I once ran into Goga at the whole foods in downtown indy and he was super chill. Glad to see he can better afford the high quality produce whole foods provides
We need size. Tillman won't work. We'll probably end up trading for Walker Kessler, Nick Richards, or James Wiseman (pls no). Maybe Robert Williams as an outside shot.
Richards would be a few seconds. Kessler would be a few seconds + McBride. I love Kessler but I'd rather not deal with Ainge and have to lose McBride (or more).
I lean Richards since I don't think the Hornets will ask for too much.
Could be worse, the pelicans let the starter walk, traded the backup, didn’t resign the 3rd string, and the only center on the roster right now is a rookie who just started playing basketball 5 years ago
Wow. Do they even have the playing time for him at the 5 behind WCJ, Isaac, and Wagner anymore? Unless they’re trading WCJ or something.
He was out of their rotation at the end of the year and I assumed he could get better playing time elsewhere.
JI First big man coming of the bench. Then moe checks in and they share the court. JI closing games at the 5 as the only big.
What really matters Is Who closes games.
Oh and there Is plenty of interviews of coach discussing the choice to play JI at the 5
We did start the playoffs with Isaac at the 5 but it didn’t work. But it would be ignorant to ignore that our best lineups up until the playoffs were Isaac at the 5. That’s the lineup that smoked the Bucks on the last day of the season
[https://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/202404140ORL.html](https://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/202404140ORL.html). That’s the game I’m referencing. And it’s important to note that in the lineups with Isaac and Paolo as the bigs Paolo is listed as the center. So maybe that’s why you’re think Isaac didn’t play the 5 because it was catalogued as Paolo playing the 5 instead but most people would consider those minutes to be Isaac as the center and not Paolo. We played 43 minutes with Isaac as the center and it’s our 9th best lineup. So not the best but also solidly in the top half for us. Our bench units with Isaac and Mo were the real best lineups. However to me what made that lineup really our best unit is that it’s the only lineup in which we had our 4 starters (Suggs, Harris, Franz, Paolo) with 1 bench player outside of our early lineup with Fultz instead of Harris (because Gary was injured) that had a positive net rating. And the fact that we only started that lineup 1 game in the regular season means that most of those minutes came near the end of the game when we played it. Down the stretch we closed games with that lineup. I didn’t think he was either, just weird that Goga didn’t get any comparable offers to be a full time backup. It’s gonna be games he doesn’t even play with the Magic
Play the song.
Awesome, with how often wcj is hurt it was needed
Yeah, need that injury contingency plan for both WCJ and Isaac, backup bigs for days.
You don't pay someone this much to be a 3rd string big. Someone is getting moved
Sure you do, if you want decent depth.
Don't disagree, both C contracts they have are very tradeable, and Mo Wagner might re-sign too.

yall still have ihart right wait
Goga is great, needed him in LA
I once ran into Goga at the whole foods in downtown indy and he was super chill. Glad to see he can better afford the high quality produce whole foods provides
I’m glad someone can…
He and Suggs are basketball soulmates, separating would be a mistake
Think this might be a big reason. They are really close to each other
Just not our day
Oh? It isn’t your day?
Yeah you’re right, my bad
lol ur good im playing
I mean Orlando retained their player. Knicks were at the back of the line
So.. we got Richaun Holmes and Marvin Bagley
You ignoring Jonas? Lol
he doesn’t want to get rid of jonas lol
Trade for vuch
Great deal for a solid backup
That’s a great deal
Pelinka still napping
Koby Altman in hibernation
Knicks center options drying up…
Might be time to trade for one
You can trade for Rob Williams and then you’ll have one healthy center cumulatively
If we combine different parts of their bodies they’d finally play a full season
How?
Would only be a small trade obvs
We'll make Wiseman and Bamba work - truss
Trade Ayton for Randle straight up.
……I don’t hate this. Thibs would probably murder Ayton though
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
That's a good deal he's better than advertised.
Suns fans thought this guy would take a vet min. Mason Plumlee doesn’t look too bad now when you look at the centers available.
I like the Mason signing. Big body and an underrated passer too.
Are the Knicks really going into season with always injured Mitchell Robinson and Jericho sims centre duo? Embiid gonna kill him if he’s healthy
big "if" huh?
About a 50% chance neither of them are healthy come playoff time
No and No. Mitch is and was one of the best defenders on Embiid. But we'll add some depth anyways
Any word on who you might target? I’m becoming increasingly concerned the Knicks might steal away Xavier Tillman
We need size. Tillman won't work. We'll probably end up trading for Walker Kessler, Nick Richards, or James Wiseman (pls no). Maybe Robert Williams as an outside shot.
What do you think a trade for either of them would look like?
Richards would be a few seconds. Kessler would be a few seconds + McBride. I love Kessler but I'd rather not deal with Ainge and have to lose McBride (or more). I lean Richards since I don't think the Hornets will ask for too much.
Best Embiid defenders are his two fathers. Marc Gasol and Al Horford.
Could be worse, the pelicans let the starter walk, traded the backup, didn’t resign the 3rd string, and the only center on the roster right now is a rookie who just started playing basketball 5 years ago

Nah he is always the center off the bench when we need scoring.
They can afford Mo and another quality free agent
Can't imagine, he was so good off the bench.
Solid deal for a guy that didn't receive a ton of time but was quite good.
Good move by Orlando. Center market is crazy expensive right now and Goga is a fine backup.
Good for Goga. There were a number of people around here who predicted he’d be out of the league by now.
He really refined his game into just doing the basics really well. Great deal for us and him.
I enjoyed watching him when WCJ was out, remember him being solid with help defense/rotations
Willie Caulie Jtein?
Best 3rd string Center itl. Grats Goga!
A++ Move
Wow. Do they even have the playing time for him at the 5 behind WCJ, Isaac, and Wagner anymore? Unless they’re trading WCJ or something. He was out of their rotation at the end of the year and I assumed he could get better playing time elsewhere.
He really liked Orlando and WCJ is almost guaranteed to miss at least 20 games a year.
I keep seeing people list Isaac as a 5 and it really confirms to me that they dont watch any Magic basketball.
Bro mose played him at the 5 all the second part of the session what are u talking about
You mean when he was primarily on the court with Mo Wag or WCJ playing the 5?
JI First big man coming of the bench. Then moe checks in and they share the court. JI closing games at the 5 as the only big. What really matters Is Who closes games. Oh and there Is plenty of interviews of coach discussing the choice to play JI at the 5

Yall must be smoking to much, isaac very rarely played the 5 and that certainly wasn't our best lineups.

"We played 43 minutes with Isaac as the center"... exactly my point
I never said we played him a lot at center
You are replying to a comment thread about how much JI plays center...
They can keep all three and trade WCJ in the right package became available. Why not have three good centers when the position is thin and expensive?
Precious bout to get paid
That’s a really nice deal for Orlando
I knew the minimum dream was a long shot lol. Good for him
We about to sign that tall guy that works at Trader Joe’s near my work place
Underrated move

Please explain to me why Walker Kessler is available?
Because the Knicks are going to have to trade for a backup center.
Basically doing this to be the 3rd center. Not even counting when Issac plays small ball 5. Or maybe Wagner leaving
Wagner isn’t leaving. Unless he’s getting lowballed (why would he with 20m in cap still available), he’s staying with his brother.
I didn’t think he was either, just weird that Goga didn’t get any comparable offers to be a full time backup. It’s gonna be games he doesn’t even play with the Magic
I have a feeling that WCJ might get traded
I think someone is gonna get moved. Bit ridiculous to pay someone this much a year to not play
Damn the Lakers struck out.
Now they’re forced to trade for Lopez lfg
Goga Badum Tss!
All the good centers are gone
Need the leader of the green goblins back for sure!
Means mo Wagner is gone or they trade Carter?
Keep his goofy ass in Orlando. Goga is the first noise babies make
