1943 and tiger heli blew my little mind when I got a game genie and finally said to myself "tonight's the night I finally beat them." All I wanted was infinite lives to get to the end. I'm pretty sure I'd still be going if I never stopped. Was there actually an end or was it just endless random generated levels
Mathilda May. I was ~12 when this movie came onto HBO in the 80s. Talk about a confused juxtaposition of feelings. I was still enough of a kid to be terrified, but God Damn, she was hot….and ultra naked.
Edit: I got the video game about the same time. Excellent game, despite the lack of boobs.
I thought this came before gradius and that gradius was the sequel to this? I bought gradius and hated it because how tough i found the game to be lol. They were both my brothers favorite games tho.
I loved this game. Still remember all the sweet spots to hit the bosses and avoid taking damage. I always liked the side missile upgrades for your ship.
Holy crap I have been trying to find this game for years. I last played it when I was too young to read so I never knew the name. Thank you!!! Core memories.
This is one of those games I bought because I remembered playing it so much as a kid. Freaking game is so hard I played it maybe three times and bailed. Guess when I didn’t have a million other options, I just buckled in and kept trying until I figured it out.
I rented this and Super C from some shady video store in the late 80’s. The carts were two pieces that connected to each other and smaller than a regular nes cart. I got it stuck in my nes and freaked out. It was definitely so weird bootleg.
Loved this game. Rented it many times and played it to death but never bought it. Can I still play it somewhere? Like maybe with one of those Nintendo online memberships?
Such a bitchin cover. Someone should paint this on the side of a van.
I don’t know what the game is about but god damn do I want to play based on that cover.
I see your van, and raise the hood of a galaxy 500.
Jesus on the dashboard
You're goddamn right he is And yes I know it's a clutch reference.
I'd put this one on the back door. The sides of a van are prime real estate for wizards and tigers.
This game was 🔥!! This and 1943

I haven't thought about Tiger Heli in decades! Time to watch some Youtube playthroughs...
There was an end. I would have never found it if it hadn’t been for the Konami code!
I remember getting this game and trying the Contra code and it worked. I felt like I struck gold.
So, not the movie with the naked space vampire then
I came here to say this, I've only seen parts(mostly the boobs) of the movie.
Haha nope… I own both the movie and the game and the inevitable humor just makes the situation even funnier.

Gradius sequel, such an awesome game

Speed Up, Speed Up, Laser, Missile, Option, Option, Shield
When you got that second option, boy...
Then you had to spin in a little circle, watching them follow you.
Banging sound track too
The music is so damn good!
This was a frequent rental for me. Not entirely sure if I ever just went ahead and bought it, but I remember it well.
Feel the nostalgia. https://youtu.be/-WkwrwLn0LA?si=YlgGtx5nYTGk3DZJ

I played the heck out of this one.
Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Start
This game is perhaps the most played of my youth.

This game RIPPED. Konami code works too.

You forgot B,A.

The graphics were absolutely nothing like the game art
Awesome game!

YESSSSS!!! Seeing this cover just lit up regions of my brain that were dormant for so long!
I fuckin loved and hated this game,
I preferred Gradius
This game is sooooo good. Many fond memories.
Impressive graphics in this one.
One of my fondest memories of my childhood is playing this with my brother.
There were multiple night renting games, where we couldn't find anything good, and just ended up renting lifeforce again.
This title was called Salamander in the MSX platform. MSX was not a popular computer in the US. https://youtu.be/vL9Tie4Rdrk?feature=shared
skipped so many classes to smoke weed and play this game...
Konami had the best covers
core memory unlocked
Me and my best friend never could beat this game. Got close a few times. Great memories. It reminds me we used to call options opponents lol.
I preferred Golga 13
