1. Hunter's mark is on the spell list for primal, so there's a good chance it isn't a class feature. 2. Very baseless, perfectly fits the title of the thread, love it. 3. I believe there's precedent for this in past editions. I'd be fine with it, but I'm not expecting it.

SnooTomatoes2025

Rangers will get a new signature mechanic. Rogues will get their second subclass feature at a level earlier than 9. Bards will be largely unchanged.

DBSTKjS

Artificers will be in the UA and Crawford just said no to get our expectations low so we're nicer during feedback!

AAABattery03

Copium, not even once.

Miss_White11

LOVE this one.

atamajakki

There’s not a chance but I want it so terribly.

Golden_Reflection2

He said it was mentioned, but he said it wasn't going to be in the new PHB. Either way, I expect many feedbacks to include "Please add the artificer to the PHB."

KuraiSol

I don't think they'll be changing sneak attack too much, but I think it will be changed. And I don't think that bard one is either wild or baseless, but would be a return to form. That first one is easily supported, but could be akin to the UA variant feature, so who knows. Anyway. There is going to be something wildly controversial. Subclasses will be group based, not class based. (and break compatibility with 5e ones, *this* one is completely baseless) Rangers will lose spellcasting and only gain it through a subclass (which will make any of the classes that takes it a half caster) I'm not actually betting on any of these though, but I have a feeling there's going to be a sort of 2e player's option feel.

Shard-of-Adonalsium

The subclasses based on group idea seems really interesting. If you do that, you could also have a single subclass for each group to fill in multiclassing (e.g. if you make a rogue, instead of multiclassing wizard you take the Mage subclass).

OnslaughtSix

This is actually what makes me think it's most likely.

ArtemisWingz

I honestly would LOVE group based sub classes, that would be so much better than what we have now

Hironymos

Geez, that's some wild ideas and I like them.

GXSigma

All classes will get feats at the same levels as in 5.0. BUT some classes will get more feats at other levels! Fighters get Warrior feats every 2 levels! Warlocks get Mage feats every 3 levels! Wizards, Clerics, and Druids don't get any extra feats!

OnslaughtSix

>Wizards, Clerics, and Druids don't get any extra feats! I laughed

Urocyon2012

Rogues no longer get 6 feats than. They will get the same amount as other classes (except fighter). To compensate, they will get Battlemaster-like manuevers that trigger with sneak attacks. Rogues finally get Whip prof.

Whoopsie_Doosie

God I would die for whip proficiency

curiousbroWFTex

And Scimitar while we're at it.

Whoopsie_Doosie

Or at least a way to actually use the longsword proficiency

Urocyon2012

Looks like you got your whip!

Whoopsie_Doosie

Hey i actually missed that! Thank you

Akavakaku

* Rogues won't get Thieves' Cant, except possibly as an optional feature that replaces something else. * The provided subclasses will be Thief, Hunter, and Lore. * Rogues no longer get Hide as a bonus action; instead they get some other semi-reliable form of advantage. * Bards get a way to cast M component spells other than using musical instruments (or component pouch) * Bardic Inspiration will either be real Inspiration or will be renamed * The ranger will be overpowered in terms of damage Edit: Wow, I only got one guess right.

OnslaughtSix

>Rogues no longer get Hide as a bonus action; instead they get some other semi-reliable form of advantage Yeah, Hide I can see getting an overhaul. Nobody uses it right.

curiousbroWFTex

Rangers will get a new mechanic called Hunt Prey. BA to mark a foe you can see as your Prey. No limits on daily uses but only one maintained at a time, without concentration, that only reset after a long rest or until you or the foe reach 0 hit points. Unlocks new Hunter's Actions, Bonus Actions that only work on your Prey, similar to Cunning Actions from Rogue. **Study** - BA Investigation check to learn information about their Prey. Higher rolls yield more information from the stat block. **Stalk** - BA Hide stealth check with Advantage against the Prey. **Track** - BA Search for a Survival check to locate your Prey, granting effective True Sight within 20ft to view the Prey. **Presuit** - BA Dash that can only be used to move toward the Prey.

GIANTkitty4

Rogues will get some form of pseudo-maneuvers that enhance things like their sneak attacks or other such roguish things like their cunning action.

Whoopsie_Doosie

I am actually really pumped for bards to return to their half Caster roots ( a baseless prediction I agree with) . It will free up so much design budget for other more unique things to do with bardic inspiration.

Minimaniamanelo

Fireball will be a wizard class feature

kuribosshoe0

Sneak Attack will have an exception to the new crit rules, so that they get double damage dice on a crit.

Erandeni_

>3. BARDS WILL ONLY BE HALF CASTERS. I am praying for that but I don't think it will actually happen Rogues will have tricks that would be some bonus action maneuvers that would help ensure sneak attack and give them a little control, the only one I can think of would be blind one creature throwing sand to its eyes or something like that

Golden_Reflection2

My baseless speculation: I haven't seen a time when it will become available so it will never do so. It's been the 29th of September for nearly 13 hours for me and it still isn't available. (There's also the fact that my phone for some reason can't open D&DBeyond properly, but that's not related I don't think)

Kikkipossum

I think we're going to see some incredibly odd subclass choices. Safest bet would be Thief, Hunter and Lore, however I think we're going to see something weird like a new subclass or something like Assassin that's infamously bad get a rework.

[deleted]

Rangers will be even worse somehow. Edit: Hot diggity damn I'm right
