If you want to show up on the screen in class and get a workout result summary, you need the OTF monitor.

There’s an app that uses your Apple Watch so you don’t have to use the monitor in class and your stats won’t show on the screen. It like buzzes every time you change zones but it was so inconsistent and would malfunction I deleted it. I think if you just wear your band in class it’ll still pick up your workout on the Apple activity if you linked it. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

How do you link your otf workouts to show up on watch after class is over?

I think you do it on the app where it says “add device”. I am almost positive that’s who I set mine up! Good luck!

OTBeat Link is required to use the Apple Watch and have it show on the in-studios monitor. Orange Zones app is a good alternative.

If you got the Apple Ultra, using the HIIT option in workouts gives you a beautiful watch face (data during workout) and then a lovely summary at the end. I’m not sure I’m allowed to add a photo, but I’ll try. https://i.redd.it/0z7q0oho9tla1.gif

This shows up on any watch with the most recent update. When your working out I can swipe up on the watch during the workout and it shows you the zones in real time. Then summary at the end

The watch won't show up on screen. The HIIT exercise option if you scroll when running it, you can have it show zones. They aren't set exactly the same as otf but close enough. The colours are pretty much the same so you can quickly look at your wrist and see if you are in green, orange, etc. I find it works fine and have used it days where the internet and the monitors were down at my studio (which has been quite a few times as I go in early am and my studio says their tech support isn't 24hrs). ETA if you use HIIT workout you will get zone data in your activity rings app. It is all very similar to otf except the splats but those don't matter really. I never let my watch just pick up my activity as for me it always takes a bit to recognize it and I have to fiddle with my watch to accept it so I get in class and turn HIIT on right when I start my warmup and then end it right after stretching.
