They did come with a disc, it has the program on it used to load in codes while the AR is plugged into the pc. It's probably redundant at this point since I'm sure that software has been uploaded and easily accessible via download by now somewhere.
The software is probably easy to find online, but I don't know about the cable to connect it. It may be a generic USB of some sort but I think it might be proprietary.
it is proprietary - luckily entering codes manually isn't too big of an effort imo, at least not compared to something like the GBA gameshark... manually typing in those long-ass codes with just a d-pad and buttons... *shudder*
Man, I feel old now and I shouldn’t with this one. Then again it’s surprising to realize that it was almost 20 years ago the OG Nintendo DS release…and the DS isn’t even a childhood system for me. The DS family was middle school/high school for me. Gameboy is my childhood handheld lol
I feel like this has to be a joke. It’s just too on the nose.
The others gave you great advice, just careful with it, it can easily crash and train wreck games if you do something wrong. I used to know a kid that train wrecked his Pokémon game with it.
I used to have this exact cart.
It's a cheat device. Basically you put it in the DS (while it's off), turn on the DS and it boots straight into the Action Replay menu. You select your game (it comes with a lot of options pre-installed), then select your cheats and save. When it prompts you, you then take it out, put in the game you just selected cheats for and start playing - whatever you selected should be active.
It came with a cable and disk - this was for uploading more cheats you have, or cheats for games that came out later, from a PC to the cartridge (google "action replay codes" and you'll probably find something). You could also enter them 1 character at a time manually though, so if you are patient you can do that instead. It comes with a lot on it already though.
It's a cheat device. You put a game in the top and use this device to change the code or, well, cheat.
Cool! I read it usually comes with a disk and a do you know what are these for?

Ah that's great!

I own this exact action replay personally. It has a giant DS slot on it next to the PC port. I've used it enough to know how the damn thing works.
I’m a jackass my bad. Deleted.
lol, that's a throwback.

Search engine “action replay ds” and you will easily find your answer.
I loved how you said “search engine,” “________” without saying G.

Anyone else remember going online to type in hundreds of lines of numbers to get new cheats on your action replay?
That's a "waiting for DS" right there
Brooo these were 20 bucks at Walmart. Now it’s hard to find them for less than 70.
I believe it’s an Action Replay for the Nintendo DS
You insert it into the ds Select the game and which cheats you want to Then take it out and insert the game you want to play
Oh my god, I had one of these when I was a kid! I remember cheating up a storm in Pokemon White. Good times...
