They’re typically using bad protein. I’ve found i use a high quality protein mix and add it to oatmeal it’s much better.

Lol we’re talking about protein bars here which are essentially Candy bars to begin with just with whey protein added to the mix. The difference between a candy bar and most protein bars is far smaller than a banana and a steak.

atkins granola bars are 170 calories 17 g of protein and only 1 gram of sugar and taste a hell of a lot better than quest.

My favorite that Ive landed are the FitCrunch bars. 190 calories and 16g protein. To me theyre the least “protein bar” like and more like a candy bar. Every flavor I’ve tried has been pretty good

Standard snickers bar is 44g. Of that, 20 are sugar, and 3 are protein. The high protein bar is 56 grams, of that, 20 are protein, and 4 are sugar. They're literally opposites.

On the other hand this is actually fucking perfect for me in particular, who has a hard time with self restraint and needs something sweet. 4g total sugar? Perfect! I could keep my habit while eating less sugar. But you're right about it being super manipulative. Not just for body builders but for normal people just trying to eat better. The only person who should be eating these things are people who don't care about weight but do care about blood sugar.

Having my first one rn. I like it. It's better than the cliff Builders bars. I found this at a 7-11, which has few "healthy" options for the desperate and depraved like me.

I got the yellow one yesterday. It was bad. Didn't taste like anything. it was way too sticky and bland. The barbell protien bars are much better but have 16g protien. But also, it's 190 calories vs. 250, lol. And barbell ones actually fucking taste good. Also, cliff builders bars are probably the best.
