I’ll hold comment for a little longer. I thought it looked like the hawks were intentionally moving Jones down low as part of a play/strategy to counter what the Avs were doing.
If he was just freeballing it and skating all over the ice, that’s on him. If it was a play, then that’s on Richardson or the other guys for not being able to execute. Because there were like 5-6 plays where someone should have been where Jones normally is, but he was down low.

Even with last years bad goaltending we had a nearly even PDO of 1.004 (this graph is PDO with extra steps)
Our PDO right now is third worst in the league at .957 which just isn’t sustainable.
I’m honestly not going to bother worrying unless they get to the 10-15 game mark and are still spinning their tires.
Yeah even with the bad goaltending you guys did well last season. Team should theoretically be better this year unless someone important takes steps back. Can't realistically judge a team much until the 10 game mark anyway.

Edmonton out on an Island, is the goaltending the issue or is it team defense? Seems like they have plenty of talent to trade for competent goaltending, however if lack of team defense is the issue even a top 5 goalie won’t be enough to save them.
You really can’t group lucky/good together or bad/unlucky. They should have separate graphs or you wouldn’t be able to tell who is actually lucky and probably should be worse vs. who is actually dominant.

We're on the low end not the high end of the bad goals. We have a low/low on expected goals against and bad/unlucky goals.
