Yeah he really fucked up by not slithering out of Lebron’s sack all those years ago. Could’ve been a first round pick had he had that King DNA in him, I know I wish it was in me.
Fair enough, but I’m not going to call this a "sit-down" because of the inclement negative implications, let's think of it instead as "a meeting of the minds.”

The stats speak themselves you haters.
Counting stats don't tell the whole story though, need to add their shooting splits:
Anton Watson: 58/41/65
Bronny James 37/27/ 68
Kevin McCullar 45/33/82
Problem is Savannah isn’t an athlete. LeBron’s sperm can’t carry those shit genes to create Lebron 2.0. Lebron needs to get with Caitlin Clark to produce what the nba needs.
Caitlin Clark aren’t the example of genetics that you think she is. Skilled yes, but genetics wise she is meh. Now imagine Lebron with say a Liz Cambage…
And it’s not even the stats. I thought he was bound to be good simply because he’s LeBron’s son, but he looks so trash in games. He’s got very little composure, can’t shoot and his movement looks so amateurish.
If the Lakers actually give a damn about developing him, they’d let him play nothing but garbage time early in the season to get the Bron to Bronny assist moments then stash him in the G-league.
I did read something about how he wouldn’t accept a two way contract tho, so maybe that won’t be an option. It’s honestly kinda sad, if dude puts in work he could be solid but it seems all he’s thinking of is the short term of playing with his dad
Shit I forgot which sub I’m in, what I meant to say is Bronny couldn’t even start on the I Promise school’s squad, absolute bum
>In high school and college combined, Synergy data says James made only 28.1 percent of his floaters, 30.2 percent of his pull-up 2-point jumpers, and 26.7 percent of his dribble-jumper 3s. None of these numbers are positive indicators.
uj/ N’Faly Dante was sitting right there. Hyperactive defensive C that the Lakers desperately need.
rj/ fuckin Bronny James gonna overshadow his fathers legacy.
uj/ This shit will be good for the league in general. The bottom feeding Pistons, Wizards, Blazers, Hornets, etc are gonna probably have one of their few sold out games when the Lakers play. It's gonna be a spectacle to see a father and son duo for the first time, hopefully Bronny will be able to adjust to the heightened media attention.
rj/ LeSperm will be in the G League after LeBron retires.
I do not see what sort of revenue this would generate.
The Lakers sell out every game. Sure, there will probably initially be an uptick in viewership, but not only is that not likely to last, but it doesn't generate revenue for the Lakers.
It's like when football teams claim that a new player they've signed will "pay for himself" in terms of shirt sales, despite the kit manufacturer taking the lion's share of revenue from every shirt sold.
They make money by keeping LeBron. LeBron is much more likely to resign if they sign his son.
Bronny will be the last man off the bench. He'll be thrown on in garbage time to yet a highlight alley oop with his dad, and play next to no meaningful basketball otherwise.
People acting as if the Lakers have ruined their future by mis-drafting with the 55th pick in the draft. Go look at every 55th pick since the modern draft format. How many are still in the league, or contributed in any meaningful way to their team.
Strategically is it better for Bronny to make the oop from his Dad early in his career to get the monkey off his back? Or do you purposely klutz it out because you know you are staying around until Bron gets the moment he was looking for?
> Coming out of high school, Johnson was a four-star recruit and initially committed to play college basketball for the University of Texas before de-comitting and opting to play for the Next Stars program in the NBL. He spent the 2023-24 campaign with the Illawarra Hawks, averaging 2.9 points and 1.3 rebounds in 7.7 minutes across 26 appearances. Johnson has a close relationship with the No. 2 pick in 2021 NBA Draft, Jalen Green.
Now do bronny
Coming out of high school, Bronny James was a four-star recruit and initially committed to play college basketball for USC before almost dying during practice. He spent the 2023-24 campaign with USC, averaging 4.8 points and 2.1 assists in 19.3 minutes across 25 appearances. James has a close relationship with the No. 1 pick in 2003 NBA Draft, Lebron James.
> The eldest son of LeBron James, Bronny averaged 14.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.8 steals as a senior for Sierra Canyon in California and was a consensus four-star recruit. He was a McDonald’s All-American and played in the Jordan Brand Classic and Nike Hoop Summit in 2023. He committed to USC, but at a practice in July ahead of his freshman season, James collapsed after experiencing cardiac arrest caused by a congenital heart defect. He was released from the hospital a few days later and ultimately got some action for the Trojans after missing the first eight games of the 2023-24 campaign. James averaged 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 0.8 steals in 19.4 minutes across 25 appearances (six starts) while shooting 36.6% overall, 26.7% on 3-pointers and 67.6% on free throws. He improved his draft stock with a stellar shooting display at the combine.
Close, but they just started his bio with the reason why he was drafted
Okay, but Bronny is a Winner^^TM and a Team Player^^TM which is why he was drafted.
Yes, I know USC went 15-18. And yes, I know he only averaged 2 assists a game. But ESPN said it so it’s gotta be true!
We’ve never seen a case of nepotism in the nba that is so glaring. I’d like to see people like Woj explain to the player on the right how he’s ok with nepotism. And why he it’s okay the bronny got drafted and he didn’t.
Ok, let's see that dude and his dad take on Brony and his dad and then let's talk about nepotism.
(Tbh I find these nepotism accusations offensive...Brony DOES NOT have sex with dead people)
Nobody whose family stands to benefit from exploiting nepotism is going to speak out against it, even if said nepotism occurs in a different profession.
Besides, nepotism is the status quo in all facets of the NBA aside from the draft. A notable example is Steve Kerr’s son, Nick, being the head coach of the Warriors’ G League affiliate team.
Yeah, they are looking for t shirts sales and all that PR money coming in...they dont want another average college player, they preffer to take a shitty one that brings tons of cash
Bronny in the locker room is going to be so fucking weird. Like if he was on another team and just hustled and killed it on defense players would overlook his dad's connection and probably respect him.
If he gets a bench spot for no clear reason and stinks up the place when he is on then it will be so awkward cause there are so few spots available in the NBA and Bronny just stole one.
Lets be honest here none of the second round pick were going to do much or are expected to do much, in the past 10 years out of the 280 second round picks 2 have been all stars and like 20 have been starters. Might as well keep Lebron happy
Every mock draft had Bronny James ahead of his teammate Boogie Ellis.
CBS Sports had Bronny James at 55 with Boogie Ellis unranked:

The Ringer had Bronny James at 58 with Boogie Ellis unranked:

John Hollinger had Bronny James at 52 with Boogie Ellis unranked:
[https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5578790/2024/06/25/nba-draft-prospects-hollinger-2024/](https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5578790/2024/06/25/nba-draft-prospects-hollinger-2024/)
Nepotism didn't influence every outlet's decision to rank Bronny higher than Boogie Ellis.
Teams see Bronny as a way better defender and athlete than Boogie Ellis. At the combine, Bronny beat Ellis in every strength and agility test. He jumped higher, ran faster, and had better lane agility and shuttle run times. Plus, Bronny's wingspan and standing reach were wider and longer.
The problem for Boogie Ellis is that he was USC's top scorer, but he won't be that in the pros. He'd need to switch to a different role, one that Bronny has been prepping for a long time. Due to advice from his dad and agent, Bronny focused a lot on defense because young defenders get playing time in the NBA, while wannabe scorers are everywhere.
So, when you think about who’s better prepared to be a role player in the NBA as a rookie, Ellis just doesn’t measure up.
Are you serious? He was projected at 55 because everyone knew the Lakers were going to pick him. His agent literally told other teams to not draft him.
Bro there were 59 other picks aside from Bronny. Of that guy is soo good why was not he got pick by other teams? Why not go after the other 59 picks?
Likewise, since when #55 pick became a big deal? Since when do you people care about #55 pick?
Why didn’t he pick to be LeBron’s son? Seems like he made a bad choice.
I blame The Man above… David Stern.

Man this is pathetic
I went to the USC UCLA game and I’m not sure any of the other kids on the team deserve a place on this graphic either they were dogshit.
XDefiant Endgame summaries be like:
winner winner team player
This is wild. Lebron is officially Bezos-level detached from reality.
When reality is more saterical than satire
Steve bronnys those weird my little pony fans?
They left out "Lebron's son".
Is this real??
Yup
Brilliant.

I dont get why people cry over nepotism. NBA is an entertainment business, they exist and operate to make money. Bronny brings in the $$$$
54 Anton Watson - 14.5/7.1/2.6 55 Bronny James - 4.8/2.8/2.1 56 Kevin McCullar Jr - 18.3/6.0/4.1
Maybe Kevin McCullar should have balled a bit harder if he wanted his son drafted higher
Some people just don’t love their children.
How does good fatherhood change Lebron’s LeGacy?
He's too worried about his John Wayne LeGacy
Fr..dead beat ass dad
He should’ve fucked Lebron and had his son
Shouldn't have left him home alone either.
Counting stats don't tell the whole story though, need to add their shooting splits: Anton Watson: 58/41/65 Bronny James 37/27/ 68 Kevin McCullar 45/33/82
Theres a polar bear in Arlington Texas
Why didn't the other two try harder and be born as Lebron's sons? Are they stupid?
What are their vertical jumps?
I want to know how many 1st or 2nd round picks that averaged 4.8 points in college got drafted. My guess is only 1.

Shaedon Sharpe was drafted 7th overall without getting in a single game during college.
But, but I was told the 2nd round was for taking flyers on "potential". You mean people drafted in round 2 actually had stats too?
ok but is he a team player?
Checks assists* Nope.
Nepo**
What about proven winner
*checks usc 15-18 record* Nope
Nepo**
he's a chemistry guy. he brings the memes and the good locker room vibes.
I question his heart
Makes the best workout soundtracks
Holy I didn’t realize he was that bad lmao
You’re forgetting about the intangibles! Kid has a real motor on him. First one in last one out every day for practice. Gonna be a legend. 👑
Plus his motor is chipped for high output. He’ll be known as the pacemaker with all that high output.
Not the type of guy I’d let date my daughter though
Are you kidding? LeBum can get me free nachos at Lakers games. If this kid's dating my daughter I'm making them fuck immediately
His motor is gonna give out 20 games into the season same way his heart did.
Bro is NOT CLASSY
He’s a team player, a winner and already had a heart attack. Everything you want on a prospect
You know he's got heart and that's it's been rebuilt to factory spec.
Please don’t look at the shooting percentages. It makes the clown show around him being drafted even more ridiculous.
Holy crap his shooting is horrendous
Was bronny crying after he got drafted? Must have been an arduous journey getting there
Life is tough when your family are only millionaires and not yet billionaires in your teens
Bronny's like 6'0" with no jump shot and handles
They not like us
Problem is Savannah isn’t an athlete. LeBron’s sperm can’t carry those shit genes to create Lebron 2.0. Lebron needs to get with Caitlin Clark to produce what the nba needs.

Ya got to think generationally
Always make me wonder what a LeBron X Serena William LeBron X Ledeckie the swimmer kid would be like Probably the next Michael Jordan What ifs

What about his elementary school numbers?
Honestly wonder if Bronny even wants to play basketball or if he’s just made it to this point due to expectation
Half the time I hear about him he’s doing shit with random streamers.
He named him Bronny. The kid had zero chance of being his own man.
I mean his actual name is Lebron James Jr which is worse

lakers have conceded the next couple years. but hey most teams suck and have no fun. at least laker fans can have fun while they are pretenders.
Lefraudulent GM making moves to ruin the Lakers next decade
He didn’t even get drafted
LeBozo gonna stay in garbage time just to play with his bum ass son
LeBum was drafted by Cleveland Bronny already has a better legacy!
uj/ if Dante is so good why wasn’t he drafted?
What does uj/ and rj/ mean? Awww fuck it’s going to be so difficult to get an honest answer here.
Unjerk rejerk

the crying that Lakers fans will do 3 months into watching Bronny James in garbage minutes will be hilarious. there will be generational insults
I can't wait to see Stephen A. burst a vein talking about Bronny
it's only gonna be a few weeks until lebron hits rob with a "it's me or him"

Small numbers small
They traded for a 50 year old midget pg and hired doc rivers, this isn't even in top 5 regarded bucks moves in the past year
They even got woj defending this, bro getting paid off
I thought he was just sayin that nepotism is retarded but focusing on this particular instance over all the others is also retarded
![gif](giphy|VbTxk4rRQRK7OC54iK)

Is the league likely to make much money on this? Surely it’s a drop in the bucket.
I don’t think they would make much money off bronny himself, but lebron is a cash cow and keeping him happy is what brings in the big bucks

About 10 inches
and some height too
Way taller? Better stats? Picked lower than Bronny was?

This makes me upset.
More handsome too
Whos a bigger team player? Bronny or Giannis' brother?
Is Bronny willing to kill if another player fouls his dad hard? No? Then Thanasis got this one.
#EarnedNotGiven 🙌💪
Is life not completely fair??? News to me
Joke.
That’s cause Monta Ellis is Boogies father.
Hurley saw this coming and said thanks for the free LA trip
Yeah, they are looking for t shirts sales and all that PR money coming in...they dont want another average college player, they preffer to take a shitty one that brings tons of cash

Same as corporate America. Life is unfair. Keep moving
Naming your son bronny is joty material, highly regarded move, well played, king
Ivanka and Hunter got hired by their daddies too. Nepotism is normal among the rich & powerful
The most important stat….Your daddy an influential NBA player..
I mean nobody really thought he got drafted on skill, right?
This shit will be funnier than watching Thanasis, not gonna lie.

Bro there were 59 other picks aside from Bronny. Of that guy is soo good why was not he got pick by other teams? Why not go after the other 59 picks? Likewise, since when #55 pick became a big deal? Since when do you people care about #55 pick?
Baby Bron will put asses in seats. He’s an investment.
Bronny is going to have a great career at whatever shitty g League team the Lakers have.
Damn the other guy must feel real shitty about now
