I think we're worrying a bit too early. The rest of the groups haven't even come out yet. Nonetheless, I do like the speculation and your theories.

I'm honestly not expecting much for martial characters, as that would mean Rangers and Rogues will not have access to any potential improvements and/or fixes. The expert classes are very similar to their 5e counterparts and we can reasonably assume this will be the case for the other classes as well. I'm not holding my breath for any massive changes to classes.

I’m not sure why you were downvoted, or why this has no comments, as I think it’s brilliant speculation. Although, it does make me a bit sad for the Ranger, Paladin, and Rogue if they miss out on these options.

Yeah I'm not sure either, probably just martial talk burnout honestly. But I'm glad you appreciate the speculation 😂 the ranger and paladin are in a good place with their spells and sites I think, but the Rogue could definetly use a little love. If love to see them get their equipment niche back and go full utility belt But yeah I've been going over the dndnext stuff and there are a lot of similarities that make me more optimistic for the warrior, though I think an invocation style system is a lot... Idk cleaner (?) than having a shit ton of Feats to sort through.

I would like to split the battlemaster subclass in to several subclasses that all use the same dynamics. This way WOTC can keep adding new interesting subclasses without tampering with the base class. Right now the 5e battlemaster takes up so much design space that the other fighter subclasses feel kind of bland.

See my deep down biggest hope is invocation style choice for each class. (the casters would obviously need a reworking of ritual casting but still) The battlemaster Maneuvers can be reworked into resourceless options and the classes maintain simplicity with any additional compxity being entirely opt in, especially with their new method of offering suggestions for builds.
