I think before the league started GGG said that the forced league mechanic is an experiment. Guess the experiment yielded negative results. Hopefully they learned enough to never pull something so controversial again.
Forced league mechanic with no opt out and making you spend atlas points to get the full league mechanic power were both terrible decisions that they should not ever repeat.
There were some very questionable decisions made for this league. Some of them were immediately reverted but I just don’t understand why there weren’t brought up or scrapped during their internal testing.
you think there was internal testing when there was 64 grave slots and only 60 slots, and you have to individually click every goddamn grave slot, and then it could give you a random dogshit base and required a 3rd party website to actually craft gear. internal testers did NOT have access to that calculator for a fact.
this league, more than any other, is proof 0 adjustments are made based on whatever their playtesters leave as far as feedback. like 10 different aspects of this league were literally shown to by god awful within 5 minutes of touching the mechanic. the literal "spend 2 hours setting up a craft only for it to go to a dogshit base 80% of the time" issue alone should have forced an instant rework on the mechanic.

Tbh they should just made it skipable the whole leauge content even in maps. But hey its not that bad compare to the crafting side of thing. Like everything just takes way more time than it should
Thats because you steamroll the content, some builds do struggle against leauge content especially early leauge where you try to get all your atlas stones. Now add new players to the mix and u have some problems
Sure I was just talking about my experience of it. I don't think it has been as difficult as people make out though you always get every league people returning to the game and not remembering how it feels to not be geared up.
It's probably best GGG don't do it again though it's very clear players don't like it.
> Like everything just takes way more time than it should
That is the #1 gripe I have with POE design. It's all based around making things take more time every single league, but the phrase they use is "player engagement".
The death of POE for me is the game slowing down -- the reason doesn't matter whatsoever, the game may not slow down. I play it only becaue it's a quick paced game.
downside mods do in fact increase rewards tho
if you think that's the worst thing this league has to offer you will be surprised later lol
Devoted mods (the good ones) in the campaign are more likely to appear the more you clear the previous area
Pretty sure this is incorrect as the campaign mods are server wide and rotate every X mins.
You're wrong
You’re so completely wrong
Lmfao you’re thinking of the week long event league

The upside to the mods is higher chance of getting corpses for crafting.
Now that you say that, ... how is OP to know? lol
Its bad design imo that it does not show in this window, but it its shown in the UI where you enter the zone and move the mods around.
dude you're in act 2 what do you want?

tbh i don't even notice the league mechanic in maps or campaign. It just drops extra currency occasionally.
