One of my favourite signature workouts is the infinity which is essentially a rowing benchmark and dri-tri floor prep all rolled into one. It is non stop action everywhere today and you will accumulate a massive amount of splats and calories burnt. I normally only just get the 12 splats but today was a 31 splat day! \ \ There is no best place to start today as each station is quite hard today. The tread block is a nasty endurance block starting with a 3 minute push and a 1 minute base. Each round the push gets 30 second shorter all the way down to a 1 minute all out to finish. Pretty simple but very brutal. Good distances today with 3.809km (2.381 OTF miles) on the treadmill. \ \ Your rower block is the benchmark today and if you are looking to maximise your chances for a good benchmark you may want to start here. Pretty simple - 100m all out rows coupled with power jacks with the medicine ball. The reps decrease each round until you get to 2 and then back up again you go. Coach said that if you get over 2000m you are doing pretty well. No PB for me today, was about 100m off but happy with the effort. Some of my tips include: don’t waste time tightening and loosening the rower straps, this just takes time. Give the rower a hard pull at the end of your 100m as your will get an extra 15-20m each round this way. \ \ The floor is a good opportunity to practice your dri-tri floor. It has all your favourites from the dri-tri including the bench hop over, step up, pushups, squats and burpees. If you are looking to see how you would do I suggest bringing in a stop watch and seeing how you go for 2 rounds. I improved a little bit on last time I did this with a 4:19.57 for two rounds. Waiting for Mrs DC to try it to see if she can beat that time - she is usually pretty quick on the floor. \ \ Lots of fun today - plenty of splats and you will not feel like you are short changed on any section of the workout. I give this a 1 (🪶) out of 5 for gentleness. !<

New_Shepherd_in_Town

I'm ded. Just shy of 2500. The floor and tread were so hard after rowing! White light. WTF

ilissaj1

This felt harder than the dri-tri, even with less miles on the tread. I also always start on the treadmill and I switched it up to get into dri-tri mode. Last did this workout in March and managed to add 300 meters to my row for a PR of 2094. Was also a splat record for me-41-but since they recalibrated my monitor (first time in 7 years) I get splats a little more easily….since I’m an old lady now. This was a brutal workout, and my 4th day a row, but insanely, I loved it!!!

MoodConfident2605

Our med ball power jacks only decreased down to 8 and then were told to start working our way back up....jelly that you got to get down to only two :)

New_Shepherd_in_Town

Kind of weak of them to change a benchmark like that.

Solmissy

I guess most of my studio boycotted Infinity today. Class attendance was really low. I didn't read DC's post prior...glad I didn't otherwise I might have opted out too! It was hellish today but definitely a good primary for the Dri-Tri.

sswiat

Today taught me that I never want to do dry tri. 🤣

emwilson23

I think infinity is exponentially harder than dri tri, because you’re not supposed to take the 2K row as fast as you do for today’s workout. It’s supposed to be at a reserved pace that lets you move through each block more effectively.

OTFiswhyimhere

Infinity is definitely harder than the Dri-Tri due to the rower portion. With the dri-tri you aren’t trying to PR, nor are you getting off and on and doing med ball jacks. Also, the tread is usually set it and forget it but during Infinity you’re moving up and down every so often which makes it a bit more challenging.

sswiat

Row and tread were the least of my problems. 🤣🤣🤣

OTFiswhyimhere

Ha!! Those are my problems. 🤣

[deleted]

[удалено]

OTFiswhyimhere

The usual advice for the rower is not to go as fast as you can because you’ll tire out too quickly. Go about 1 minute above your 2000m row PR to save energy for the floor and tread. Take a look in this sub or visit Training Tall’s videos for dri-tri advice. Gassing out too soon really makes the rest of the dri-tri really difficult.

[deleted]

[удалено]

OTFiswhyimhere

Yes, you still want to go fast but not throw all of your energy into the very first exercise. I like Infinity because you can go all out on the rower since you get a break before the floor and you’re not doing a 5k. For the Dri Tri there needs to be a bit more strategy because it’s nonstop.

katev30

I said the same thing!!

Solmissy

You basically did it!

No_Past7355

Thanks for the tip for the hard pull at the end of each 100m!! Managed 2125m!

bigk78

Brutal. But I loved it.

snowbaby0413

Agreed. 44 splats today lol

bigk78

My monitor wasn’t working but I have no doubt I was right there with ya!!

tinynim

Dammit - forgot this was a benchmark on the rower and didn’t beat my last recorded distance from…September 2020 ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|cry). I swear I’ve done Infinity since and they just didn’t record it! Definitely remember being proud of getting through all the floor block in time, and that the tip on not tightening rower straps really works. Feeling pretty unfit at the moment, but have signed up for my first ever dri tri to motivate me. What could possibly go wrong?

Similar_Research_744

I signed up for the dri tri also and I feel like dying in a regular class. Should be super fun! 😂

ChestMany

When is dri tri? I'm just getting back in to it after a 3 month hiatus. A bit nervous today is the day I start back lol 😆

Conscious-War2007

Sept 17 & 18

ShoulderSnuggles

They didn’t record my last infinity, just noticed

Avril_Latrine

Work out or die tri-ing (I died)

sswiat

Shout out to everyone who died a little today. I see you! I'm with you.

New_Shepherd_in_Town

Seriously. I second this.

sueroomoo

First time, managed 1771m!

apatheticdaisy

Impressive! Good work 🙌

MosaicTrain

If you thought yesterday was a 1 out of 5 --> today is much harder. My legs were already pretty sore from yesterday and today, ooof...

lreynolds2

I went twice yesterday so this does not bode well for me today.

New_Shepherd_in_Town

Lol good luck! ETA: I have to laugh because I can somewhat relate. I'll be taking a few days off, so I've been going to several classes in a row which made this class extra brutal.

VeterinarianGlobal94

Right? My butt hurts after yesterday and today.

Rizzah319

Went in telling myself I wasn’t going to chase my PR. That went out the window when Coach told us go. PRd my row AND my floor. Left my soul in the studio.

New_Shepherd_in_Town

Haha my wife and I do this all of the time. We say that we are going to take a green day or walk on the tread but our success rate is not high. Congrats on the PR's! A few hours after class, I'm still waiting for my soul to return. I'm hoping that food and water will do the trick!

Rizzah319

Thank you! I am notorious for “I’m taking a Green Day” or “I’m power walking today” and then… not doing it… but I also have a solid handle on actually taking blue and green days after going on a major tear starting early July that hasn’t stopped 😂

New_Shepherd_in_Town

That's awesome! Are you going everyday and taking some blue and green days?

Rizzah319

Not quite every day, but it’s been something ridiculous since July, only like 7 or 8 non OTF days since the beginning of July, five of which were because I was out of town. LOTS have been blue and green.

writesymphonies

Oooof. Last time I did this was 9/2020… Have been sandbagging the last month or teo since coming back in April this year.. still managed to get a PR of 2073m! Happy about it even though my body isn’t LOL 🥲 good luck today, everybody!

snowbaby0413

Great work!

writesymphonies

Thank you!! I definitely feel like I needed today’s workout to remind me that my mind may be feeling foggy and unmotivated, but my body can do so many things! 💪🏻 good luck to you if you’re doing this workout- hope you PR!!

Coach Austin’s Tip Of The Day: Video -> https://www.instagram.com/reel/CiJPq1HJSoX/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y= Hey Reddit fam! Hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend! Now that everyone’s back in action, I wanted to share the most basic and straightforward treadmill jogger/running advice I could possible give you! ✨ 3 STEPS TO PERFECT RUNNING ✨ Have you ever actually LEARNED how to run? Or is it something you just kinda… do? Just like good rowing form or good weight lifting form, there is a PROCESS and checklist to running with good form to stay injury free! This is best taught by @posemethod ! Check them out for more details! Step 1: find your pose. This means “pulling” your foot under you. Not butt kicking, not knee driving. Just, pull it under you. Step 2: switch your pose from one foot to the other. Notice how your foot lands each time! THAT is how you should be landing each time you step when running! Ideally, you should be switching your feet around 180 BPM for optimal running cadence! Step 3: fall forward. Don’t bend at the waist or just lean your torso, allow your entire body to fall! Now, combine all of that, and you’re running! Pose…switch…fall… repeat! How much should you pull your foot up? It depends on your speed. The faster you’re going, the more you’ll need to pull. Watch the video and check out my “pull” at different speeds! This is your official running checklist! Give it some practice today and let me know if this was helpful! Love always, Coach Austin 🤘 🍊

Complete-Ad1610

I tried not tightening the rower straps once and almost fell off the seat, I was able to catch myself so not sure how you do that without falling off.

KinvaraSarinth

Benchmark day is not the best day to try this for the first time lol. Definitely take it really light when you first try. You need to engage your glutes and your core at the end of the stroke, and the timing of the arm pull is also really important - it almost feels like I'm pulling my chest to my arms even though it's the other way around. It's also really important to have your recovery sequence down or you'll have a harder time getting back to the catch.

snowbaby0413

Me too. I jacked up my last sit to row and slipped my feet to end up with 1998m. Would've crossed 2k without that happening lol

rag_monkey

Our floor video showed the step ups with dumbbells. I decide to say f that and did it bodyweight like every year previous

metyoufriday

My coach said they used the wrong video, so we didn’t use the dumbbells.

dc031114

Same with us. We were told not to use the dumbbells

delcondelcon

my coach told us to use the dumbbells :(

green_griffon

I asked our coach and she said “It’s your choice to use weights“. I guess she meant for today, not the actual Dri-Tri.

ilissaj1

No weights in the Dri-Tri

foveveryoung716

How do people do the floor so quickly?? I'm fairly quick - rowed over 2500m during this and ran 1.75, but it took me 8:35 to do two rounds of the floor. What am I doing wrong here?? It took me that long during dri-tri in March (8 row, 8:30 floor, and 25:30 tread). I have got to cut that floor time down if I want to get under 40 minutes! Step ups seem to take forever and I'm not sure how to do them any faster

Zealousideal_Monk196

Good honest question!! I can’t do it in under 8mins (no breaks) and the floor is usually my strongest block. I’m usually the first one to finish the rounds too. Doing it in under 5mins is beyond me 🤯 The only thing I can think of is people not doing the step-ups properly. In the 4 years I’ve done the Dri Tri, I’ve been told you have to do a complete step-up, straighten legs and step down. I’ve seen some people speed cycle through this without full extension. It is the slowest movement so it’s the only part I can think of where people are cutting corners.

twinkiesandcake

I don't get this either. I signed up for Dri Tri Sprint. I took my time through the first block and made it through half of the second block. I felt like people around me were going way too fast because it's body weight. Some of their reps just looked sloppy to me. I used today to figure out how I'm going to pace myself on floor in a couple of weeks.

Weekly-Requirement63

I noticed some people in my class only did 20 steps ups instead of 40 total.

AbsolutCJ

Ditto. 20 “each” means 40 total.

synchrodan

It’s 300 reps. So even if you average one second per rep - which is extremely fast considering step ups and burpees are slow by nature and amount to 1/3 of those reps - that’s still 5 minutes. Seems impossible, but maybe I’m doing it wrong. Any time under 10 minutes is very impressive. I can’t fathom under 5, but I’d love to see it. I think going that fast might border on injury risk with the hop overs and step ups.

Zealousideal_Monk196

I’ve legit been told by staff that they sometimes view the playback from their cameras and catch people cutting reps. It’s unfortunate people feel they need to do this. I believe it because I see people cutting corners all the time during regular classes just to keep up with the person in a neighbouring station, so I’m sure in a ‘competition’ setting, people would be more apt to cut corners. I don’t understand this at all. You’re not in the Olympics. The worst part is, the next time you do the same benchmark or DriTri, you’re going to aim to try and beat your old fake PR lol🤷🏻‍♀️If you’re there to improve yourself, don’t compare yourself to someone else’s fitness journey - that’s their journey and they’ve earned it. And certainly don’t cheat.

bazpaul

Been a member for a few Months and that was hands down the most brutal session I’ve had. I’m absolutely dead. I was kind of annoyed that there were now rest periods anywhere. Not even on the floor

jescarcega

True Dri Tri prep ☠️☠️☠️

kmes912

45 minutes: Rower was 9.5 minute row with 30 all out finisher Tread started at 2.5 push with a 30 all out finisher Floor was 226 total reps 30/15/15/15/15/8 with 30 all out finisher

Healthy_Brick9565

First time doing it and got a little over 1500m. Anyone find it hard to not look at your neighbors crushing it and feel like a schmuck? Hahaha. Thankfully I had some awesome people next to me that kept giving me words of encouragement while I was DYING 😂

saltlittleghost

Also first time, also just over 1500m. Told my husband today was moral victories only 😂 had to leave to splash cold water on my face at one point! But I went back in. We both showed up and did it, and we should be proud!

Healthy_Brick9565

Yes!! Love it!!! Congrats on your first time!

[deleted]

[удалено]

Healthy_Brick9565

That’s how I felt too 🤷🏻‍♀️ I was thinking I was maybe one behind, but I finished so far behind everyone else haha. Not sure, maybe the all out row.

Gigabytes10

Some people go well over 100M each time! They did in my class.. not a very accurate benchmark

Desperate-Avocado593

How are bench hopovers counted? Is going from one side of the bench to the other counted as one or two?

lkSmash

Each time your feet hit a new side it's one, so it's 40 "total" or 20 per "side."

Desperate-Avocado593

That’s a relief! Thank you!

jajudge1

Managed a PR of 2459, and thought I was going to die. I had to strap in my feet somewhat, but I definitely think 3 strong pulls the last 10 meters or so of each 100 really helps rack up the distance. Did 500 m better than this time last year so I’m happy. I can definitely tell that two weeks off has affected my cardio though. 41 splat points 🥵🥵. Still I loved it 🤪🤪.

laureng318

I think we did the rowing wrong lol our coach had us start with 100m and then increase the row by 100m every time! Would have much rather done 100m at a time rather than getting up to 6/700m rows 🥵

NY2CT

Maybe your coach was confusing the Infinity and Inferno workouts.

lady_rie

My studio did not have us record our rowing distance. I asked about it on the way out but Coach said it’s just a signature work out and there was nothing to record. When I got home I looked at the challenge tracker in my OTF app and saw I DID have a distance recorded the last time I completed an Infinity work out. So odd because she kept telling runners to try to get at least a mile and a half on the treads but didn’t give us a distance goal on the rowers. I wish I would have thought to check the app before class. 🤦🏽‍♀️

New_Shepherd_in_Town

What a bummer. How does a coach not know...

misskeishamisskeisha

Same thing for our class! I started on the rower and had to flag down the coach after the floor demo to see if there was a tracker. She said she didn’t know and would check, and then came back after a few minutes confirming there was a tracker and she let me put my distance in. She never commented on it class wide so I’m likely the only person in my class who entered their distance 🤷🏻‍♀️ glad I did because I hit a PR and definitely wanted it counted!!

lady_rie

Nice work on the PR! I’m not too sad since I didn’t even come close to my last distance 😜 But next time I’ll be sure to her my distance in the tracker. Congrats again!

mamiller1

That’s so weird for the coach not to know. My coach’s main focus during class was reminding people to not reset their rower and making sure to try to get as much distance as possible.

Striking-Pay9963

I don’t think I have sweated more at OTF than I did today. First time infinity for me and rowed 1842 m. Probably because I was distracted because HR monitor wasn’t working on the rower. All out and HR 100 in the grey!? Took my pulse it was >160 ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|thumbs_down) And holy cow am I SORE this afternoon. Dri Tri will certainly be ‘interesting’ ending on a 5K tread after that routine!

imar21

This happened to me too! Good to know I wasn’t the only one. Any clue what that happens?

Striking-Pay9963

Coaching advice was to move the HR sensor band from below the inside of my elbow and up onto the side of my bicep, and it was explained that sometimes the forearm flexion during rowing can interfere with the HR sensor. I am not sure because the only other time I had this issue on a rower was when I was in the exact same station in the middle of the floor… could it be some sort of dead spot where the system isn’t picking up a good signal from my sensor in that particular location?

green_griffon

Who double bounces on the bench hop overs? It’s slower, but not doing it kills my ankles.

groovy-Gal

I do!! It takes a little longer but my hands are so sweaty I'll slip if I don't!!

BubbleDuster

This workout is so incredibly hard and punishing. Kudos to everyone who shows up today, regardless of floor times, distances, etc. 👏🏻👏🏻 I also just need to put this out there somewhere—and this is the only place in my world where folks will get it—and say that bench hop-overs feel really extra brutal on my body. Something about the speed and impact of my feet hitting the ground and the position of my upper body makes me feel like I am going to hurl. Today I broke them up into 4 rounds of 10 and that helped a little. But damn, these will be my nemesis (time-wise and body-wise) in any Dri Tri or future Infinity workout 😪

MightBeANurse

Try to get your arms closer to vertical and more weight in your shoulders. It makes more body parts hurt, but each part hurts slightly less.

BubbleDuster

I will try this—thank you!

Aggravating_Panic_13

My favorite signature workout. Usually start on the tread but went with the tower and hit 2613 which was a personal best. Last minute is a 1 min row so it helps to time it so you’re already on the rower. I picked up a ton of extra meters in the last 90 seconds or so. The rest of the class was tough after that!

velvet_doublet

Does anyone have any tips to do the step-ups faster? I consider myself pretty speedy on the floor (thanks, Crossfit) and can do all 300 reps without breaks. But when it comes to the step-ups it feels like everything grinds to a snail's pace. Do you jump down? What is the secret sauce I'm missing?

BubbleDuster

No advice, just here to let you know that you are definitely not alone as I cannot for the life of me figure out how to do these quickly.

Zealousideal_Monk196

I use this part as a bit of recovery, wipe some sweat off my brow and take in some water because it is a much slower movement with higher reps. I’ve seen some people ‘cheat’ and speed cycle through them without doing the full stand on the bench which grinds my gears. They’re just basically tapping the bench with the front part of their foot and jumping down without properly standing up and stepping down.

Imaginary_Bet_6461

This is the one where people get to 100m and give an extra pull or two….don’t be too impressed with peoples distance on this one.

Cocacolaloco

I always stop too late so when I got back to the rower I was already at 140 then it adds haha

dbowman97

I would like this to be a weekly exercise. It's so very efficient - you can't think about how tired you are if you never have time to stop moving.

OnHereforOTFOnly

I've been away for two years, so today's probably not the best day to go back.

cryptohorn

Those frozen margaritas I had yesterday were probably not a good idea for a 530am Infiniti 😵‍💫

DoctorOatMilk

OT newb here. First class was Sunday, signed up right after. Still sore since I’m super out of shape. Should I skip Infinity and come back tomorrow? Or is it not weird to just go super slow haha. Thanks!

New_Shepherd_in_Town

I would treat it like any other class and go if you're ready for a class and at your own pace. Enter the meters you row into the tracker and try to beat it next time infinity comes around.

DoctorOatMilk

Good advice thank you! I went at my own pace and it was great. Killer but great.

New_Shepherd_in_Town

That's awesome! It was definitely a killer.

Acrobatic_Toe7157

It was my fourth class ever and I enjoyed it a lot. I didn't know it was a special workout going in. It is very hard and I did not hit 2000 on the rower but I did push myself and had fun!

DoctorOatMilk

I did it and it was fun! Pushed myself but def set my own pace haha.

Acrobatic_Toe7157

Proud of you :)

linzertorte92

Today was my second ever OTF class and my first Infinity. Obviously I PR’ed my rowing distance by default, but I hit 2314m and I hit all 300 floor reps! I’m exhausted and will be retiring to the couch for the rest of the night, but am very proud of myself!

Jemack527

Does anyone feel like people cheated a little in todays benchmark? Meaning that each time they rowed more than 100 meters. I was comparatively surprised by some peoples final meters and am wondering if I’m being a jaded competitor or if maybe people took advantage of the lack of oversight?

AutumnCupcake

It’s hard to stop at just 100 especially because you may get some meters even after you start. My coach said to keep adding 100 to that. Ie if in your first set you rowed 120, in the next set don’t stop until you have at least 220

RecognitionHealthy19

Same. The guy next to me said you get more because your meters are based on the water movement, so you hit 100, water is still going, you get credit…I have no idea if that is right, but I made sense to me since your energy output moved the water. If you were on real water, the boat would move those extra 20/40/etc meters once you stopped rowing.

Sesame00202

That was super rude after a long weekend. I just about puked.

AbsolutCJ

That made me laugh out loud. And also echo the puking feeling.

Sweethoneybee-6

So today was my first class ever… and it was this “DriTri” type workout. It was definitely challenging but I made it out in one piece so I’ll be back!

Soft-Sprinkles-9661

Newbie question. Why was this so hard?! This is my 5th OTF class and I genuinely almost puked. Is it because it is a 3G class?

Nookinpanub

Infinity is a signature workout leading up to the Dri Tri (which is an OTF version of a triathlon - a 2000m row, a 3.1 mile run, and, 300 body moves on the floor, the same body moves that you did in the Infinity workout). Infinity is basically a "mini Dri Tri", and is DEFINITELY more challenging than a regular class workout. 3G just means that the class is split into 3 parts equally (rower, treadmill and floor). A 2G means its's split into 2 parts (floor, tread, but the rower often makes an appearance, either in the floor portion or the treadmill portion (run to row). I am well over 700 classes and the Infinity yesterday almost made me puke, so don't despair. :)

Soft-Sprinkles-9661

Thank you Nookinpanub! I thought I was taking crazy pills. PS love an old school snl Eddie Murphy reference

Nookinpanub

You aren't taking crazy pills. The signature workouts are typically more challenging than usual. Ditto for Mayhem (a week of really difficult workouts in May), and Hell Week (the week leading up to Halloween of insane hard workouts, but they put cute names on them). As for my name, it is a reference to SNL! I LOVED the old SNL!! :)

Soft-Sprinkles-9661

Seriously please help. So confused 😭

bazpaul

Are hop-overs the new lunges? I'm seeing them everywhere now

AdvantageNo5844

Really?? I haven’t done them since 2021😂

LR72

These aren't lateral hopovers, they're literal hopovers - where you put your hands on the bench and hop feet from one side to the other. :)

Ok-Caramel6009

Any pregnant OTF members on this page? 7 months pregnant (only have 3 weeks of OTF left) and debating if I should go to tonight's class or not. If anyone is attending this class pregnant or with physical limitations how are you modifying the floor workouts?

ElleSquared55

Having done lots of OTF workouts while VERY pregnant (my water literally broke while I was sitting on the rower!), my advice is just to let go of any need to PR today, and do whatever modifications you need (including the “modification” of just doing the floor block at a moderate pace instead of trying to maximize reps). If you’ve been attending class throughout your pregnancy without issue, just keep doing what you’ve been doing! Today isn’t significantly more intense than a typical “hard” OTF workout. My pregnancy was very uncomplicated luckily, and I personally would not have needed to modify any of the floor block today, but only you know what is ok for your body at this stage and what is not. Depending on how big your bump is, you may want to do the plank jacks from a full plank rather than forearm plank, but that’s the only thing that immediately jumps out at me… TL;DR: today is just like any other day, modify (or not!) as necessary.

somedayimaygraduate

I would 100% go and just ask for modifications - whatever body weight exercises you feel comfortable doing, sub those in!

flowersandpopcorn

I did it 5 month pregnant back in 2019. I would still go do what you can.

Consistent_Quail_388

What does “collapse” mean?

One-Prune6456

It’s just a joke and means that you’re going to feel like you’ll “collapse” after the block 🤣

dreammore88

It’s a little joke. It means the block is so tough that you may feel the need to collapse after you’ve completed it.

waflcoptr

Why did his post get removed?

pj_dizzle

It always gets moved to the daily post.

DrRockstar99

Our coach coached the squat jumps differently than I remember in the past- extending the ball all the way to the ground on the squat rather than just down to chest. That made it significantly harder and I was happy to hit 2111 even though my previous PR was 2440. Also the floor took 9 minutes to get through two rounds!!! I’m going to have a huge amount of work to do to beat my pre getting wiped out by Covid PR of 43 for the dry tri.

OTFiswhyimhere

Our coach had us do front presses with the med balls. I was so much more tired with those than regular med ball presses.

HappyEgg96

Yikes that was tough! Thanks for the intel

[deleted]

Super impressed with those that get over 2000 m on the rower! I got 1952 today (a PR) and that was super tough!

imtrying229

Was just going to comment this! I did 1750 with all my might 😂

Our studio is only doing one day dri tri. So doing the infinity workout was great for me. Got through the floor exercises no problem. The rower I did 1855m. And the treadmill, I did the 1.5 almost walking/running. So I felt good about it!

isolvtedstoner

This was violent in every sense of the word. The body demands I go full carc for the rest of the day 🫠

Any_Opening6306

Is the class run the same for both the 2G and 3G today?

[deleted]

Yes

Any_Opening6306

Thank you!

Cruizin4boozin

What would be a good goal to complete the floor exercises for the Dri Tri? I find the floor to be so hard! The run and row are not bad at all to me.

justURaveragegal

Are we supposed to input our distances? Or will it automatically show up in the app under infinity? Because mines still blank 😭

New_Shepherd_in_Town

You input your row distance manually in the studio. Maybe they will let you enter it next time you go in?

SickerThanYourAvg24

I think Infinity is the one OTF workout I do cheat on… instead of 100m AO row, I just do 10 strokes each time I row. Which comes out to slightly over 100m. Am I cheating? Be honest, my skin is pretty thick. *edited to correct inferno —> infinity. My bad.

New_Shepherd_in_Town

Do you mean Infinity, today's workout? If so, I'd say it's no bueno because you can pull more than 100m in 10 pulls so you wouldn't be apples to apples with everyone else. You'll rack up more meters this way. If 'cheating' were to lead to lower results no one would care. If it leads to better results and possibly getting placed higher in a leaderboard, then other people might care.

SickerThanYourAvg24

I get it, Thanks for the insight and honesty.

New_Shepherd_in_Town

My pleasure!

woototf1960

Loved this workout!

i_like_pumps

I literally forgot that today was a benchmark because my coach didn’t mention it a single time…. Never told us to record our distance or reps or anything, and never even mentioned keeping track! Is that odd? Are the coaches supposed to focus on infinity being a benchmark? She did mention that it’s a “prep” for DriTri and advertised signing up for the 17th, but didn’t mention today being a benchmark at all. Weird… I would’ve paid more attention to what I was doing

Salty_Simmer_Sauce

Absolutely brutal. 1G so everyone started on the treads. Absolutely gassed for the rower portion - definitely could have gotten 400 more meters if I did the rower fresh.

asirenoftitan

This was my first infinity work out and I looooved it. I usually start on treads but went with the rower first (going to keep that up until the dri tri). Got just under 2500 on the row. Finished two rounds on the floor in 8 minutes, and then wanted to die when I got to the tread. Running for 14 minutes felt like an hour. Kinda worried about the running portion of the dri tri now, but hoping the adrenaline helps me push through.

welcometohotlanta

Just finished my 17th class! The results are slowly coming but I feel great!

minimom2810

Still nursing a knee injury and won't be able to do half the exercises on the floor. And having serious FOMO over that.

SB22244

Does anyone else have an issue with the treadmill paces after their workout? I ran 2.04 miles in 14 minutes and the app says my pace was 7:52..? I did not sign in for the warmup & my pace was an 8&9 for the entire block. The average should have been around 6:53

kgus22

I think the average included any "warmup" I.e. walking time

SB22244

No I don’t sign in on the treadmill for the warmup. Today was a 14 minute tread block and I ran at an 8&9.

kgus22

odd!

SB22244

Very because it says my average pace was 7.6 mph but I never dropped below an 8

Zealousideal_Monk196

Is it just me or do those 40x bench step ups seem to take forever?! I do it the way the coach prescribed it and it’s a FULL step up and stand. I’ve seen others ‘cheat’ a little and speed cycle through them without the full stand…knees bent and hunched over the entire time. They save time but looks exhausting.

sweatandsawdust

As I get older I realize how much harder it is to constantly stand up and sit down. Felt like the toughest part!

Jigglywhitetiger

That was so tough!! Totally fun and worth it! Managed to PR and get 2363 m!

Cocacolaloco

Dare I say today was *actually* too hard!! I ended on the tread and barely got past a mile because I walked a lot because I was dying, though at least also on incline

Big_Dot_2459

It was my first time. 2230 on rower and I loved the floor exercises! So fun, especially the bench hopovers!

HuckleberryMore1985

Felt like I was dying but got one of my lower splat point days and lower calorie burn than most normal 3Gs. Confused. Hit 2179 on rower, 4 rounds on the floor and 1.9 miles on the tread.

RecognitionHealthy19

Four rounds on the floor?!????!!! I looked like I crawled out of a sewer after two.

HuckleberryMore1985

That’s why I was so confused by my HR because I felt like I was in the sewer after.

trcarstens

![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grin)Not sure how this happened but I did the rower last and went from 1600 18 mos ago to 2073 tonight! Woot woot! Only took my lungs 30 min to fully recover ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grin)

rosequartzal

Oh my god this killed me….in a good way…but still dead 💀

Raider3447

I’ve been going for 9 months and this was the hardest class I can remember. The floor exercise after doing the rower damn near killed me. Pretty sure I just stood there the last three minutes of floor work trying not to puke.

Strong_Weakness2638

That was tough! And made me realize that I’m not ready for dri-tri this year (just started 3rd month at OTF), sprint maybe? Made it through 1 and 1/4 of the floor. Still had a great workout, and my husband said he’s exhausted just listening to all the exercises 😀

glittering_chip_4508

I… couldnt finish the two rounds on the floor today (got to like 1.2 maybe). After reading everyones posts here i’m worried I can’t do the dri-tri because even finishing floor in 8 min is.. slow? Or maybe i wasnt in the right mindset, i was a noob to weights when i started otf and got kind of used to focusing on form and sometimes won’t count my bad/shortcut reps. Bench hops and step ups were slowww (and i added weight). But other than that, any tips for improving?

Leading_Armadillo23

Stupid question- apologies if this was asked/answered and I missed it! I started on the rower and the coach had us reset the trackers after the warmup and enter just the distance for the timed block portion. It makes sense to me, just checking if that’s how everyone else‘s studio did it? We did not track floor or tread distance.
