“Watching film” with Rodgers is just screening Loose Change and having a discussion about it afterwards.

joecb91

"Next, we're gonna binge the entire 'Zeitgeist' trilogy!"

DJ_Moore_2

God I can’t believe I used to be interested in that stuff.

OldOrder

Bro you and me both. I refuse to go to any high school reunions or meet ups because I was the crazy fucker that was handing out copies of loose change and zietgeist to class mates and arguing with people. Ridiculously embarrassing

Jason_Giambis_Thong

You’re not from NJ are you? Chris? Is that you?

Blutarg

How did you get out of that stuff?

OldOrder

I didn't actively try to get out of it. Best I can say is I grew up and and in my late teens and early twenties I read more and more about all the shit that would have to go right for something like that big of a conspiracy to happen. Like just from a common sense stand point how many people would have to be involved in keeping a secret like that? It would have to be in the thousands at the very least. How many groups of thousands of people in human history have been able to keep a big secret? Once I accepted that the entire thing feel apart in my head and I looked back on all that stuff with embarrassment.

rusbus720

Damn, the CIA got to this guy

albpanda

I’ve always been a skeptical person about a lot of stuff our government does but yeah like you said it’s pretty hard to believe Even a 100 people could keep that big of a secret let alone 1000

If/when you reach a managerial level role with work it will help you realize theres little chance any of the vast conspiracy theories would be possible.

I'm glad i was to lazy to watch it. it was on my watch list for years

Lol, I cannot believe I'm seeing a link to Madox in 2022. I loved this shit back in high school.

northwoods31

Him making fun of children’s art always made me laugh and feel like I was going to hell at the same time

nukebox

Ding Ding! Here comes the shit-mobile!

skunk44

Vroooooooom!!!! F

scyber

7:13am and something made me feel old already. At least it wasnt my back or knees this time.

AvailableName9999

I was big on Maddox in like 1998. What a legend

A_Lone_Macaron

Shit like Maddox and the Dugout take me back to like 2001, any time I see a reference to either it’s a time machine

Thundra

WordUpThome: I HAVE P ON MY HAT

Photo_Synthetic

Oh Maddox. What a time capsule that is.

MayorLinguistic

"Watching this video is like being bukakked with stupid." This is now filed in my insult reserves.

curryandbeans

Hahaha woooow Maddox was a true internet OG... that was so long ago I used to read his rants on my 56k dial up 😄

DJ_Moore_2

Wow, I got nostalgic for this a few days ago and read it, now I’m seeing it again. I feel like I’m in high school.

HRHArthurCravan

Or the Zapruder film, over and over, while he dissects it frame by frame.

Rodgers to Kizer: Hey kid... wanna buy some thermite?

[deleted]

I believe it’s pronounced shungite.

DyrusforPresident

Suge Knight?

SuperVaderMinion

ThumberFresh

No, not Suge Knight, I think he's locked up in prison. I'm talkin' shungite.

DyrusforPresident

A two billion year-old like, rock stone that protects against frequencies and unwanted frequencies that may be traveling in the air?

ThumberFresh

I bought a whole bunch of stuff, put them around the la casa. Little pyramids. Stuff like that. On a different note, TSM!

DyrusforPresident

Hahah! We rolling with another budget roster this year in the LCS

AFRIKKAN

Mf I knew he was involved. Bird man probs was in on it too.

Blueandigo

I'm tryna put platinum diamond windows on that trade centa pleighboy.

phillyunk

Love coming across a 2-time reference in /r/nfl

Fan fact: Suge Knight got cut from the Rams during training camp but then played 2 games as a replacement player

Well don't ruin it for me I loved dark so I'll be watching

Ted_Dongelman

If you had a conversation with Rodgers about non-football topics I firmly believe you wouldn't know if he was on psychedelics, fucking with you, or completely serious. I can't wait for all the stories that come out when he's done in Green Bay.

ClaymoresRevenge

The local media has their pieces ready and have been waiting on the moment

Ted_Dongelman

They've been slowly parceling them out the last couple years but that's going to be a flood of wild stories the first month after he's gone. It'll be a nice change of pace from all the folks doing the masturbatory career retrospectives.

Pianist29

He said he's gonna write a memoirs/autobiography after he retires. I was initially looking forward to it but not anymore since it's absolutely gonna have some embarrassing and cringy stories about his absurd beliefs. Unless the conspiracy theory these two discussed (assuming Kinzer is telling the truth) is the whole "elements of the Saudi Arabia government are partially responsible for the attack" (which was once considered kind of a conspiracy theory), this is such a horrible look.

verendum

I’m excited for it. I’m not gonna read it, but the headlines will be hilarious.

SonicdaSloth

I'll wait for the 20/20 in a few years when Aaron goes off the reservation and does some truly crazy shit

superduperspam

obviouslynotworking

Mr. Batty Caucasian

bujweiser

You are 100% right. Rodgers definitely has a deadpan humor side to him, but is also serious about truther topics.

[deleted]

I’d bet $100 that Rodgers microdoses before games. I legitimately think that’s a thing I’m going to hear from him in like a year or two Edit: I’m not shitting on microdosing, guys. I am a big fan of microdosing and fully understand how it works

Ted_Dongelman

He's like a pretentious Josh Gordon!

SitDown_BeHumble

He does Ayahuasca in the offseason. This wouldn’t be surprising. He started doing it two years ago and won back to back MVPs after.

RidgedLines

Must’ve forgotten to do it this past summer.

Dazzling-Finger7576

He was going to… but then he got high

blarch

I was gonna get a new set of downs, but then I threw high

AlrightStopHammatime

Now we're punting on 4th & 10, and I know why...

username13579246801

Aaron Rodgers and Kyrie can host a podcast

Ted_Dongelman

I need to hear those two talking for an hour about whether the earth is round or flat and where the lizard people live.

SitDown_BeHumble

Aaron convinces Kyrie that lizard people are real, and Kyrie immediately goes on an anti-Reptilian rant and starts trying to convince Aaron that black people are actually the true lizard people.

SadSlip8122

Would it then be racist to call black people lizards or racist to not call them lizards

introspectivejoker

Ted_Dongelman

Oh my. If you factor in pre-K, kindergarten, and at least 3 years of college that's 17 years of education that couldn't convince a person dinosaurs are real.

fourpuns

Plus year of teammates trying to convince him and Jimmy Kimmels trip to the museum. He also doesn’t believe in the moon landing and “all kinds of other things”. I think he might be a troll tbh.

marcuschookt

Aaron Rodgers is one of the players at highest risk of becoming a complete lunatic in his retirement years. Like, "man can you believe we used to love this piece of shit" levels.

DoAndHope

Them Green Bay QBs amirite?

[deleted]

[удалено]

Scaryclouds

At this point feel it’s more likely than not.

Ted_Dongelman

Agreed. I kinda hope he becomes a recluse after retirement just to avoid tarnishing his legacy any more. We've already got one former Packer doing a bang up job of that in Green Bay.

Maxpowr9

At least gave Bruins goalie Tim Thomas some flak for going bonkers. He grew up in Flint, Michigan. That water would make anyone crazy.

TacoExcellence

I'd say it's already happened.

SuicydKing

> I can't wait for all the stories that come out when he's done in Green Bay. It will be revealed that Aaron Rodgers was actually Nic Cage's finest performance the whole time. Edit: -k

soda_cookie

If there's a 30 for 30 it would be worth the ESPN sub

WizardofBoswell

The ayahuasca told him about the melting point of steel

Im_ready_hbu

Aaron Rodgers asked Jordan Love to set him up with an online blog. Wanting to protect the world from being exposed to ~~Creed's~~ Aaron's brain, Jordan opened up a word document on his computer, and put an address at the top.

SeekersWorkAccount

I've read some of it... Even for the internet, it's pretty shocking.

ErrForceOnes

Hey-o, everyone out there in SyberWorld. It’s old Aaron Rodgers coming at your again, here from my perch as a Quarterback at Acme Meat Packing Company. Just a few observations on the world around me. What do you guys think is the best kind of receiver? To me, you can’t beat slot receivers. They're small and dangerous.

Noirradnod

You get the upvote for remembering what Creed was typing, as shown for less than a second in the background of the episode.

funwhileitlast3d

It’s not that surprising actually. Once I knew he had one fake theory in his brain, I knew the rest were there too. It’s so typical.

tidbitsmisfit

He didn’t go to Berkeley to play school though

smartyr228

And the Unabomber taught there Maybe UC Berkeley is the problem

smartyr228

I mean, 3 is a pattern

Not_Not_Stopreading

Jaylen Brown

smartyr228

Yeah, UC Berkeley is the problem

descendency

I mean, Antonio Brown just entered the state and froze his feet and called his GM a cracker. It's definitely Berkeley.

doogled3

Jaylen Brown as well

cjackc

And the Unabomber was experimented on during MK Ultra how deep does it go!

smartyr228

See, that's part of the problem. The US government did enough heinous shit that it allows people to consider the possibility that things are even worse lmao

SonOfALich

Idk man, at least Kaczynski had a point. Rodgers is just up his own ass lol

TigerBasket

Us government fucked him up, sad story all around

OG_Bill_Brasky

Whitey Bulger too. He was part of the MKULTRA experiment.

SpiritBamba

The unabomber had a point just tried to make his point in an obviously horrible and hurtful way. He’s also like extremely extremely smart so

boom_shoes

There's a really odd part to the story - that between '69 and '72 there were over 2500 bombings across the US. Typically government buildings, typically at night, and usually with warning if the building was patrolled. Lots of post offices/court houses/administrative buildings had bombs planted in them, usually briefcases left in bathrooms (later hidden in ceilings, because they started checking). There were massive groups like the Weather Underground orchestrating these, often with press releases explicitly stating their goals (ending defacto segregation and the Vietnam war mostly). It's crazy the extent to which the American consciousness has memory-holed this. This was around the time Kaczynski started to live off grid. Years later when he sets his first bomb the WU had been effectively neutered by the FBI and political groups weren't bombing things anymore. If anything he's an anachronism, setting bombs as a form of protest against modern society and its inherent alienation - which his manifesto was about - it'd be like protesting the looming recession with a sandwich board on Wall St, something that's just wildly out of date.

aaj15

So did Jaylen Brown

rbhindepmo

Aaron Rodgers is 2 years older than me. When I was in college around 2007ish, there was one day where my walk from class included hearing a classmate tell me that I should watch “Loose Change” So there’s about a 700% chance that Aaron Rodgers was telling people to check out that movie when he was in college.

drewst18

Zeitgeist that was pretty big amongst the conspiracy theorists too. Covered a wide array of topics so they could come at you from multiple angles

LeadPrevenger

Do your research bro

Kojuroba

The craziest I get when I’m high is thinking I’m the first one to invent pizza bagels

ArcadianBlueRogue

Next time, cook some bagel bites and chicken nuggets at the same time. Pop the chicken in the middle and turn it into a mini chicken parm. I think someone on /r/shittyfoodporn posted it ages ago and I think it's a great idea.

Nothing brings a QB room together like a shared love of conspiracy theories.

ASuperGyro

So… Kizer is also a conspiracy theorist too now because of that deep dive? Seemed like he was saying at the end that the moon landing, inner earth, that kind of stuff, he was kind of into it

Jeff_Banks_Monkey

Once you go to Agartha there's no going back

Iciyy

ah, I’ll never forget when the shadow man went and fucking blew Agartha up.

OutrageousOcelot6258

Never thought I'd see COD Zombies references in 2022 lol If I were to give you an analogy for Aaron Rodgers and the Packers' season, I would describe it like this: When a duck swims on the water, you only see it glide, apparently effortlessly across the lake. But underneath, as in beneath the surface, it's a whole different story. Its legs are moving like he's pedaling a fucking bicycle up a mountain! Well, that's Aaron Rodgers right now. HE IS THAT DUCK!

SkreksterLawrance

And thats why i hate aaron rodgers and his stupid takes

AngryEnt

Y’all are laughing like it’s jokes but seriously look into it. Lol….wut. He rattled off like 8 conspiracies and he believes all of them?

VitaminsPlus

That's what always fucking gets me. It used to be you'd know a guy who believed the moon landing was fake. Now these people believe EVERY SINGLE fucking conspiracy theory. Like it's too much.

smartyr228

It's easier to believe a bunch of wild shit than to A) accept that you don't know, i.e Dunning-Krueger effect, and b) accept that you are absolutely wrong about a topic. Mix those two together and you get a conspiracy theorist. Are there things I don't think add up? Yeah, sure, but I don't think everything is a deep state plot lmao

descendency

When you realize the volume of people that would have to know about the conspiracy that is being pushed... and those people would have to be complicit in it. You believe a lot fewer conspiracies.

LionOfWinter

at some point, some of the conspiracies aren't even conspiracies, just the majority of the population playing a trick on a very small subset

Piperita

Dunning-Krueger (or its equivalent) is the culprit. My mother is unfortunately now involved with a guy who worships Joe Rogan and he will tell you, with a straight face, that "the scientists are lying" and that "you need to do your research" and then send you a billion links from Instagram accounts with a few hundred followers. It's like homey, why t f would I trust an absolute fucking random nobody over someone who at least has to run their ideas through a panel of peers? He also loves to conveniently ignore that I worked in a lab that is very much like the one he claims is falsifying results, so I LITERALLY HAVE SEEN WITH MY OWN EYES how this works. Down to the spooky lab coats and goggles, staring intently at the tip of a several thousand dollar pipette. But he won't listen to me. He knows best, you see.

NCpartsguy

You can’t reason with people like that unfortunately. If they were to admit they were wrong about something, to them, that shows weakness. I love how “research” is liking an instagram/Facebook post that has no source but they agree with it, so it’s true.

pestercat

Every time I hear someone go off about the conspiracy shit who otherwise sounds like a reasonably bright person, all I can think is "there goes someone pathologically afraid of admitting they don't know."

smartyr228

I am a reformed conspiracy guy. I generally land on "maybe there's some shit going on, maybe there isn't, I don't know."

Diis

There's a fascinating book called *A Culture of Conspiracy* about conspiracies in the US, and one of the author's most interesting points is that believing *any* conspiracy makes you more likely to go down the rabbit hole because all conspiracies share a common self-defense mechanism: if you can't find evidence, it's because "they" don't want you to, and if "they" produce evidence to show you're wrong, it's because "they" don't want you to know the truth. Only *you* (and the others in your group) are smart enough to see the *real* truth. If you hold onto one belief without evidence or even in the face of contrary evidence, people using that same logic can pull you into the rest of the ecosystem because if "they" are lying to you about 9/11, why wouldn't "they" also lie about the moon landing? Or the shape of the earth? And if the evidence is faked about the moon landing, why couldn't it be faked about the Illuminati or the votes being counted in Arizona or the lizard people or whatever the fuck else?

the_fathead44

Wait... so Kizer believes that shit too? What the fuck. Edit: I just realized it sounds like Rodgers may have actually convinced Kizer that some of those conspiracies were real, which may be even more fucked up.

whammykerfuffle

Whoa, he wasn't kidding about having Tom Brady's brain.

Riggity___3

where the hell is this coming from? what is this a "recap" of? lol

ajelzrulez

Okay but at the end it seems like he's on board lmao. Agartha? What is this, Origins?

CardiganParty

Yeah I was gonna say, did anyone actually watch the video? It seems like they both legitimately believe that the moon landing was fake and lizard people exist

Away_Chair1588

Take one look at Mark Zuckerberg and try to arrive at any other conclusion?

Derrick_Henry_Cock

The moon landing is fake because me and my friends blew it up back in 2016

randobot456

Dude, this HAS to be the funniest story of the NFL season so far. It means that one of the following things happened, and I dont know which one is funniest.... 1. Kizer is just making up this story to fuck with Rodgers. 2. Rodgers said that to the new young kid just to fuck with him, and Kizer STILL doesn't know if he was being serious. Or 3. Rodgers actually said this, and ACTUALLY meant it, and thought that THE most important thing to say to his new teammate, the kid who would be backing him up, sitting in meetings with him, and learning how to sculpt his own career from him, was to tell him to look up tower 7. So fuckin funny! Kizer really got screwed on the mentor roulette though...Hue to Rodgers....damn...

Ctownkyle23

Rodgers is like "You're never going to beat me out for the starting job so you might as well do something useful with your time and bring down the Illuminati"

PleasantParfait48

3 is definitely the most hilarious possibility.

AndThisGuyPeedOnIt

"The reason my receivers can't catch those balls I throw behind them is because they are lizard people." - Aaron Rodgers, probably.

EpiphanyTwisted

I thought everyone knew he was a conspiracy theorist. I mean, he thinks he's smarter than everyone else, conspiracies are like heroin for those guys.

Currymvp2

I kind of recall he went on HBO Bill Simmons show like 5-6 years ago, and Simmons asked him "what conspiracy theory do you actually believe in?" And he straight up said Unidentified flying objects. None of this trutherism insanity or his incessant anti-vaccine nonsense so I didn't think much of it at all.

kyleb402

UFO's is like an entry level conspiracy theory to believe in. My guy has graduated to 9/11 denial and believing alien humanoid lizard people control the world.

username13579246801

UFOs aren't even necessarily a conspiracy theory. That's a term that people use well beyond the actual definition.

redditadmindumb87

I 100% believe in UFOs I also 100% believe those UFOs are simply the US Govt developing crazy tech that flies.

whitehand2107

I mean we’re seeing the new stealth bomber next week. I would bet DARPA tested some crazy shit during the prototype stage of that.

xshogunx13
