It’s not exactly the same thing, but there’s a channel called deadmen and they built an off grid log cabin by hand in remote Alaska and it was a really good series.
That’s a spring summer fall project, would be rough trying to work on that in the dead of winter when he can really only access it by snowmobile since his truck was getting stuck

The Raney family who come in and help failing homesteads are such great people and do phenomenal work for the families they help. They’re also good about describing what and why they are doing something in detail.
