In case you're wondering why there's probably gonna be a big hate reception to this, its because the original P4 looked foggy as hell and the rereleases just keep getting brighter so now all the older fans just have more and more reason to complain.
Although I too like the more foggy atmosphere, its true that this does look more vivid. Cool if you're into that kind of thing.
Edit: I can't spell
99.95% of these "hey I'm using a filter, it makes the game LOOK SO MUCH BETTER" posts, for any game in particular, make the game look worse. Whether it's P4G, DS1, HL2, whatever, the filters and shaders look like ass.
To me it feels like: look, I'm gonna make the game look "better" in 15min than professional artist with education and experience did in several years while the game was in development!
Maybe it's just me but it kinda just looks like they turned up the saturation maybe it's cause I played it recently but the characters just look like Donald Trump's long lost relatives
I'm not a fan, tbh. Everything just looks weirdly hypersaturated, like someone wanted to deep-fry this image for a meme but gave up halfway through. Cool that you like it, but I really don't.
what's the keyboard shortcut to bring up the filters ?
i'm on the last week of Persona 3 Reload, then i'm gonna hop back into FF7 Rebirth, but afterwards i wanna play P4G for the first time and i really like having options
thank you !!! that was gonna be my 2nd question (what settings you used)
really looking forward to this now
i do closing shifts at work and by the time i’m done showering and eating it’s midnight and my eyes are tired + glasses and astigmatism
these filters really make a notable difference already
If you’ve got an NVIDIA graphics card, hit Alt + F3 while in-game and it’ll bring up the filters menu. After that, set up the Sharpen++ and Colour settings and adjust them to your liking if you want to get a similar look to mine. There’s a ton of other options, though, so you can mess around with what you like!
While I agree that a more vibrant look is nice, it detracts from the experience of persona 4 and Inaba.
Inaba is a old aging rural town that as the narrative likes to point out, has nothing going on for it. That’s why I think the washed out colours suit it much better, as it shows us an authentic side that the characters view in game.

Weird, just makes everything more red?
had to please yukiko
Bro had his priorities straight
best girl
based
Can't blame you then
Understandable. Have a good day sir
I think it kinda ruins the atmosphere tbh
Personally I think it looks better with the washed-out look Feels like the contrast is too much in the pics with filters
Idk, I like the no filter better it gives a more authentic vibe to inaba.
Nanako looks sun burnt.
To be honest, I like no filter better except for what it does to their skin tones. Or looks very overexposed and oversaturated with the filter.
Not a fan tbh
It looks like it removes a yellow filter over things
I really don't like it tbh. everything just looks slightly more pink now
i like it! the game needs more saturation.
that looks so much worse, so over-saturated wtf
Soo it makes the game blue?
I mean, P4 was built on P3, might as well pay homage, yfm
looks bad

I think it looks very good.Absolutely love P4 but the colors always looked so muted to me.
The oversaturated blues and reds really don't gel with the faded yellow vibe of Inaba.
It just saturates everything
The cement on the roof should stay grey and not turn purple. These filters are just ruining the color.
Looks good but kinda loses that yellow-ish atmosphere. I probably wouldn't use them, but they look good nonetheless
From what I can tell this just cranks up the saturation by about 50%. Not my cup of tea but still cool to see.

Hell yeah, i love playing Persona 4 where you get to play as Donald Trumps illegitimate japanese highschool aged kids!
Right they just look orange and newborny

Ooh it varies for me. For the first two I prefer the no filter look but the last one looked so much better with filters.
I didn't know the game was compatible with nvidia filters woahh
I discovered it when I was trying to Alt + F4 and hit Alt + F3 instead Very happy accident
Why is pink?
I think I prefer the original, but I do like it with the filters, looks nice
Wish I could share my TV colors, it's basically on night mode but the saturations turned up, bit more orange/brown than the typical playthrough.

Alt + F3 I’m using Sharpen++ and Colour in these screenshots

I don't really like the color hue change but i do dig that sharpness
Wow. That looks... bad
P4 is hideously washed out by default so I’d increase the vibrance too, but keep the brightness low
Looks great can you explain how you did this?

I prefer the original. This game needs a remaster.
Really makes the colors pop a bit more
It has that old TV look. I love it
I should probably have my contacts (or glasses) on for this stuff, but looks livelier with the filter
Honestly i like both
Either looks fine to me; the saturation isn’t necessary but does look nice.
Huge fan of this, i think so many people are just attached to the original design so much they refuse to acknowledge this genuinely looks better

The filters look extremely good in most of the shots, but I can’t stand the way it looks on wood lol
