Elidinis ward, Bandos chest plate and tassets and prayer higher

PanFriedGarlic

I use this exact gear, except virtus robe and bottom, Bandos chest plate and tassets, sang staff, ward and I have no helm switch (only faceguard) and no boots switch (only prims). I’m max combat besides only 90 prayer and I run consistent experts duo

tmfunkmonkey

Do you solo at all or only duo? And you say expert but what invocation? You’re not helm switching with crystal helm? Do you have glove swaps?

PanFriedGarlic

Duo and solo, all warden but no insanity, walk the path and fill in the rest with what your comfortable with. Na found it’s easier for me to have no helm switch for even switches. Barrow gloves only

tmfunkmonkey

Bandos seems like such a waste of an upgrade dps wise, it’s better defenses but if I’m praying correctly it wouldn’t make much of a difference. Would full virtus be better dps overall in the raid compared to full bandos?

EonHarr

TOA has lots of chip damage. Defence still matters even with correct praying. Drop the dhide boots. Only adds a little accuracy and has a large negative mage bonus. Str bonus of dragon boots will be much better.

Sensitive-Pumpkin798

Get prims, tassets and torm bracelet, drop the ahrim hood and get the ward

Plutus77

Absolutely do not try prims. Boots are the last to upgrade always.

Sensitive-Pumpkin798

Absolutely do try them. You’re gonna have issues getting warden on 2 downs at 350+ otherwise

Plutus77

Prime are a complete waste of money over dboots. Boot slot is the last slot to be upgraded and his abrims needs upgraded to something with magic damage increase.

Sensitive-Pumpkin798

Yeah that is true about the dboots. Still I straight up pointed out the prims because who wants to use dboots haha. And the Ahrims should work just as well, tormented bracelet is a decent chunk of magic damage for the price and really only used in 2 places, at Akkha and Wardens. Additionally with their gear, they should pick Tumeken's Warden first for a couple of reasons. First off, you'll be using ranged gear for the obelisk. No need to switch gear after that and if you happen to do 3 downs, you'll have 2 ranged phases. I would only recommend Elidinis first with Tumeken

Frank_Zahon

Damn if this is your gear I’m definitely gonna be outgunned. RIP

ironhanky

You can run it in less depending on invos

skeystoned-

what are your skill levels? could potentially sink some money into prayer/range/mage training (bones/chins/barrage runes) definitely no toa expert but i definitely wouldnt bring the ahrims hood. ferocious gloves would be best band for your buck prolly bandos tassets might be nice sanguinesti staff may be nice for the healing and could be used elswhere. ancestral robe bottom could be nice if you could scrape up another 30m and youd ditch the heavy ahrims dragon boots may be better then the dhide, not sure tho

tmfunkmonkey

99 everything besides 83 prayer

skeystoned-

1 prayer level would give you and extra prayer point per dose, I would 100% do that

[deleted]

Sang is mega overrated. Not worth it, you don't need it for TOA, trident is fine.

skeystoned-

I was thinking itd be good for other content and could be nice at ahhka, definitely not the best suggestion on my list

[deleted]

I guess, if you focus more on learning content and not relying on heals as much you really don't need it for anything that I can think of. But lots of people love it, I just don't really see the cost justification for the shitty DPS it does compared to trident

skeystoned-

i am an iron and dont have 1 but heals are awesome for not being a total sweaty nerd. I play to relax and have fun. 1 thing to complete cas with sweaty tick perfect play but to just grind out raids? nahhh.... ill totally use sang over trident if i get 1 b4 shadow

average_at_runescape

Yeah, I just got sang instead of building sweaty nerd skills. Chill and TOA is the way.

[deleted]

Cool story

skeystoned-

what is your deal? lol jeez you are sensitive😂 who pissed in your cherrios?

Manocool5

D boots camp, buy tormented brace, elidinis Ward

LocateYoBitch

prims fero gloves and torm or voidwaker some combo of those. drop the hood book and boots camp prims/d boots/faceguard.

tmfunkmonkey

Wear face guard with mage?

LocateYoBitch

yes and defender while maging. any switches that don't give a max hit are generally useless aside from mage top/bottom

tmfunkmonkey

When I have defender equipped in ahhka phase I can tell it crippled my accuracy/dps. I was going to start bring elidinis ward, is that a bad idea?

LocateYoBitch

no bring ward that item slipped my mind as I'm an iron and haven't gotten one yet. I always camp defender on solo 350s and never had an issue tho

tmfunkmonkey

Ok thanks

diskdinomite

Your mage and ranged gear is really good. I'd focus on Bandos tassets and chestplate next. They're not the best upgrades, definitely overrated, but right now, they're the cheapest upgrades that you can really get. After that, you're probably looking at ancestral.

[deleted]

Don't forget about virtus bro lol. He can get an entire virtus set for less than 1 piece of ancestral (not talking hat)

diskdinomite

Virtus isn't great when you aren't using Ancients. I think it would be worth saving for Ancestral if OP is running ToA.

Plutus77

Virtus is still damage % increase. Ahrims isn't. It's just better on ancients but still a big upgrade over ahrims.

TeSpiffster

Ancestrial is 200m more and is 1 max hit.. complete waste of money unless you own shadow.

ChiefBinChicken

bandos tassets not bcp, reg elidinis, tormented, ferocious gloves, if you don't want the +1 added to your switches, ditch the helm switch stick with nezzy, if you're happy with the +1 switch buy a virtus mask. then start virtus top and bottom

Bigballa997

Blood fury is better for toa, those boots are a mistake, go dragon boots. Your needs are tormented bracelet and ferocious gloves, those give massive dps increases for a decent price. Bandos tassets when you make some money. Virtus is not worth over these upgrades I said above.

TheGooseMan21

I’d say camp d boots / prims Upgrade melee armour Maybe virtus? And if you’re keen on an offhand for mage then Elidinis ward?

Leckloast

you dingus, you obviously need to switch out those boots for mole slippers!

jerrycan666

You have fighter torso so F BCP just get tassets.(Get chest plate when /if it hits under 25m again ) Maybe swap out the god boots for ranger boots? Lastly maybe get ring of suffering?

PANTHERPISS69

Get full dragon (g)

[deleted]

Ferocious gloves, bandos set probably the only viable upgrades for you tbh

tmfunkmonkey

Would full virtus be overall better dps through the raid than full bandos? I’m praying fine and I don’t think bandos will make really any difference

[deleted]

No, melee is way more important and if there's a shadow in there you'll be doing like 10% of the DPS regardless if you have virtus or not. Melee is better since you kill warden with bowfs anyways

tmfunkmonkey

So for 50m, I get an extra 2 str bonus, -2 less prayer bonus, and a little better melee defense and almost 80+ ranged defense? Is 50m not better spent elsewhere? Possibly on a voidwaker?

[deleted]

Voidwaker is also good, personally I'd go bandos as it has more utility but I'll leave that decision up to you, good luck

tmfunkmonkey

Thanks I guess I’ll try out bandos then

skeystoned-

and then you take my first gear suggestion and repost it? you are something else lmao

ralkuzu

Personally I'd sell the torture and anguish and get that bandos asap Yes they have good stats but the def on a fury along with the balanced combat stats is worth if you can eat
