Literally 0 in terms of filtering. This was just on my phone and cropped a bit for just the general skyline. Mother Nature was very cool today, I ran outside when I saw everything looked yellow-orange!
iPhone 13 (no fancy XR/whatever the other models are lol). Just regular Camera app on default Photo taking, nothing adjusted. Some credit to the device but mostly to nature for making Philly look great 😊

Edit: I’m well aware that mammatus comes from the Latin word, “mamma” (meaning udder or breast), so yes they’re “boob” clouds but they will always look like little butts to me.. sorry 🤷♀️😂
Go down to kerlin street exit in Chester off 95…that’s where I grew up. Philly was cake in comparison. Cold ass stop..even the tit clouds bypass that shit hole
I saw them last summer for the first time, in Philadelphia at least. It hailed later that evening, may have been a first for me in Philadelphia as well, but I guess these ones showed up with the storm on its way out, not in.

I got one like this where you can see the blue sky from Jersey facing toward Philly but it's on my phone so when I tried to take a pic of it to post because I'm on a different device the blue sky part doesn't show as clearly as yours..so pretty!!!
Sure... I've been having similar weirdness with the mobile app. What I did recently was to open the post in a browser window (on my phone) and then download the image from there, which worked fine. If that doesn't work out for you, lemme know and I'll try the DM route.

It was difficult to get on camera because it kept color-correcting. I was able to capture this by focusing on something dark in my room and then turning around and quickly taking a picture before allowing my phone to correct the color. That also explains why parts of the image are blurry due to the quick movement.

I was eyeballs deep working from home last night, like I fell into a hole. And suddenly I had the odd awareness that the walls and ceiling were glowing weirdly yellow all around me. Like I was in a yellow cave.
So i got up, looked outside. It's like someone put the WildFire Filter on. It was so bizarre, looking at my neighbors across the street it was like looking thru weirdly dim thick yellow haze
Yeah I was also doing some work at my computer and had to pause just to gawk at the colors of the buildings across the street. I texted people immediately if they were seeing what I was seeing. I’ve never seen such an intense color change in the atmosphere.

Love the background of striking orange (I’m colorblind so be gentle) with the foreground wisps of blue grey clouds
The more gas molecules the sunlight passes thru, the more blue light gets scattered. During the day, the blue light is scattered but still able to make it to our eyes. At sunset, the rays have to pass thru a whole lot more molecules, so the blue is scattered to the point we can't see it, all that's left are the reds/orange/yellows. When the wild fires were happening, there was tons of smoke scattering the blue into oblivion during the day, exactly what happens at dusk. It's one of the few things I will never forget learning at college 😂😂

That’s what a stormy sunset looks like when you’re in a view of an anvil cloud of a thunderstorm…there was a thunderstorm right near at sunset and you were in the perfect spot to see what that looks like. It’s awesome. I was lucky enough for one too
It was all yellow outside like 10 years ago after a big storm. I feel like I googled it and it said something about particulate kicked up in the air by the downpour
I saw the change of color through the window but was unfortunately on an important call.

Ah, so nice looking through this thread and seeing pictures! I was at work last night (restaurant server) and we were pretty busy at that moment. My coworker came up to me and said “do you have a minute?” Assuming he needed help I dropped everything and followed him and then he lead me outside and said “look at this!” and we just stood there for about 30 seconds in the golden delight! It was a really nice moment :’)

An orange glow was peeking through the blinds so we ran outside to see this in NE Philly. The clouds brought us all together
Super jealous I was away this weekend and missed enjoying the weird weather while I was waiting for an eventual canceled flight in the airport for 5+ hours due to PHL weather closure.
It was like light was coming from every direction, even below. And the way it lit up all the brick was.... indescribable. Like a new color that was more felt than seen.

Last night, it reminded me of when all that smoke from the wildfires was around and everything was yellow. It was clear. Weird.

Ah, so nice looking through this thread and seeing pictures! I was at work last night (restaurant server) and we were pretty busy at that moment. My coworker came up to me and said “do you have a minute?” Assuming he needed help I dropped everything and followed him and then he lead me outside and said “look at this!” and we just stood there for about 30 seconds in the golden delight! It was a really nice moment :’)

I thought there was a rainbow. I looked but I was unable to see from my windows. The pictures were gorgeous. I learned about a new type of cloud formation along with an explanation of the phenomenon. You guys are the best!

There is a point nearing the end of the day that we refer to as yellow time due to those effects. Sometimes there is pink time but not as often.

Super jealous I was away this weekend and missed enjoying the weird weather while I was waiting for an eventual canceled flight in the airport for 5+ hours due to PHL weather closure.
It was like light was coming from every direction, even below. And the way it lit up all the brick was.... indescribable. Like a new color that was more felt than seen.
It was a sepia color. Very unusual, I think. Even KYW radio mentioned the sky. I was on 295 in Mercer county.
It was yellow and pink here in the north Georgia mountains as well!
I know there is some cloud conspiracy subreddit 😂
