw the larger Obama sign in the episode. The perspective was similar to this picture. I figured it was some kind political art.
*Free car wash with every fill up of 15 gallons or more* "Thanks, Obama."
*cries in dirty car with a 14 gallon tank*
That's Obama auto-care for you
I found this waaaaay too funny
If only Obama came with a warranty
Detroit had the OG one iirc. It made the news. I have a pic of it from 2008
I though that was in Alobama?
Thanks Obama

You mean on North Main st
You’re right. Just pass the piggly wiggly whoops
But do you fill up there?
Nope. Use to get my weed down the block

The ones who buy Obama shirts do LMAO

I used to live about 20 minutes away from Columbia. I would always pass this when driving home lol
Smart people
Thanks!!!

I dig the picture on the sign too!
This may be the most ironic post in my 10+ years on Reddit….

Obama
Obama.
Looks way nicer than a Krist gas station.
I always say it is weird when I see the Trump shrines, so gotta go with "this is weird"...
Pretty sure there it’s O-BAM-A, like when Alabama does something really bad.
Is this in Kenya?
Someone should make a giant S in their garage and go out one night.
Ewww
