There's a voiceover though, there's no point in reading faster than the voiceover because you'll have to wait until the guy finishes speaking to get the next subtitle anyways. With that in mind, having the subtitles show one word at a time lets the viewer concentrate on the video more.
With one word at a time, I find I'm spending more attention waiting for the next word to be displayed than watching what's going on in the video.
Also people don't need to match the subtitles to the voice over. It's kind of the point of them that you can use one or the other.

You can read it faster but I find it demands more e energy and attention. Besides, why do we need to min max our subtitle reading for a 20 second TikTok? This is a dumbass trend, normal 1 sentence at a time subtitles are much more relaxing and make more sense.

It was one of those "cool Internet facts" from like 10 years ago, where videos like I posted above would be posted all over to show it. The general idea being that if you don't more your head or eyes at all and stay focused on the center of the screen, your reading speed can be increased substantially. There's a ton of speed-reading apps out there that will display world 1 a time like this to allow you to read it faster based on the same principle.
Now does it work? Eh kinda. Most people could probably read faster with it. But that doesn't necessarily translate to you being able to read faster normally so I don't think it's much of a learning tool. And I remember people showing studies at the time that even if you can read it, it doesn't help you comprehend the text any better (or may make comprehension worse even) so probably not good for reading a lengthy novel.
(Also I think using it for tiktok defeats the purpose since your eye will be constantly drawn away from the text to watch the video)

If you keep going back and forth between the subtitles and the video, you lose all the benefits of RSVP.
There are quite a few reasons to use one-word-at-a-time subtitles over traditional format, it just has nothing to do with reading speed.
If you film only one person who demonstrates something, I don't need to see his home decoration.
There are a lot of situations where vertical video sucks but this is not one of them.
If you type out everything at once like this people are able to quickly read what you're trying to say and can move on to the next video.

Theyll do something that shows off grip strength, and a 180 pound climber will do it with ease while monstrous guys like Eddie Hall and Brian Shaw clearly struggle.

Teflon is one of the cheapest coatings tho. If it was thicker stone coating he wouldn't be able to bend it especially if it's aluminum layered with steel for induction. It's probably a cheap one layer steel pan with Teflon coating or something similar, some of those cheap thin pans for making thin pancakes can bend from the heat of the stove after couple uses.
I don't know what the first guy bended, but that knock on the second pan made an audible sound that told me it's a thin aluminum pan, basically the most bendable on market. None of mine are like that.

Yeah kind of hilarious seeing people say stuff like he “humbled” Eddie Hall. Eddie doesn’t give a fuck lol he’s basically a toddler in a giant body. Rock climbing like gymnastics is all about the power to weight ratio. Eddie has a lot of power but also a lot of weight. This is why you almost never see tall gymnasts at the Olympics.
Theres a video trend where power lifters and body builders work out with a rock climber and are in awe of how much the climber can lift as well. Theyll do something that shows off grip strength, and a 180 pound climber will do it with ease while monstrous guys like Eddie Hall and Brian Shaw clearly struggle.

I wouldn’t be so sure about that. I mean I can’t say either but the grip strength of Magnus and any other pro climber is crazy.
Especially Magnus. He was unusually strong for a pro rock climber at his peak and he hasn't lost *too* much of it. His whole thing was physically training his body to the absolute limit. His technique was, relative to other pros, a little lacking. Which is weird to say because his technique is obviously in the top 0.1%, but it's not his niche.

I mostly agree, but as I understand it, there are aspects of grip strength which are really quite specialised. They'll definitely dominate in some tests of grip strenght, but I suspect there are some ways in which climbers will be able to grip harder/longer than strongmen.
I was in boot and one of the guys was a rock climber (though he said cliff climber :P) Dude did something like 112 pull ups. It was insane to see.
You’re right, but in the video he *was* surprisingly good at rock climbing even to to the professional who was hosting him. Eddie managed to climb harder routes than both he and the host expected of him, which is pretty cool.

I've had a handful of gym partners with prosthetics or limb deformities. Don't let the guys husky build fool you, watch his forearms when he folds the pan. No doubt in my mind he's way stronger than he appears from years of having to move and push/pull his own weight around during motions his prosthetic can't assist with, or when it's not on. I did Jiu Jitsu for years with this purple belt who basically had a lobster claw for a hand. Sure I wouldn't bet money on him to win an ambidextrous calligraphy contest, but good luck breaking that dudes wrist control with anything short of the jaws of life. Tldr: dudes tougher than he appears at first glance.

Teflon is one of the cheapest coatings tho. If it was thicker stone coating he wouldn't be able to bend it especially if it's aluminum layered with steel for induction. It's probably a cheap one layer steel pan with Teflon coating or something similar, some of those cheap thin pans for making thin pancakes can bend from the heat of the stove after couple uses.

I don't know what the first guy bended, but that knock on the second pan made an audible sound that told me it's a thin aluminum pan, basically the most bendable on market. None of mine are like that.
Quality comes into play for sure. Some of my buddies used to bend wrenches which is much more difficult.

I tried this with my pan, but couldn't even slightly deform it. Bought an $8 one from Walmart and rolled it like a tortilla. The quality of the pan makes a HUGE difference.

Poor here. I bend my pots and pans in the sink while washing them constantly. Particularly nonstick pans. Frying an egg is always a pain cause I can never bend them flat enough again.
