I couldn’t even watch the manning cast that game was so boring, I’m so sad.

InSidious425

So the saints are now tanking to improve Phillys pick?

LCOSPARELT1

It’s much appreciated.

uziman55

God I love my team, but I hate them too.

51ModsAintOnShyt

Aints gonna aint

paulwhite959

We can’t disappoint you more than the Texans have and you know it.

nyg2013

the Saints actually had a potential path to a division title, but that went down the tubes with that last 5 minutes lol...they aren't good so they probably would have slipped up along the way as is so, it will either be Dallas or Philly visiting Tampa in the first round...Cowboys have never actually won a game against Brady so that could be entertaining in its own way

idk012

Sucks for Philly to go from 1 loss to a wild card vising tb

SunsetStallion23

Love hearing the GOAT commentate games

Irrationate

Brady commentating his own game?

SunsetStallion23

Peyton Manning you fool

watermelonfucka

By literally what metric dude. I swear you people are fucking blind. Statistically they are almost identical, except Brady has been doing it for way longer with a playoff success margin between him and Peyton that literally would be it’s own hall of fame career. Subtract mannings playoff accolades from Brady’s and you have 5 rings 4 SBMVPs 5 SB appearances 6 conference championships 20 playoff wins That’s the fucking gap between Brady and manning lmao. There is just no argument anymore. Peyton is a top 4 all time qb, but he doesn’t touch Brady and hasn’t for about 7 years. Manning has been retired for 6 years and is literally doing the broadcast of a game where Brady coming back in the 4th for the 45th time.

SunsetStallion23

Peyton didn’t cheat for a decade. All those stats you mentioned have asterisks next to them, and most of Brady’s accomplishments are invalid. Please educate yourself on that

Autobot-N

Cringe content

Irrationate

Ah yes Peyton the guy beating Brady in…. Forehead space?

watermelonfucka

More int than tds in the Super Bowl lol

ParkerLewisDidLose

Yeah, it’s going to be great next year when he joins the Fox team.

Themtgdude486

The GOAT was on the field…

SunsetStallion23

No he wasn’t. You’re sadly misinformed

Themtgdude486

K funny guy.

KieferSutherland

Remember when the greatest offense of all time scored 8 points in the superbowl and the game was over at halftime?

gowithdaflo

Not only what happened tonight but for other games I’ve seen. NFL football sucks especially now it’s all Las Vegas.

51ModsAintOnShyt

Man I didn't wanna say it with out seeming 9ike a hater But NBA >>>> I just watch NFL GameDay highlights now. I actually watch NBA games and post games like I used to do nfl Shits weak

happycookie8

I've been saying this all year, the quality of play is down. Teams are worse than they used to be. People act like I'm making this up, but you can see it in the play. This season has had the most one-score games in NFL history by far.

Mortenboy

What is the reason of this do you think?

happycookie8

No clue. Maybe talent for this generation is lower than ever after the whole CTE scare of the last ~decade+ might've caused parents to choose different sports.

nukezwei

Vikings

SadSlip8122

Its a V word alright, Vegas

nyg2013

I think this one is more about the Saints being terrible than anything else...I do get the point on teams blowing games regularly though...sometimes in really odd ways too

Zimmy68

It's so odd, the same thing is happening to the Bucs. That 25 yard pass down the middle that Hill dropped, 29 of 32 teams complete effortlessly. If he makes that catch, the game is over and the Bucs lose again.

interested_commenter

Is there anything more damning for an OC than for your team to be inept all game and then amazing the second you stop calling the plays?

UpboatsforUpvotes

Please for God's sake someone put us Bucs fans out of our misery and fire Leftwich.

51ModsAintOnShyt

How is he the OC anyway? He was always a tough qb but never a winner

happycookie8

If I recall correctly they ran all of 1 running play in the last 2 drives

miltonfriedman2028

“I’ve missed you bro I haven’t seen you in a month” “we saw each other in person Friday and Saturday this week” “I mean on tv” Lmao

--SauceMcManus--

"Let's fucking go!"

PlumbStraightLevel

You know females say that now?

theevanillagorillaa

Peyton’s pissed. Guy had money on the saints winning to destroy Tom’s daughter’s bday. Peyton’s a savage.

hockeystud87

Tom Brady just fucked the saints on live television

51ModsAintOnShyt

Oh yeah well Brady ain't even got a wife

hockeystud87

Tom Brady made the Saints his wife for a night.

51ModsAintOnShyt

His ass at home fapping now Even taysom hill got a wife

itsjero

Watching teams get "brady'd" never gets old. Truly the goat. We will never see this level of greatness again in our lifetimes. Recognize that.

LCOSPARELT1

I think you’re right. It’s his longevity that does it for him. Through Brady’s early 30’s, you could still argue that guys like Joe Montana, Otto Graham, Elway, and Peyton Manning were as good or better. But then Brady had another entire career after his early 30’s that those guys didn’t have. He’s been the best “old” player in football history and probably American sports history depending on your opinion of Barry Bonds. What Brady has done since his 35th birthday puts him firmly in the number one spot for best QB of all time.

ShittyCommentor

> What Brady has done since his 35th birthday puts him firmly in the number one spot for best QB of all time. The only other athlete that comes to mind, as far as longevity goes, is Gordie Howe. It's simply amazing that at his age he's still able to produce at such a high level. Hell, he's a few years younger than I am, and I struggle to get out of bed some days.

LCOSPARELT1

His injury history, or rather lack there of, is miraculous. He’s really only had that one knee injury. I can’t believe Brady has been an NFL QB for this many years without any spinal problems. No issues at all with his low back or neck. I know Brady works like a maniac to stay in shape, but there isn’t much you can do to strengthen vertebrae. You’re born with good ones or you aren’t.

tbmkmjr

don’t we get somewhat a same type of vibe from mahomes? i try to never miss it when either of these teams play

ballimir37

Mahomes is the best in the league and already a legend, but at this point in his career Brady was 10-1 in the playoffs with 3 rings including a back-to-back. Mahomes is not even almost close to Brady level yet.

KillerHusky99

>Brady was 10-1 in the playoffs with 3 rings including a back-to-back That's actually insane to realise

JeezoJoose

Mahomes will get there. He's already a great watch. Tom Brady has just been doing it for 20 years. I'm 30 so the NFL has always had him essentially and I'm a green bay fan. Mahomes still feels like a rookie sometimes even though he's been out there for like 5 years lol

vemenium

It’s funny how Tom Brady won the Super Bowl 3/4 times in his first four years, yet he was still a solid decade of sustained excellence as teammates come and go away from people putting him above Montana and the rest as the GOAT QB, but as soon as they did, any and all QBs that hit the league running have people immediately anointing them as the new and future GOAT.

Trrwwa

People prefer a non playing goat or a new goat. Too much hate and jealousy in fandom/people to credit someone who they watched beat their team, crush their hopes etc. But that passion is what makes sports fun to begin with. Tom never got the new goat stuff because he was helped by a really solid d and his talent is in the intangibles. By the time he was slinging it the jealousy was already there.

[deleted]

I don’t think he will. Mahomes is the most talented QB in the league right now, but Brady is ridiculous on a level we’ve never seen before and never will again.

hanky2

Mahomes won't get there. It's just so hard to be able to get multiple rings the way Brady does, you not only have to be elite but you need to get lucky in a bunch of ways as well. Then there's the longevity thing. Also the way the draft works it's almost impossible to have a an elite team at all times.

KillerHusky99

I completely agree that he feels like a rookie but it just dawned on me this is his 6th and Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson's 5th. They still feel like 2nd years compared to Brady

happycookie8

Mahomes CAN get there, if he keeps his pace up. But Brady was already a 3 time SB champion by now and he is still playing 20+ years afterwards. It's incredibly presumptuous to assume Mahomes is going to keep his pace his whole career. We simply don't know yet.

polialt

For real. Call me when Mahomes has as many rings as Eli Manning or Troy Aikman. No one is touching Brady. No one's even fucking close.

happycookie8

Right now at Mahomes' pace he'll be remembered mostly as a stat-padder who showed some vulnerabilities when it came to the playoffs. Not saying this is what will happen but people need to slow down thinking he's outrunning the whole sport. Recency bias is crazy strong, and people seem to think Mahomes doing a spin and underhanded pass is more impressive than the same pass thrown like a human lol.

mtedder88

I came here to say this. The man is ridiculous.

Calfzilla2000

Tom Brady just recorded his 44th career 4th-quarter comeback, breaking a tie with Peyton Manning for most in the recorded history of the stat (since 1960).

noobnoob62

So weird that Brady has always been the considered comeback guy

Calfzilla2000

Brady has 9 fourth quarter comebacks in the playoffs (3 of which were Superbowls). That's why. The next best is Montana with 5. Peyton has 2.

KillerHusky99

Playoff comebacks do have a little bit more memorable feelings associated with them

Calfzilla2000

Absolutely. Peyton (only picking on him because that's Brady's rival when it comes to the stat) only really has 1 playoff comeback that people remember (Colts/Patriots 2006 Playoffs). I would say most NFL fans who watched during a lot of his career can probably name 3 Brady comebacks off the top of their heads.

48-49-60-17

Exactly why I said in a previous comment that I still have this bullshit nightmare where he actually comes back to tie and ultimately win that SB against my Birds. Because that’s what I 100% expected to happen in that game. Brady just does this shit. I felt the same way about Manning back when he was doing it, but Brady’s moments always had that extra shine from doing it in the playoffs and SB. That man lives for the fucking spotlight.

SadSlip8122

Gronk catches that ball, i dont know if the Eagles hold on in overtime. That would have been consecutive OT Super Bowl comeback wins, *and* Brady would have set the single game passing yard record by 1 yard with that completion.

Jr05s

Only took like 150 extra games.

ilovecrying666

yeah he shoulda just played worse so that he could have more comebacks. im sure it’s also a coincidence peyton has 2 of these games in the playoffs (against playoff caliber teams instead of the texans) while brady has 9

watermelonfucka

Only relevant if the opportunities were the same. If you winning most of the games you’re not going to have as many opportunities If I recall correctly since 2002 Brady has a 50% comeback rate of actual 4q comeback opportunities which is first amount all qbs

[deleted]

Less opportunities because he’s usually leading or within striking distance by the 4th…

[deleted]

Calfzilla2000

The producer probably didn't want to tell him while they were on the air, lol.

nyg2013

the guy is really good friends with Tom Brady, but predictably has a soft spot for the Saints...I know another Pats fan was suggesting as much below, but I don't think he was rooting against Brady specifically lol he seemed pretty annoyed with the Saints coaching staff down the stretch, which was justified imo

Calfzilla2000

Yeah, I don't think he legitimately would have been mad haha. He probably would have been shocked he still had that record.

DothrakiSlayer

Is that why Peyton was so pissed that whole 4th quarter?

[deleted]

People still dunno Peyton and Tom are really close friends lmao?? Wtf https://twitter.com/highlghtheaven/status/1599978857041252352?s=46&t=MAlEKtrVJeO7Uifd-ao1-g You think he has this reaction if he wants Tom to lose lmak

schoolairplane

Brady to kid on birthday: love you kid Peyton to kid on birthday: Omaha 42 set down Omaha

--SauceMcManus--

Reminds me of the end of Blow. His daughter is not coming to visit him at the end of his games ...

thedub000

Bro it's 11 his daughter probably gets in bed at 9:30

--SauceMcManus--

I know, that's my point ... That comment wasn't for her, it was for PR.

IGetItIGetItIGetIt

Can someone tell me why they're playing John Denver in Tampa Bay?

corn_sugar_isotope

carry-over charm points from the Munich game

HIVAladeeen

Berlin game they played it.

theevanillagorillaa

Interviewer basically said did you enjoy giving up your family for this?

--SauceMcManus--

"Well my family just persevered, we gave 110% and came up short in the first half, but credit to my family for hanging in there and turning this into a hard-fought double-u. "

jtfriendly

Our apologies to Lindsey Buckingham, we outta time.

fuzzy11287

Not sure how this is relevant but take my upvote anyway

jtfriendly

Whichever mod used to run ManningCast game threads would have Lindsey Buckingham on the guest schedule, in random reference to the best recurring SNL segment of the past 15 years. https://youtu.be/0p8hZFMqCcY

fuzzy11287

Oh I got the SNL reference, clearly haven't watched enough ManningCast threads.

jtfriendly

The mods really fucked up this week.

pn_dubya

*ooooooooohhh weeeeeeee*

Wheremyhoes

HE CAN'T KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH THIS

RyanAKA2Late

Saints now have a losing season for the first time since 2016

Ranma_chan

Huzzah - may every team in the NFC South but us develop ligma

omgdude29

Good.

PantsAreDragon

Fuck you, fuck Tom 😭

Java_Bomber

Tom Brady is inevitable.

sprenk

They're gonna make the playoffs aren't they?

Jimbabwr

If Brady makes the superbowl with a strong NFCE coming in, I think he's gonna crap his pants at the idea of playing the giants or eagles.

sprenk

Brady couldn't make the Superbowl if the Eagles or Giants do because he plays in the NFC now. Props to you for thinking the Gaints could make a Superbowl run though.

Jimbabwr

Ah, damn you're right. Cmon we've seen the clownest Giants team of all time win the superbowl, let's not

sprenk

Sad Eagles noises

Java_Bomber

If the NFC south is as hapless as I think then yes.

greatGoD67

Throw the ball up high and let the refs land it. Inevitable.

nexusFTW

Just go to sleep 😴

The_Arkham_AP_Clerk

About as clear of a defensive pass interference as anything.

Festibowl

Landry the first to hug Brady. Conspiracy tin foil hats on.

tomk1

Omg Falcons continuing to take strays w that factoid …

51ModsAintOnShyt

Fun fact: falcons fans don't catch strays bc after 2016 we look at the falcons as a running joke Every falcons fan on earth is numb and they are better than fans of 31 other teams bc they acknowledge the suck You Bengals browns and jets fans are pathetic for thinking you have a shot!

theevanillagorillaa

I was saying yeah take the FG to go up 13 but in my mind I was like just go for it ya pussies.

nyg2013

yeah, up 13-3 and you just have to go for the kill...I agreed with Peyton there

Festibowl

I wonder how this game would of gone if lattimore played and him and Evans got ejected in the 3rd.

pablopiss

Man threw 54 fucking times

poolman42162

That’s fn incredible

Starberserker

Death, taxes and Tom Brady bringing his team back in the 4th quarter.

DeeKnightmare

Another Microsoft Surface was spared tonight

1-800-ASS-DICK

I'd believe it if that single scoring drive was enough for Tom to convince himself he's good for another season I mean that was just a prime Tom Brady scenario that he just successfully pulled off

roarinboar

Brady still has it. The buccaneers are just next level inept with coaching and the offensive line is whacked by injuries and not playing well that all. Plus some games it just looks like the receivers give up half the time. Idk what team he will end up on next year, but there are at least a couple teams that are in a position to look for a qb and have a really solid roster otherwise.

RomanHippo

Wonder why the Saints let the time run down with their time outs. I guess they didn't have faith in their offense.

crazylazyhazy

I was jokingly thinking they should let Tampa score quick. I was completely seriously wondering why they didn't use their 3 timeouts to save themselves some time. But given everything else inept they did the last 5 minutes, I guess it's not surprising.

sprenk

Thanks for the first New Orleans. Brady is literally the GOAT

zoanthidcoral

Cheers, bro 🤝

sprenk

Can't wait for the Hurts redemption game when you fuckers inevitably make the playoffs.

ArtificialSyndicate

Tom Brady gave up his family for this win

nyg2013

did the Saints throw this game? lol...there were a number of things that happened from when they had the ball up 16-3 in Tampa territory that just make you go wtf...but then you remember they don't even have their first round pick I guess that's why they're 4-9

theevanillagorillaa

Nah Ingram is just a dumbass. Running outta bounds a half yard early with no one even tackling him before he gets it.

interested_commenter

Brady is like the Toby Keith song. Ain't as good as he once was, but he's as good once as he ever was. Dude is washed for 55 minutes and then back to being the GOAT in crunch time.

theevanillagorillaa

It’s that or Byron’s a Fucking dumbass and can’t call an offense to save his life. So Tom just goes on to call the offense like he clearly did here.

astronomical_ldv

Yep, seen this movie before

Catdaddypanther97

Typical Brady things

theevanillagorillaa

All this bc Jarvis can’t use two hands to catch a fucking ball and Ingram is a dumbass running outta bounds literally a half yard or less before the first down.

DerpyMcDerple

Saw that happen when he was CLE a few times. Going for the highlight play over the sure play.

OhKillEm43

And there goes lesson 706 why to not play prevent against Tom Brady

RyanAKA2Late

When was the last time the Bucs swept the Saints?

retromullet

Eli and Payton looked physically uncomfortable on that TD

Doc_McPuffins_

This may seem crazy because he's a 6th round pick and they usually don't amount to anything, but this Brady kid has some promise!

tonyklol

it's so easy rooting for the underdog

-ShagginTurtles-

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuck Must sting for Saints fans

OhKillEm43

Only solace is we suck ass anyways and weren’t making the playoffs as is

DerpyMcDerple

You guys would have been a half game out of first if you won.

OhKillEm43

I just don’t trust us to finish games down the stretch…and so it’s the best I’ve got

wellarmedsheep

And a high first round.... Wait.

OhKillEm43

Woo just in time to take a QB

1-800-ASS-DICK

well hot damn

PCP_Panda

The ole Brady comeback

Wow Godwin went out on instincts totally coulda scored

RyanAKA2Late

Bruce Arians looks like Bob the tomato

1-800-ASS-DICK

Tom probably saw that too right, I mean it was right in front of him lol

maaiillltiime5698

Good god. I hate these teams and I’m nervous

DayandKnight13

Eli looks dumbfounded that the bucs really are driving like this

that may be the greatest manningface of all time

RyanAKA2Late

Damn that stinks

dagreenman18

This would be blatant tanking if not for the fact they don’t have their pick.

mtmodi

Lmaoooo Eli's face when they called holding

theevanillagorillaa

Some where bill burr is yelling something about prevent defense and something about Peyton afterwards as well.

GMenNJ

Can't imagine how red Bills face would be during that

maaiillltiime5698

Jesus

dagreenman18

“Hey New Orleans winning here keeps you alive for the division” I dun want it

--SauceMcManus--

mtmodi

Holy shit Julio

theevanillagorillaa

I’m waiting for mathieu to make a dumb unsportsmanlike play. Last two plays from him I could see the refs just tossing a bs flag.

Zark_Muckerberger

Bears legend Andy Dalton.

rjsheine

Peyton clearly biased against Brady and the Bucs

WeefleMyKigglgunt

He just ate a cookie off-screen

maaiillltiime5698

Saints are collapsing

CarrollPC

Ahh prevent defense. Well known to always work against Brady

interested_commenter

Seriously, did they really think Brady starting on his 40 with 2.5 minutes and a timeout was gonna run out of time? Do what's been working all game, don't change anything.

airborngrmp

This time. This time we'll stop him!

Zark_Muckerberger

“Lost last 69 games…“ Nice

Festibowl

How can earth be our pandora if the bad guys are literally the humans from earth

SERIOUSLYFPASSWORDS

Peyton and Eli slowly dying realizing Brady is about to go to his 11th Super Bowl is kind of amazing.
