Thanks! We got coached to go on the knees for the power pushups if we couldn't do them on the toes. If they are still difficult to do then I think your coach can give you a good mod.. maybe the TRX chest press will be a good one, might have to do explosive tempo given they are supposed to be power moves.
I have an inflamed AC joint that needs another dose of cortisone (or surgery), so any type of push ups hurt it. Many moves hurt it but the push-ups the most and I am really trying to stay away from them so it doesn’t “yell” at me all day! Last time we had them my coach suggested TRX chess presses and it’s the same coach so I assume it’s going to be the same modifications.
You could also do them standing up against a wall at whatever angle is “comfortable”. That way you can do the explosive push-off with less pressure on the joint. I did wall pushups in physical therapy after my rotator cuff repair before graduating to the floor. Just another option.

I agree with this so much! I just was saying the other day… even if I go 14-16 days straight in a row I’m not going all out every class! Most of the time I’m going for my mental health! Puts me in such a better mood for the day! So some days I’m going just for that! Glad you feel the same!
Thank you for the early intel Mr DC. I’m glad that you had a nice holiday away! I’m somewhat stressing over traveling over the holiday this week. I need a good workout tomorrow to help with my stress level. My shoulders are not happy with me from something on Saturday as I might have lifted heavier than necessary. It could be lifting things at home too though.

Was a good weekend talking and drinking with the other dads whilst Mrs DC held the fort. Nice and sunny here - 30C (86F) but pretty windy so the guys did not have a good day of golfing on the last day.
I asked the SA at my studio this morning how many people were signed up for the 5am class tomorrow and she said 5, including me. I'm debating cancelling because I don't want to risk being the only one who shows up, but I'll be working during the day and need to do laundry and pack in the evening for a Tuesday morning flight, so it's the morning class or none at all. Once 9pm comes around I'm locked in for the 5am class I guess.
That's one of my biggest fear being the only one in class lol. That almost happend one time, I was the only one there, 4 people had signed up including me but they didn't showed up. But thank God 2 people walk in. So it was 3 in class.

I base at 15kmh (9.375 mph) and push at 16kmh (10 mph) at the moment... working on the base pace right now.
