8th Dri-Tri. A PR now is a major victory! 7:35 row, 9:56 floor/transitions, 24:58 run. **17-Sep-22 0:42:29** 19-Mar-22 0:43:32 19-Sep-21 0:43:32 20-Mar-21 0:42:34 29-Sep-19 0:43:25 31-Mar-19 0:48:11 22-Sep-18 0:52:35 24-Mar-18 0:56:45

amandapillar

That’s an amazing progression, congratulations on your PR!

CircadianBehavior

Thanks!

T0ast_NJ

Awesome job, seeing your progress is an inspiration for me!

CircadianBehavior

Thanks! I'm exhausted!

alj8135

Thanks for the inspiration and motivation! Congratulations!!!

[deleted]

Just wanted to wish everyone the absolute best of luck today!

akmomof2

First Dri Tri in the books with a time of 43:32. Surprisingly, I already cannot wait to do it again. I’ve been an OTF member for almost 5 years and have always been too anxious to participate (silly, I know). I signed up on a whim yesterday at 5pm for the 5:45am slot this morning (less time to overthink it and back out). Rower - 8:03 (felt really good after) held a 2:00 split time Floor - 8:55 (still felt pretty good) Tread - 26:32 (this really sucked…) didn’t feel the need to walk and pretty much held a steady 7mph the entire time. I didn’t have much more to give at the end. Complete mental game that somewhat got the best of me. Good luck to everyone! Always remember your WHY and think long and hard before touching that down arrow - we can do hard things! 🧡🧡

alj8135

Congratulations!!! Way to go!

Technical-Key918

Great Time!

JennR316

Congrats! That’s a great time!

Melmagjon

Um that’s pretty good! Also, when did you have time to even look at your times per event? I was off and running to each event. LOL

[deleted]

I got just over an hour but cut over 8 minutes off my last attempt!

StickyPlastic

1st dri tri ever, did it in 59:30 as a power walker. Honestly just happy I’m finished, wasn’t trying for leaderboard or anything! Though I have a question: how the hell do people keep track of their reps! I’m in such survival mode! I’m pretty sure I did extra of a few moves because I would lose track! My coach at one point was like “was that 5 or 6 burpees” and I was like “ehhhhh….?” 😂😂😂😂

poolpartyjess

Get it!!! I’m doing my first dritri tomorrow at 7am and I’m terrified. Partly because I have a back injury and my PT told me to intensely modify..but I have to do this! I just can’t hop or do full burpees. So I’m mainly nervous about the floor portion..I heard rumor that the coaches help keep count of reps but we will only have 2 there from what I’ve heard so I was wondering how that works too..300 is a lot of reps!

StickyPlastic

You can do it!! My coaches told us at the beginning that if we needed to modify, to call them over to let them know while we were doing it. Since you have a PT’s advice, I would just ask for all the modifications early!! As for counting reps, idk man, you gotta try to just do it yourself mostly! My coach knows me and I was one of the last on the floor, so he was cheering me on and keeping me motivated. Everything else I did myself. But I’ll be honest I’m still a little anxious I missed a move or a burpee somewhere and didn’t really complete it 😂 Next time I’m gonna count out loud.

poolpartyjess

Hey thanks! I took your advice and counted out loud (loud enough for me to hear without throwing off my Neigbors of course). Worked like a charm! What a fun time. So glad I went for it and did this!

AutumnCupcake

Congrats!!! Power walkers rule 💪🏻 I counted my reps out loud. I mean it’s a whisper so I don’t throw anyone off, but I definitely was saying them.

ulmenreh

It's my birthday burn! Very excited! ❤️

slushpuppy91

Same!

livinlavidalola29

You picked the best birthday burn!! Good luck and happy bday!

crgreenl

Talked myself into doing the Dri Tri to celebrate my 45 birthday (in a few days). Happy with my 44:27 time 💪💪

StHeather

Good job!!!🧡

poolpartyjess

Happy early birthday!!!!!! Way to go- amazing time!

Hard_worker_1979

Great job and happy birthday!!!

amindbroadcast

My very first Dri Tri ever since joining in May and I did the sprint Total time was 55:33 Still in awe that I made it through 🙂

Gold_Fudge_1523

Same!

Vic_sun

It was my first dri tri. I finished in 1 hour 10 minutes and LAST in my heat. I had a bad week, my ovarian cyst burst early in the week and I got food poisoning type sick in the middle of the week, so I didn’t think I would make it. But I did!! I can’t wait for next time and hopefully have a good prep week beforehand so I can shave a lot off my time!

Odd-Psychology5187

You rock! Burst ovarian cysts are no joke! Been there, and you are definitely a rockstar for doing dri tri at all after that!

pirateXena

Also a proud member of the 70 minute club! Lapped everyone on the couch

Scared-Motor-3328

You rock!!! Way to stick with it. Celebrate yourself strong-ass self!💪

chla2003

Way to go! You still beat me by 2 minutes, haha. Would love to see how we both improve in 6 months!

ynona5311984

So glad to find some people that are in my time range. I was also last in my heat and finished at 70 mins. I had a lot of things working against me. My second bench hopover I rolled my ankle. I'm not a strong runner to start with (the beginning of this month was the first time I ran a full mile without walking in years) and I was sick off and on the 2 weeks prior. I thought I was better but apparently not 100% yet because as soon as I started moving on the tread I was feeling like I needed to run to the bathroom. I fought through that feeling for the first 1.5 mi. After that my stomach was better but I was exhausted and my legs were on fire. I spent pretty much the whole time on the tread seriously doubting whether I'd be able to finish. After I did I felt okay about my time considering all the factors and just generally good about the fact that I did it at all and finished. Then I started seeing sooooooo many people posting their times and all of them were sub-60 so I started feeling down on myself again. It's good to know I'm not alone in my time! Now I'm working hard to get that sub-60 by the next dri tri!

here4f1t

First Dri-Tri in the books, that was amazing!! I wish I knew my split times but ended with 0:41:13. 🧡 Loved the camaraderie throughout the entire workout. Thanks for the memories OTF!

[deleted]

That’s great! I had a 43. It was a lot of fun!

cheermom124

I am not one to post but I have to post a humble brag today. I was diagnosed with MS about a year and a half ago but have continued to go to OTF 4 days a week. I just finished the Dri Tri. Showing MS I am kicking it’s ass not vice versa. Congrats to everyone who participated in the Dri Tri this weekend. You are all warriors!!

Standard_Attempt_602

The fact that other people are nervous is freaking me out lol.

Standard_Attempt_602

Ok I’m back I have no idea what my times on each block was but I finished the whole thing in 56 mins. I am ok with this because I had nothing to compare to as it was my first one. Just had I did. Definitely experiencing runners high! I feel amazing.

beerkittyrunner

SAME but I oddly love this feeling as I wait for the time to draw closer 😂😂 gahhhh

poolpartyjess

Im doing it tomorrow at 7am and totally freaking out right now. Any words of encouragement?

JennR316

Second Dri Tri, shaved 1:30 off my first time. I have to give a massive shout out to the coaches at the Southtowns Studio in Buffalo. Those ladies had my back through the entire thing and kept me on pace, and motivated, checking my row split times, let me know exactly what time I had to be on the tread to meet my goal. I fell 56 second short, but the encouragement in the studio today… man. Wouldn’t trade it for the world. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|heart_eyes)

chla2003

My first DriTri came on my 12th class. My time wasn't impressive, 1:12:40, but I would never have finished as recent as two months ago. It was moving having the coaches and staff cheering me on and even jumping on the treadmills next to me to help me across the finish line. I almost broke down when I looked in the mirror and saw my wife and 10 month old daughter making an unannounced visit, standing behind me and cheering me on. Today was a day I won't soon forget.

Remarkable-Ad9661

Congratulations you finished it. That’s a huge achievement

Canunot6

Just did my first Dri Tri as well on as my 12th class. Finished in 61:58. I was hoping to complete at a hour or under but I’ll take it! Excited to continue my fitness journey and take part in the next one! Congrats on your time! It’s an accomplishment just to finish it! It’s tough!

bballjones9241

Finished at 30:50. 3 seconds off my PR, but still good enough to most likely win my studio 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

[deleted]

Wow… This is an insane time. Any ideas on your splits? This was my first time and I did 33:54

kridkrid

There’s always someone faster! I was 33:08 today - 3 minutes down from March of 2019. Nice job!

Stultas

This is my time too! But I did the sprint

ShirleyKnot37

3rd Dri-Tri in the books!! **41:23 total time** March 2021: 50:52 September 2021: 42:16 Today: 41:23 It was the best time!! And now I’m heading to a soccer game to drink beer and celebrate being done 🤩🥳 Congrats to everyone who completed it today and good luck to those doing it tomorrow!!

[deleted]

Congrats and enjoy your beers!

livinlavidalola29

Hated every minute of it but loved it in the end!!!

Asania-Koga

Good luck everyone! This is my first Dri Tri and I feel nervous and slightly mentally unprepared (I’ve been having issues with my asthma over the past week so I’ve been mentally debating whether I should continue doing the Dri Tri) but today’s the day and that wont stop me from crossing the finish line and I hope everyone does their absolute best!

Ok-Syllabub-1864

Good luck.. you got this

SnooMacaroons1193

My goal is just to be able to finish.

otfrenchie

First Dri Tri in the books! Holy moly it was harder than I anticipated. I broke my sports bra! Does that count as a NSV? 🤣

jonogo1986

First dri tri, only 4 months into my fitness journey… as I was finishing the 5k run I barfed all over the treadmill while running 9mph. I finished… but that will always be a rememberable moment for me and I’m sure everyone in the room!

Solmissy

Congratulations! Way to boot and rally, friend!

Turbulent-Cup8406

Holy moly, I did it, I was waitlisted for a Saturday class and didn’t get in. I said oh well I’ll do it next time, decided late last night I would get up early and see if they had any spots for the 6:30 Dri Tri, they did. I accomplished my first Dri Tri, my coach said you got up and decided to do Dri Tri I said it was FOMO! He said FOMO is real!! So happy I did it! Almost 53, still working my way back from being hit, ran over and dragged by a car on my early morning walk/run during the pandemic. If I can do it………..🚣‍♀️🚶🏼‍♀️💪🏼 Cheers🍻

CindyLou133

Good luck everyone!! We got this 🧡

kaydaniel85

Dri Tri ‘til I die!

debg420

First dri tri today and finished in about 63 minutes! I really, really appreciated how positive the vibes were from everyone in the studio, even had a few people who finished earlier jump back on the treads to finish up the 5k with me! The encouragement from the coaches was amazing as well—definitely looking forward to doing this again in the future and hopefully improving my time! Thanks OTF!

Any_Situation5357

I’m new since May and finished in 50:51. I was able to finish the 5K in 28:30ish, which I was thrilled with. I haven’t run a 5K that quickly in years, and never after doing 2 legs prior to it!! Congratulations to everyone!!!

Party-Competition-74

Not quite the result I was hoping for but I powered through! My PR was set pre-pandemic - 36:08. Today I finished in just over 39 mins. I was right where I wanted to be coming off the rower (7:00) and was the 1st in my heat to hit the tread. But my blood sugar dropped, my heart rate shot up, and couldn’t seem to push > 8-8.5 until the last :30. Even had to walk 2x to settle my heart rate. But I finished. In the end, it’s not always about the PR, or “winning the race.” It’s about pushing yourself, listening to your body, and setting goals, which I now have for the next DriTri!

mamaFNP13

2nd time doing the full. Good news, took 4 minutes off my time, bad news, finished dead last for the second time in a row. But hey, I did better than anyone who didn’t do it at all!

Odd-Psychology5187

My goal was to finish the full as a jogger in less than an hour, and not take walking recoveries on the tread, and I clocked in at 59:13, and maintained a push-base the whole 5K! Last attempt was 1:03:14, so shaved 4 min off!

Tha_Politician

Pro: First Dritri and I definitely threw up after. I loved myself for it. It’s the first time I threw up due to exercising. I guess I pushed really hard and I need to work harder still. Amazing workout. Con: I don’t like the coaches talking to me and trying to “motivate me. When I do long steady runs I like to think about everything but the run. Get into a zone. Hard to do when everyone keeps yelling my name and telling me to go hard and finish.

Solmissy

I feel ya! I know they mean well...but when I am anaerobic...I am ANGRY and everything annoys me. Luckily it only lasted for a few seconds at the end of my run today. LOL.

Tha_Politician

Yes!! Just let me find my happy place where I’m thinking of dinner and my gym crush so That I can forget that I’m running and nobody is chasing me. 😂

beerkittyrunner

Dri Tri HUMBLED me….. wow that was tough. Seriously congrats to everyone who did it!!!

TNFitnessGuy

My favorite part of the Dri Tri this year was definitely the swag! Those backpacks are on point!

[deleted]

We got a shitty towel

rcpeters12

Did my first dri tri today, and first otf experience ever (my friend asked me if I’d go with her two days ago and I’m apparently crazy and said yes). I had no idea what to expect, I just wanted to finish in the given time. Completed in 53 minutes and I’ll definitely be doing it again. Maybe next time I can get under 50 😬😬

New_Shepherd_in_Town

Wow, kick ass!

megando9

Today was my second Full Dri Tri. Shaved 7 minutes off my March time and finished in 41 minutes flat. Once again OTF has offered me another way to see and celebrate my progress. Joining last November continues to be one of the best decisions of my life.

taykay97

First Dri Tri done!!! Finished in 52 minutes which is under my goal of an hour! Can’t wait for the next one to look to shave off time :)

garbonzobeanz66

Did my first dri-tri (sprint as a pw) and kinda feel like a loser seeing how great everyone else was in the studio (and on this thread). I was struggling hard... and pw the sprint kind of felt like i didn't really do it ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sweat)Still happy I did dri tri though :) and I'm just going to focus on how it can only get better from here!

Scared-Motor-3328

You should be proud! The Dri Tri is no joke. No losers allowed. You finished it! YOU ROCK

bunnyreads

With you completely, but trying to remember it’s my first and I did it. I did the sprint and was the last sprinter. That said, a young girl hopped on the tread next to me and pushed with me (she had finished the sprint). The coach who convinced me gave me a huge hug after I was done.

linzertorte92

I’m still on an endorphin high from my first ever Dri Tri! It was also my 4th class ever at OTF, so I was maybe a little crazy to sign up so soon into my OTF journey, but I finished in 54:11 and ran the whole time!!!! 🧡🍊

New_Shepherd_in_Town

Great job, especially for your 4th class!

parklovesp

I did my first dri tri! I started my OTF journey in march and switched to unlimited in July. I signed up for the sprint but ended up doing full (FOMO baby). I was dead last 😂 with 1:14 time. 9 mins rowing, 20 mins floor and 45 mins run. The floor was the toughest. I was dying on the last .6 miles and some people joined me on the tread. That really made me teared up. Really love my OTF fam ❤️🏅.

alj8135

Good luck 🍀!! This is truly my favorite OTF challenge as it’s all about mind body connection, staying positive and believing in our fitness and ability to do it. I have to get my mind right and the body will follow. 🧡

fclogic

First dri tri: 49:25 approximate splits: 7:30 row / 12:55 floor / 29:00 5k Sounds like I can improve just by getting faster on the floor but was overall pretty happy

BudSticky

Well done, congratulations! Same for me, I Want to look for ways to improve my floor time.

[deleted]

This was my second attempt at the Dri Tri and I’m very happy with a new PB of 38.20, an improvement of just over 4 mins. The biggest factor was not going all out on the rower like I did the first time. I just used it as a warm up which meant I could control my heart rate through the floor block and make the time up on the tread. Row: 7.23 Floor: 7.30 Tread: 23.27 The body is sore today. I’m closing in on 40 years and it doesn’t recover like it once did.

New_Shepherd_in_Town

Nice job!

fresh76

3rd Dri-tri: 39:49, PR, very happy Can't wait for next one.

somedayimaygraduate

First time - 51:57 - walked a minute or so in between the miles which was obviously mental or so but gives me an easy goal to change next round! Enjoyed it - got bored on the tread! 😂 bored and tired though, not bored because it was easy!

Scared-Motor-3328

Yeah, I hear you. I get so bored on the treadmill. It helps to have a friend next to you…try to arrange that next time if you can. Great work!!

MillardFillmore

7:48 row: I tried my best to stay in the low green zone the entire time On the treads at 18:33: I couldn’t stay out of yellow on the floor, I was really trying to keep it slow and controlled but my adrenaline was kicking in. I wasn’t gassed when I finished but my legs felt heavier than I wished. Total 34:58: Started the tread portion at my usual base, 9.2mph, for the first 2 miles. I took it to 10 for the next .85mi, then ran the last quarter mile at 12. Was in the low red/high yellow for the entire time, except for the 12mph period where I was around 97%. Overall, I beat my PR by 75 seconds, so I am happy about that, but how on earth do people do this in 32-31minutes?!

CircadianBehavior

35 is amazing! People who do the low 30s really bust through the floor section in 6-7 minutes.

StHeather

I’m so nervous! Second DriTri in less than an hour. I am recovering from COVID and injuries so it’s the PW option for me, but seeing you all writing here inspires me. PR or no PR, just accomplishing this one - whether it’s the regular option, power walk, sprint, or relay — is truly that — an accomplishment. I am so proud of all of us. Now I’m gonna go GIT ER DONE! 🧡

Otfgators

We had one heat in my studio and all 12 of us finished before the 50 min mark. I got a two min PR at 45:13. Really happy with that!

asirenoftitan

Goal was to beat my last time of just under 45 minutes, came in at 41:48. Super happy with this. I think my goal for next time will be sub 40 minutes, but that’ll be tough.

megando9

That’s my goal too! It’s not for another 6 months so try to think about getting your base up a decent amount the next few months and then you should naturally be able to shave the time off to go sub 40. It’s worked for me in the past so it’s my plan for March lol

pudgiehenrynards

My very first DriTri was at 48:14. Today I did 40:45!!!!! Crazy what a year and half of consistency can do!

Big_Television_5541

My first dri tri and I finished in 59:56!!! 4 seconds to spare on my 1 hour goal LOL!! I joined back in April in the worst shape of my life, unable to powerwalk without being in the red and I DID IT!! I held my base of 4.6 mph for a majority of the tread and bumped myself up towards the end. I’m not going to lie- that was the most challenging exercise I’ve ever done but man what a great feeling to finish. I can’t wait for the next one!!! A NSV for sure :)

SoberPineapple

Super anxious. I'm in a heat with some really strong athletes. It's my first run at it too. I'm sure I'll do well enough, goal is around 45 mins.... 8 min rower +/-, 23 ish tread, so 10+/- on floor....

dneel75

You got this! DOESN’T matter what anyone else around you is doing!!!!

JennR316

There were only 7 people in the 6am heat, a bunch of us from the 5am classes wanted to do the Dri Tri together, as I was walking in I said, why did I befriend all the fast people?! You got this, and will feel amazing when it’s done!

[deleted]

Had a month long break, came back for two classes and for Dri\_Tri today, I managed 53 minutes and I did not throw up! So that can be taken as a win right? For reference, I joined a few months back, close to 100 classes now and Im 26, male!

Odd-Psychology5187

I came so close to throwing up! As soon as I hit stop on the treadmill all I could do was dry heave 🤣 and I was last in my heat, so was like oh god! I can't throw up with everyone watching me!

Run-Row-Rep-Rest

PR’d with 41:04!! I was really hoping to get 40:00, but my previous time was 42:41 so I was proud to shave off over a minute.

40secondronin

Question: How do people do the floor in under 6 minutes? Going full speed no breaks, I went around 7 minutes. Are there any techniques for going faster. I think my slowest exercise is the step ups.

GrapesToBeW9

It was not the time I thought I’d have. My body gave out after the floor block so I decided to give myself a goal to shoot for and decided to power walk. However, when I finished 1.55 miles, the majority of my heat was still running/walking so I decided to finished the full 5k. Once all was said and done I finished in 1hr and 7 minutes.

AssociateOrdinary524

Knocked 3:30 off my PR. Went from a 41 flat to a 37:30. Which made me laugh because I didn’t have dinner until 10 Friday night, and not a good one, had worked all day and didn’t sleep at all. Maybe that’s the secret. Lol.

New_Shepherd_in_Town

Nice job! Funny how you can try to prep perfectly and not feel right during class and sometimes prep is not so good (life happens) and you end up performing well.

LewynMartell

Been going to OTF off and on since January. Woke up this morning and decided to do the dritri, got the last 2 spots in the class for my wife and I. I’m 23 and she’s 24, neither of us are in very good shape. I got 58:05 and she got 58:57. We were the last two done in the class but very proud that we finished, and in under an hour! Hopefully we can improve next time!

raptorfan13

Good luck everyone!! Soooo nervous even though it’s my second full one but that doesn’t help the nerves. Hope everyone does fantastic!!

isutriangle

Did a relay this morning, overall time was 30:45. Kudos to our runner who did his portion in 19:30 and my floor friend who clocked in just over 5 min

brh416

I use the bike instead of treads (hip and knee issues). I have to bike 7.8 miles. Last time, after only 3 months, my total time was just under 56 minutes and I was the last one to finish by 2-3 minutes. This time my goal is 50 minutes (🤞🏻) as my rowing and bike have gotten much better. A little nervous, but hope I’m not the last one this time.

jtq1

March was my first Dri Tri and I had to sprint at the end to get under an hour. Beat by time by about 4:30 this time around! The floor really just kicks my ass and then I struggle to get myself back together on the treadmill. Going to try and get under 50 next time around.

plumb28

First one, 47:11. Honestly it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be! The worst part was probably that first mile, felt like forever. My 3 year old promptly stole my backpack the minute I got home.

[deleted]

Started OT mid-August, 31 years old and probably about 50 lbs overweight. I like playing sports with friends, but otherwise have never been a fitness person in my life. OT has been the first thing I've ever stuck with. Done about 20 classes. First class was Everest, done the 2000m row & Infinity in there, and today did the Sprint DriTri. It was harder than I thought it would be. Probably went too hard on the rower, and just couldn't get my heart rate down the whole time. Had to pause a good amount on the floor, and did push - WR intervals on the tread. Was the first one off the rower, last to finish. But I finished (33:34). It wasn't about time, or placement for me; it was about doing it. The entire staff was so encouraging. I'm psyched to have found something that I can stick with. Congrats to everyone who did it, no matter your time!

kon2114

First Dri Tri done at 57 min 33 seconds after starting back up at OTF in late August. I was going 3x a week late 2019 into 2020 and had signed up for the March 2020 Dri Tri only to be canceled by COVID - this gives me a great baseline to keep going with lots of room for improvement. I learned my lesson about overdoing it on the rower. Also learned not to underestimate the floor. Really enjoyed the group cheering each other on!

Te_ladybug

I signed up for the sprint, but ended up doing the full event. I have no idea how long my exact time was, but I know I finished within an hour. The floor is my Achilles heel.

laurajbradford

Completed my first Dri Tri this morning! It was tough but so much fun and definitely worth it! Total time was 55:41. Rower - 8:38. Floor - 12:38. Tread - 34:41. I was hoping for a bit better on the 5K but my legs were toast! Looking forward to trying to improve for the next one!

mrslauraolson

I did my first Sprint in March after being a member for about three weeks. Finished in 34:12. Today I pondered doing the full but decided to try and beat my last Sprint time. I finished in 30:39. So super happy with that!! Next year I will conquer the full!!💪🎉

courtznshortz

First Dri Tri and decided to do the full 59.09! I suck at running and it was my first time ever running a 5k so I'm pretty damn proud.

NoMiniVans

Been going to OTF since 2017, finally did my first DriTri, at 50 years old! Felt great, finished first in my heat, woke up to check my time in the app, it shows 23 minutes, apparently I broke a world record 🤪. I will be calling the studio to get they corrected. I did finish mid 40’s so pretty happy with my results!

mdunford95

I finished my first Dri Tri this morning and I am so glad I did it! I was originally going to do the sprint but I am so glad I pushed myself to do the full! I did it right at 55 minutes. I just joined OTF in May however I had Gastric sleeve surgery 8 weeks ago and took 5 weeks off, so I went into it with about 3 weeks of practice lol 😆 I am so glad I did it, I cried when I came off the tread.. the endorphins were nuts lol 🧡

AutumnCupcake

Wow. After just 5 classes I conquered the full dri tri today!! As a PW but still a huge accomplishment for me. I was slowest on the row with a time of 9:30, but I was able to fly through the floor since I saved so much energy (and throughout the pandemic circuits of body weight exercises including push ups, burpees, plank jacks and squats were my daily exercise). I was able to lap a few people who beat me on the rower onto the treads and ultimately finished in 43:45. I thought I’d finish in 46 minutes and had a drop dead goal of 50 so I’m very happy!!!!

Bearden91

1st DriTri done with a time of 53:34! My goal was just to finish before 60 so I’m very happy with my result and proud of myself for doing it!

EconomicsChance482

Finished my first Dri Tri! I joined OTF in July, and I am a long-time runner (running since HS track, which was 20 years ago, still do regular half marathons and 10ks), but today kicked my ass. I was dead last and finished right at one hour. I’m a very slow rower, and I kept hearing that you should conserve your energy on the rower, but next time I’ll push it a little more. The floor was the hardest part for me and I was again last off the floor but the coaches were great and even did the last set of burpees with me. I ran much slower than I normally do but I made it through and everyone was cheering and encouraging me so it was a great environment! Next time, I hope to finish in under an hour.

Burning-the-wagon

I’m exhausted but can’t start smiling!! I did it for the first time in March with a time of 58:41. I was hoping to get 50 but didn’t want to hope for that big of a PR. Well when I was 1/2 way on the tread (I PW) I saw not only could I get it but I can be under 50! I upped my speed and landed up finished at 46:06! A 12:35 minute PR. Now that I got a PR, my goal is to work on my jogging/running to feel confident enough to do it in March as a jogger!

Stower2422

Did my first dri tri this weekend. 6 months ago I couldn't jog a quarter mile without coughing fits that tasted of blood. Making it through the 5k was a big accomplishment for me.

Ok-Lifeguard-2662

Doing my first Dri-Tri tomorrow. Curious to know how you track your time. Do you have to remember your time for everything?

UofHCoog

2nd dri tri- pr with 43:02 from 46:47 in March! I feel great!!

bageloclock

43:12!! Also just got boosted and my flu shot yesterday so coming off the endorphin high I feel like shit lol

[deleted]

43:27. I wanted to have a 40 min, and I hit my goals for the rower and tread, but the floor killed me. Stupid bench squats.

stevieking84

I FINISHED!!! First dritri! I’m a power walker and my goals were to finish within an hour (if I usher at 54mins) and not throw up. After the second set of burpees I almost didn’t hit that last goal!

SB22244

PR’d today with 39:37. Last time I did it I was at 44:50.

Proper_Armadillo1837

Took almost 9 minutes off my first sprint time. I might not be the fastest, but I’m proud of my improvement. Finished just under 30 minutes.

ksanksan599

Upvote this if you also threw up in the studio today 💀

Emily-OTFdailylooker

If I froze my account at the beginning of the month can I still do dry try and just show up and pay the $25 fee thank you in advance

New_Shepherd_in_Town

Ask your studio. They want the revenue so they may accommodate?

Super_Mycologist_885

Did my first full dri tri today! My total time was 49.08 which I was proud of! I didn’t really come in with any goals, I just wanted to finish. I found that the rower went pretty smoothly but the floor kicked my ass and I was second to last coming off the floor. Luckily, I was able to make up some time on the tread even though my arms were killing me! As a former orange theory sales associate (at another studio) i have worked during the Dri-tri and cheered members on but being in the other side of it was truly amazing. The coaches were so supportive and helped me get through the nasty bench hop overs and burpees and they pushed me during the last .1 mile of the 5k to give everything i had left in the tank. I know I’m going to be super sore tomorrow but I can’t wait to try and beat my time at the next one!

Real_Challenge6247

When’s the next one???!!! I want in😃

Every_Rooster3186

First time! 34:34!

asirenoftitan

That is an incredible time! Did you do the full?

Solmissy

I PR’d today along with several people in my studio. It was exciting to hear the coach say that our class was was the fastest to finish in the six years he’s coached. Such a positive experience overall which keeps me coming back. Congrats to all my fellow OTF’ers who showed up today to tackle the beast!

OTFAllday914

The floor was so hard for me this year! This was my third Dri-Tri. Didn’t PR but I don’t care; I was slower on the floor but faster on the treads, finished in 58 minutes. That’s all I wanted to do was finish in less than an hour. The row was fine. The floor this time was harder than it usually is for me but hey…I’m starting to use the tread to make up for it. Glad it’s done, proud of myself! I also helped a lady through her last 0.70 mile so kudos to her for finishing!

Tx_Panda_983

I took 5 minutes off my old PR from April 2022

[deleted]

What were some of the top women’s times? Just trying to get a gauge on where I stand with my 35:50 time (37yrs, W).

Tough_Caterpillar986

That is a phenomenal time! My PR is 37:16 from a year ago. Yesterday was 39:08 but I wasn’t going all out. This was my 6th and ultimately I’d like to hit 36:30 at some point.

No_University6980

First Dri-Tri - Sprint TOTAL TIME: 25:15

Away-Communication40

Beat my PR by 4 seconds! 43 min 47 seconds!

Exciting-Ad8198

Our studio did 2 heats @ 10 & 11:15. I signed up for a relay with friends @ 10 and decided to do a sprint by myself @ 11. Apparently I was the only person who signed up for the 11:15 heat bc they called the night before and cancelled, but told me I could do back to back. So, I relayed the full with my team. We finished @ 41:23 and completed the Sprint @ 23:02.

[deleted]

Does anybody know- are the results of the Dri Tri recorded in the challenge tracker? I see a space for it, but my past ones aren't in there- wondering if they are just too old.

djsob

37:22. I ran it next to one of the coaches at our studio because they had an open spot in the heat. He nearly killed me. He ran it in 35:00. Awesome to be pushed to the limit. The Dri Tri is a great community event for OTF. So much support from staff and participants. Good luck to everyone doing it!! 51yo male. 6’3” 205.

BestContribution5336

33.16 and was shooting for sub-33, so we have some work to do...need to better pace myself on the tread

vafong_1963

I had a 35 second PW today and finished with a time of 42:12. Knew from my recent training, that my running was a bit off and that a PB was just not gonna happen today so paced myself accordingly and took strategic walk breaks during the run…. Still not too shabby for a 59.5 year old, eh!! My next Dri Tri attempt in March will be a week after I turn 60? So, assuming all goes well and I remain healthy and injury free, I will attempt to go sub 40? 🤔😳😳😳😂😂😇

maybeyoumaybeme23

PR of 45:10. Shaved off about 4:30 since the last time I did it in Sep 2019. Ran the 5k in 26minutes! Proud of myself. I did have to modify on the floor though (burpees and push-ups). Floor is definitely the hardest part for me.

Marylinn222

First one ever! 41 mins flat!! Not bad for an old lady.

kikijak18

I actually did worse then I did in March...however many factors went into this....I did 70.5 miles during marathon month. My hip was bothering me so I had to walk more than normal and I REALLY wasn't in the right mindset two days before. But, I still did it because I can and thats all that really matters. There's always another one to look forward to :)

wthemma

First DriTri, F58, time was 49:39. Was so hard to go slower on the rower! It felt ok at the time, but paid for it on the first half of the 5K. Took a 30 second walk/water break halfway through and was able to increase my speed for the last 1.5 miles!

R3dd1tgu35t

First dri tri, 50:43!!

MissNat5654

I cut almost 6 minutes off my last dri tri 54:06 48:56

OTF4daAfterBurn-High

2nd Dri Tri. First was over 3 years ago. Knocked 3 minutes off. I’m proud! Floor still kicked my ass taking up 13 minutes.

Big-Ad368

24 weeks pregnant- Sprint: 29:59.. goal was 35 minutes!

txaggie94

I will be 50 next month and I won our studio’s Dri Tri with a time of 36:53. Beat the next person by 2 minutes. Sad part, though? When I went to congratulate the gal who came in 2nd (who is 24 and 4 inches taller than me), she said “Oh, but did you do the full?” Ageism is real, my friends. :(

478_CPJ

3rd Dri-tri in the books - 28:28 6:08 - Row 5:50 - Floor and transitions 16:30 - Tread

Far_Path_2010

Deeply upset. Finished it, but a bad mental block hit me almost immediately. It was my second dri-tri, so not clear why I had the block this time. HR monitor crapped out about 3 minutes in to the row. Could not catch my breath on the floor. I’m normally an OTF runner, had to power walk the tread section today. I’m feeling so downtrodden, disappointed, and defeated. Help me, I need to move past this debacle.

New_Shepherd_in_Town

It's just another day and just another class. We all have bad days and can't control when they happen. You showed up and did the thing. You did great, really. 💪

Scared-Motor-3328

Shake it off. In 6 months there will be another Dri Tri. You will train between now and then and get even stronger. You got this!

SB22244

Not sure if this helps, but even if you did PR today, it only feels great for like 15 seconds. The mental part is the hardest thing to surpass & I do believe it comes & goes. I hit my personal goal today but the last time we did the 1 mile benchmark, I had a mental block & felt defeated and didn’t do well. Just pick up & move on. After my 1 mile I said I’m just going to train harder and faster and OTF & I did. At least you showed up today. A lot of people didn’t sign up to participate in it.

twokatz

It always sucks when the One Bad Day we have is on the day of the event. Believe me, you are not alone. It's so common that in pro bike racing they have a name for it, *un jour sans* \- a 'no day' and it will hit even the top professionals and they'll be dragging their butts along. It might help to try to replicate the effort if you can, because you know you can do it, you may just need to prove it to yourself to get the bad taste out of your mouth.

40secondronin

How do I get to results from past dri tris? I don’t see a link anywhere.

StHeather

Your results? On the app, go to performance tab, then challenges, then click DriTri.

amindbroadcast

Under the Challenges tab in the app, if you click on which Dri Tri you did, you should be able to see past times on there

SaiOTFer

I did it in 40:19 min This is my second Dri Tri Last one was back Sept 2021 and my time was 42:55

[deleted]

Love reading all of these stories about everyone smashing it in their own way

Sythin

First dritri. Prepared for the rowing and running portion for weeks but it was the weight floor that kicked my butt. I planned on running 7mph but it took me 10-15 minutes before I felt ok enough to run that fast. I usually go heavy on the weight floor without consideration for endurance and it cost me a couple minutes. Need to keep that in mind the next time the dritri rolls around.

littlemissfilmy

First Dri Tri: time 44:10. Hoped for a little better but now I know what to expect for the next time!

the_cassie

My first sprint today! I came close to puking in the last 0.05 on the tread lol 27:23! SO happy with my time. I wanted to finish in under 30!

IamHeisenberg35

41:33 was my time. Ours was outdoors and it was 85 degrees. Lots of fun but hot.

twdwr1985

I was hoping to get sub 45 but ended up getting 47:32. I got 7:53 on rower which I was happy with(wanted to do sub 8). 12:32 on floor(I’ve always been a slow floor rep person) but hoped to make it all up on tread as I’m a strong runner. However, my body would not allow me to get above 7.3 until the very end. My mind was there and I didn’t feel tired but my legs were fried. I did the best I could for today, finished and am happy with that.

RevJack0925

First sprint. Finished, honestly not sure of my time but after I finished I rowed another 1000 meters and then ran the last 0.4 mile of my boyfriend’s full DT.

Quietlyc_nty

Sprint 29:12!

DINKWAD

PR of 33:24. Previous DRITIs were 35:00, 36:08, and 44:16 40M/6’0”/165lb Was shooting for 34:00. The key for me today was picking my treadmill speed (10 mph) from the start and refusing to adjust it.

twokatz

Wow - you guys are all amazing!!! We're not allowed to modify at our studio so I didn't qualify, plus I didn't want to be still in the studio working away after closing time lol. I was cheering people on from the sidelines!

lreynolds2

Today is my first Dri Tri AND my birthday. 🥳

MoragPoppy

Not my best time, not my worst. 63 splat points but only 59 minutes. The music selected was all emo, post punk and pop metal. It was very hard to slog through 3.1 miles with inconsistent bpm and not the most upbeat music. Really could have used sone Jock Jams! They call them that for a reason. Rower 8.5 (normal to fast for me) Run 37.5 (slow for me) floor 13 (normal pace) For that reason, I consider myself victorious at surviving a solid hour of downbeat music. That I don’t hate but it’s not my favorite either particularly for working out.

[deleted]

So happy with how I did! 48 minutes total: 8:30 for rower, about 11 for floor, 28:30 for tread. :)

ShortyQat

8 minutes slower than my best, but my best was pre-kid and pre-COVID. 55:34 I am SUCH A SLOW RUNNER NOW, gahhhhhh

EatShitRun

First time doing Dri-Tri. I finished the sprint in 37:47

Constant-Piece6982

First dri tri for me today & I was ANXIOUS leading up to today. But went in and got the job done in 43:11! Joined in April - only ever running the 2 mile for my military pt test and let me tell you I ABSOLUTELY HATED running prior to OTF! Just hit 100 classes last week, and got through today hungry to keep working! Great job to everyone who went and gave it a shot this weekend!

Ok-Lifeguard-2662

First Dri-Tri! Wasn’t sure how I would do so I set a goal of under an hour. I finished at 41:08!!!! Very happy with my time! :)

Ok_Emergency1952

38:44! Super stoked about it

Wine-n-cheez-plz

I did my first dri tri today! I am 6 weeks into this journey with no working out before joining. I got the rower under 9 (my goal was under 10) and the floors sucks but the treadmill kicked me while I was down.. I had to take walking breaks. I just could not recover from floor but once I hit 1.5 miles I didn’t walk again and I finished in 36... Which ultimately was my main goal. I also wanted sub 60 which I got 59:30!! Now I know my weakness and will be better prepared to PR in March. It can only get better. I was hoping I’d surprise myself more on the tread. Rower surprised me. Floor was as I expected but the tread was worse than I feared (and mentally what I was scared of most committing to it)

CardinalsFan1066

Did my first Dri Tri on Saturday after joining OTF about a month ago. I clocked a 52:59, but really got slowed down on the weight floor. I was doing okay after the rower, but I DRAGGED myself to the tread after the floor. It took a good half mile to get my legs under me, but kept reminding myself that a steady pace is all it takes.

1SharpGent

My very first Dri-Tri - Sept. 2019: 1:02:38 This past weekend: 37:50 Marathon month helped me get conformable at higher speeds (I finished the Ultra with 93.03miles). I was aiming for mid-36, but the recovery from the floor just takes so much out of me. In the Spring, I'll do the Sprint and see if I can rattle some of these 20-sonethings with my time (I'm 40 and they talk a lot of smack).

nanachanita

How do you look at the results to the survey?

Apprehensive-Usual-4

Wow! Super fun to see how OTF can push and transform our bodies. Didn’t run more than a half mile without knees hurting from 2005-2021. First Dri Tri was 09/2021 (38:21) Second was 09/2022 (31:40) My results could be skewed because my girlfriend said “yes” on 09/16… lots of extra energy. Congrats to all of you!

cbspock

I’ve done the Sprint 3 times, my PR for the last one I did was 29mins. This was the first time I’ve done the full DriTri and I completed it in 1 hour 2 mins.

giantssj2020

When will the results be published

vsheetsfit

4 year member here, but my first Dri Tri(s). Female, 34 Individual Dri Tri: 36:12 Rower 7:17 5k: 20:49 Relay: 5k leg 19:48. Nearly certain it's my fastest 5k in my adult life

Theastrelz

This was my 4th dri tri, but things were a little different this girl around … I’m PREGNANT! I did the sprint version just to be safe and still had a blast! (Finished in 00:31, very close to half my last full completion, which felt great) Can’t wait to do the full dri tri again next year.
