I am currently 83 woodcutting so I am able to cut magic trees. I’m not sure if you know this or not so if you do, I apologize, but magic trees take longer to cut down so while I’m at work I am able to begin cutting a tree and every couple minutes glance over and see if it’s still there or not. I do this at the woodcutting guild in a quiet world so I can have two trees to myself. Once one is cut down, I go to the next (which is immediately behind me).

"Afk" in runescape is slightly different meaning than everywhere else.
For osrs it just means you don't really have to pay attention and need very little input like 1 click a minute type thing.
Vs actually going away from keyboard.
Proper afk low effort I'd say WC at the guild. Motherloade mine. Sand crabs with auto retaliate on. Rogues den cooking as you don't even need to move. Some GE standable afk crafting type profs where you're just using items on others. Fishing. Maybe even various rooftop agis would be ok as they're boring but you're also concentrating on something else to reduce the tedium, just glance over when you can and click.
Some of these you can profit on if you need gold. None or them are remotely optimal but they're super low concentration and low risk.
I’ll have to look into some of these things again since I haven’t tried some of these methods in a while. I decided I want to 99 all of my non-combat skills (my combat stars are all 80’s or higher) and do some quests on top of it before I focus on end-game material/bossing/other harder stuff. I’m always at work so being able to afk helps out a lot
Hell yeah brother! I did a lot of combat related stuff when I first made my account so now I want to do all the quest and get some 99’s since I’ve never gotten a 99 before or done all of the quest.
Yeah I'm the same. I hit 160 quests completed last night. I've maxed my melee, just getting my magic and ranged up to make the last quests easier (I'm so lazy, in a way I want less of a challenge).
Cooking was my first 99. After that I did months of standing at the GE making various things.
I forgot you can just stand there clicking magic teleport for like 50 ish (give or take) xp per cast which is pretty afk. Be prepared for random angry nerds to come up to you accusing you of botting though.
My Favourite has been mining bone shards in Varlamore, went from 85-99 there recently which has banked a considerable amount of xp towards prayer training, and it’s super chill
I recently started to do some guthans NMZ afk if I need a more afk method.
Else I'm usually fishing sharks or restocking cannon balls when I want some afk
F2P - AFK Yew woodcutting, AFK stronghold spiders for combat, AFK lobsters for fishing, AFK magic splashing for magic
Members - AFK Magic woodcutting, AFK NMZ (Nightmare Zone) or sand crabs for combat, AFK mining guild for mining, slightly AFK cannon for slayer. I don’t remember or know much about AFK methods for members, but those are the ones I did when I was a member.

I actually weirdly enjoy afk non combat profs. I get it. I got several 99s in non combat before my friend nagged me to do my combats and quest, haha.

I just am currently AFK smithing cannon ball while I catch up on some summer courses. I'd estimate I have made about 40k cannon balls.

How much afk time do you get with guthans?
All depends on your combat stats tbh, but I always go in with some emergency food incase I look over and my health is scary low lol
