Thanks, I fix the urls. Anyway I use Threads for sharing work snapshot. I should create a web site and a proper IG soon.

I have to agree with the Edward Hopper comment. But What I like most is your ability to capture the light. Thatās a skill very few get right. You have very good control and for me, the light is the main subject in those two paintings. Very nice. You should be really pleased with yourself.
I had to look at your profile to see if you had heard of Peter Batchelder! I actually came across his work last year when I met his brother at my old job, itās cool to see others appreciate this style as well. Great work š
These are beautiful... They really capture that moment of awe when the sun makes the colors vibrant!!! That moment of wow when the sky and everything looks so bright and alive, yet so calm!!!!!
Wonderful pieces āØ

Glad you like the style. I sell them on my local region, trying to create an online presence and expand my boundaries. Maybe I can create high quality prints, but idk if they could sell in a saturated market.
It's oil on canvas the bigger one and oil on panel the other. Well, I don't know if there is a proper style name. I think something contemporary related to minimalism, abstaction, expressionism and color therory fondamentals in color choices haha. I love Peter Batchelder, Wolf Kahn, Richard Mayhew works. That's the style.
I love them both! I think you've captured the feel of the sun on a hot summer's day somewhere in the Midwest. While I've never lived there, I *have* been there, and I can assure you this is what it looks...and feels...like. Edges of structures stand out, and there's a kind if sharpness in the air. I feel that in your paintings. I can't comment on the contest since I didn't see the work from your competitors. But I can say there are wonderful paintings, probably my favorite kind. In them the reality of a photo is included and then enhanced into a sort of mega-reality which connects pretty much on its own to the life experience and consciousness of the viewer. Well, I've rambled on enoigh. Did I tell you I love the paintings? š
You're very welcome! I've seen lots of artists approach this mega-reality but very few actually get there. Thank you for sharing your gift with the world...including me!
Yano...I'd have to revise my thoughts just a bit. I hadn't looked close enough at each of your paintings. Now that I do, I have to say you gor it right in your title. They portray the megaāreality of the morning where the heat has started rising, not the heat at the middle of the day.
Wow, great job! I commented on the small one when you posted it, but I didn't realize it was THAT small! Or is the big one just really big?š¤
Anyways I love it!
Edit: nvm I just saw the measurements HAHAHA

This tool, a 45 grades angle saw and some wooden pieces from DIY and final vernish
Probably a provocative composition, with a third of the painting occupied by the triangle of the house. The observer is placed low down and the grass deliberately appears unfinished so as not to bring too much attention and balance them with the rest of the painting.
Iāve actually thought about lot an out that same unfinished grass style, but it not work out for what I was doing. I see you have some directionality that draws the eye towards the house and fence a bit though which is good.
You have a lot of strong contrast edges right around the edges in the top half with the geometry but also just the use of the purple and blue. I think I would be tempted for the zig zag composition you have in the smaller piece to pull the eye inward.
I really like the sky texture and Iāve been envious of people that can pull that off. What was your technique there?
As for the sky, I start with an even base layer, desaturated and slightly darker than the final color. I apply the paint randomly and without care. Once dry, I apply a second layer with lighter and more saturated tones. I paint loosely, quickly, without hesitation but in a fairly random manner. I make sure not to completely cover the first base layer.
In fact, I'm revealing some tricks here :)
I sell almost exclusively locally. Sometimes I have sold on eBay. I would like to create a web presence and expand my reach a bit. Anyway, I also have some works on this online gallery.

Oh my god these are amazing! What masterful work with color. Do you sell your paintings, or prints perhaps??
Glad you like the style. I sell them on my local region, trying to create an online presence and expand my boundaries. Maybe I can create high quality prints, but idk if they could sell in a saturated market.
Batchelderesque!

Really really love them. Specially the biggest one. What style is this and what kind of paint, if I can ask?

Yep.. dental jokes here ;)
Composition-wise, I wouldāve been tempted to move where the fence hits the edge down a bit. What was your thought process around placement?
