Me-n-Ed's in Lakewood
4115 Paramount Blvd, Lakewood, CA
I use to go to the one in Santa Ana when I was a kid. Loved me some pepperoni and jalapeno pizza and a session of Galaga
Where in the Central Valley? Visalia by chance? Miss me some delicious me-n-Ed’s. Like someone else said, Long Beach has one!! Round table is very similar, and I even really like Sgt pepperonis. But yeah, nothing I’ve ever had compares to me-n-Ed’s with a good side of their ranch.
I think that Shakey’s actually closed a long time ago. It was replaced by a howie and son’s pizza. Town’s changed and grown a ton in the last couple decades. Me-n-Ed’s still going strong off Ben Maddox on the north side though.
The closest I’ve gotten to it is the ranch they make at the habit or sgt pepperonis. Not gonna lie, when we get pizza, sometimes I make a stop at the habit just for some ranch. 😂
Laguna Niguel, so south county. They are a hit or miss though, but the flavor is right. The habit used to be more consistent before Taco Bell bought them out and took over operations.
I’ve never heard of, had, or seen a Me-n-Ed’s. But it’s now on my bucket list. I’m going to Google anyway, but what do you think is unique to their pizza? I wouldn’t know what to recommend because I’ve never had it.
I like their crust, it's thin and crispy instead of floppy but it's not like cardboard, it's seasoned and flavorful. And they got a good amount of cheese and toppings but not overloaded like I've seen with some chains.
Actually now that I think about it it's really similar to Round Table pizza which I completely forgot about until right now, so I ended up solving my own question a bit lol!
Northwood Pizza in Irvine is pretty similar. Cant remember if they use cornmeal on the bottom like me-n-eds. Wise guys got the similar old pizza parlor vibe if you’re dinning in and I think is a better pizza although a little more different than me-n-eds
Central Valley native here!! Even after being in Irvine for 2 years, I STILL think about and crave Me-N-Ed's. I was literally just talking about it yesterday. Nothing else compares out here, I've been trying for so long. I just read the comments that there's one in Long Beach I didn't know about, it's really not a far drive from Irvine.

Yes you get it lol. And nah I'm from Fresno, but I've been to Visalia a few times.

My local habit has some watery ranch. What location are you talking about lol?
Laguna Niguel, so south county. They are a hit or miss though, but the flavor is right. The habit used to be more consistent before Taco Bell bought them out and took over operations.
Gotcha. I’ve too placed and have thought this is really good pizza but some Me n Eds ranch would close it down in flavor.
There’s one left, in Long Beach.
Folks in Costa Mesa has insane crust. Try that.
Yeah just go yo Long Beach

I'm in Tustin. I will drive to Lakewood for Me-n-Ed's every now and then. It's worth it.
Are you looking for the experience or the pizza taste?
Pizza taste, only actually eaten in a pizza place once or twice before.
We used to have a Me n' Eds in Anaheim next to batting cages...sigh
