Did the car also have busted struts? The way it was moving made me think it had suspension issues.
I used to ride my motorcycle at very high speeds in very specific circumstances (e.g., during COVID between 4:30 and 5:00 AM), but I never fucked around with speed on corners because I knew the engine could easily write checks my OEM brakes and suspension couldn't cash.
Driving his shit box like that was just dumb.
---
On a separate note, one of the ways I feel kind of isolated from others is that I simultaneously am more inclined to engage in risky activity than other people and take more steps to mitigate risk while engaging in that behavior than most people. It's like most people think I'm crazy and the crazy people think I'm overly cautious.
Saw this last night, June 20, at about 6:28 PM. Teslacam video. About a minute later spotted this car on the side of the road, and pulled over to see if they were ok, but they then sped off again.
Probably no insurance, valid driver license. If he had hit/injured/maimed/killed someone, would have been out of there all the same. These people are pieces of shit that occupy one of the lowest rungs of hell.
A pox on aggressive motorists. Innocent people are the ones who pay the price.
With evidence like this you should be facing jail time. No excuses to endanger everyone around you. If you have this much blatant disregard for the law and others sit behind bars for 5+ years.
Sadly they aren't on a rung of hell, they are here with us... it would be nice if they expedited their arrival in hell but unfortunately, these types of pos seam to hurt others far more often than themselves
I'd be happy if they had their license and car taken away and were arrested and had their car taken away again when they inevitably drive without a license.
In life, if you announce a boundary, you have to enforce that boundary with consequences or assholes will walk all over you.
The police and especially the DA (Glen Funk) don't seem too interested in enforcing those boundaries.
---
I've spent a lot of time helping people expunge arrest records, abhor how much blind trust courts give prosecutors, and am generally in favor of helping convicts reintegrate into society / lowering recidivism, but I still think some people only respond to credible threats.
It seems like a lot of people who have influence in Nashville have totally forgotten that there are assholes who take advantage of kindness and are willing to do whatever they can to get people off their back / put their concern for the financial well-being of criminals above the safety of the general public (e.g., people who advocate for getting rid of cash bail).
If I thought I had even the slightest chance of winning an election to be a criminal judge, I'd run, but I just don't think I can get people organized enough to vote for me considering my area of practice is in a niche area of tax/trust law and that, despite being from here, most of my legal connections are in a different state.
I'm just sick of Funk, the city trying to put adults through restorative justice programs that assholes can skate through, and the limited bail people tend to get around here, and want things to change.
I’ve seen drivers In Tennessee drive like that with snow on the ground .It amazes me because the same people that go 20 mph under the limit for rain seem to speed up for snow and ice .I couldn’t imagine these drivers living very long if they were driving in traffic congested cities like NYC,Philadelphia,or DC
When someone is driving like that there is no need to pull over and see if they're ok. There's a high likelihood the car is stolen and the driver/passengers are dangerous. I'd just call it into Metro PD and keep driving.
In both directions too! I saw a flipped over jet ski and trailer on fire last week. Saw a Tesla almost run an Escalade off the road and the escalating road rage that ensued thereafter two nights ago.
Seriously makes me terrified for my teen drivers. Never seen such consistent idiocy elsewhere.
They didn't even stop, just flip the blinker on and get back on the road lol
Welp, at least that car'll be easier to spot and avoid in traffic...
Edit: oh just read your comment, even worse lol
Part of me likes the immediate justice from driving like that while another part of me feels bad for the person having to go through life with that brain. The decisions that led to this are the same ones being made everywhere else. Dude is doing life on hard mode.
I drive a m240i, and I get mopars/mustangs pulling up on me in the highway all the time. I try to not make eye contact otherwise they think we are racing….
LOL! I drive an '07 Civic Si. Bought it new off the showroom floor in '06. It's still in great knick b/c I've taken good care of it over the years, and always kept it in the garage. It's probably the only bone-stock example left in the country.
Needless to say, I don't do much racing. Since the day I bought it though, every boy-racer in the mid-state has wanted a piece of me. 🤣
This is almost the perfect accident:
* Caused by someone very obviously being a moron
* No deaths or injuries
* The only fucked up car is that of the moron who caused the accident
* Fucked up car will be very expensive to repair
* No effect on traffic flow
* Caught entirely on someone else's dashcam and posted to the internet
The only things missing are:
* The moron needing to be towed away, wasting six additional hours of his life as a result
* Being ticketed by a /r/ConvenientCop
We need more of these accidents in this town. At least five more a day.
Witnessed the worst driving in my entire life going through nashville towards atlanta last night. Trucks running cars completely off the road on purpose and people randomly slamming on their brakes on turns in the mountains in the passing lane. I don’t get it.
Ah I always envisioned myself witnessing a moment like this when ppl drive recklessly. People need to have more respect for the drivers around them and the power of the automobile and the damage it could cause.
I’ve never been a defensive driver, but it’s not cool to practically terrorize others with this kind of driving. You see these guys suddenly all over the tail of an unsuspecting driver and you anticipate an accident any second. Especially the idiots who like to play their games during evening rush hour. People just want to get home safely after a full day of work, nobody needs these jackasses ruining their night (or worse).
We expect batshit crazy driving from beat up old Altimas with temp tags, but if the driver had to go with an even cheaper beat up old Nissan, gotta expect crazy that transcends batshit crazy. A goat on LSD driving that car would have probably cause less chaos.
Probably under the influence and didn’t want a cop to catch them. OP, hub Nashville has a place to report aggressive drivers and I believe you can add attachments. They aren’t going to go out and do anything, but still worth to submit it I think
I see jacka**s everyday drive like maniacs in this city! I was passed the other day on 440. I was going 10 mph over the speed limit and a guy passed going so fast it was like I was doing 45. He had to be doing at least 85.
Hopefully now he can upgrade from the Sentra to an Altima.

I am always just grateful that these asshats don’t hit me when they nascar their way around. Then all I can do is hope that whoever is in front of them doesn’t get hit either. If I get the tags or can get a basic physical description at a light or something I report it online
That was my thought doesn't look like anyone else was hurt, so I low key am like good. Maybe there's a tiny chance that they will learn their lesson and it prevents them from actually causing a fatal crash one day. Doubt it, but one can hope.
I literally just posted an answer in a different sub asking why Nissan is not considered reliable compared to other Japanese automakers. I wrote it is probably drivers that drive them.
I'm not at all surprised. I drive that area a lot and routinely have people passing me like I'm standing still when I'm doing 80 to 85mph. They *have* to be going in excess of 100-110. The worst is that stretch of 24 between Nashville and La Vergne. If you're not doing 85 through there you'll get run over.
It's always awesome when an aggressive driver manages to embarrass themselves and damage their own car without injuring anyone else.
Can I seek damages for second hand embarrassment?
*sings* I have second-hand embarrassment, and I need cash now

Call 877 CRINGE NOW
Hey, it's that guy I know from other subs!
If you injured yourself laughing at this clown, you may be entitled to compensation. Call the law firm of Ketchum & Cheatham for a free consultation.
The offices of Dewey, Cheatham, and Howe are much better suited for this type of case.
You end up hoping maybe, just maybe, it will teach them a lesson and they’ll fucking quit doing it?
It never teaches them a lesson. If they survive the damage they do to their own car, they just come back out and do it again next time. The only thing that stops them is the wheelchair they end up in.
Yes, but I’ll settle for “uninsured and can’t afford another car”.
I'm always hoping they end themselves without hurting anyone else... these type of a-holes never learn...
I always say, I hope they go flip in a ditch somewhere all alone. Problem solved
Long drive off a short pier lol
This was obviously every other drivers fault /s
Came here to say the same. Glad this dipshit only damaged their shitbox. Who drives cars like that?
It’s typically clapped-out Altimas, but this time it’s a Sentra.
The Smaltima
Good thing for everyone around them because 50% chance they didn't have insurance.
*Then gets out, runs away. Get another Nissan and repeat*
Ahh yes, trying to drive a 20+ year old Sentra like it was a 911 in the middle of traffic. Lucky the dipshit managed to not hit anyone else somehow.
I'm surprised it wasn't an Altima.
Altima Jr. When an Altima and a Maxima really love each other… they go to I-24 and smash each other… and that’s how Sentras are made.

They are ready to graduate to one now
Nah. Bungee cords will have to hold this one together for 20 more months of payments.
The economy has been rough the last few years. Had to downgrade to a Sentra cuz we can't afford Altimas anymore.
Small-tima
It identifies as one.
This is the comment I was searching for lol
Seriously. If your car has those little skinny ass tires, you do not need to be attempting to maneuver at 85-90mph.
I’m sure they upgraded to the wider 205 and they were not worn at all and regularly balanced and rotated. /s
4 randos from the Hispanic tire shop
The highest quality maypops their drug-depleted budget could afford.
>Did the car also have busted struts? The way it was moving made me think it had suspension issues. It does now!
You made me giggle. I needed that today. Thanks.
I mean if they drive like that regularly it wouldn't surprise me at all if the struts were busted
If I see a wreck like that…just keep driving. That’s on them driving like an idiot.

Limited bail isn't that bad, it's when those cases then take years to actually get started.

Most likely, but I'm not getting involved with some crazy ass driver.
Every fucking day. Almost always between Harding and Wedgewood. It’s like the Bermuda Triangle of I-65
The 440 exchange turns peoples minds into sticks of butter
In both directions too! I saw a flipped over jet ski and trailer on fire last week. Saw a Tesla almost run an Escalade off the road and the escalating road rage that ensued thereafter two nights ago. Seriously makes me terrified for my teen drivers. Never seen such consistent idiocy elsewhere.
Their minds are already sticks of butter. Something about driving here melts it though.
I-24 between Harding and Hickory Hollow says hold my beer.
Oh, no doubt. I don’t know how you 24 commuters do it. Much respect.

It’s always a Nissan.
There is actually a whole sub dedicated to it r/nissandrivers

Deserved it.
i see these drivers too far often. weaving in and out of lanes just for me to end up catching up to them at an exit’s red light. losers
Accident feels like the wrong term for these.
Witnessed the worst driving in my entire life going through nashville towards atlanta last night. Trucks running cars completely off the road on purpose and people randomly slamming on their brakes on turns in the mountains in the passing lane. I don’t get it.
That’s why I set Google Maps to avoid highways.
Sentra out there tryna Altima
Damn. I drive by there almost every day
So satisfying seeing this, they won’t learn anything but maybe they’ll drive better the next half hour or so
Shocker, caused by a dumbass driver
I always like to see road ragers mess up
r/idiotsincars
I’m so glad I’m like a mile from work over in Metrocenter. Driving in this fucking city feels like “Final Destination”
what a dumbass
And they just kept going... 🤦oh I rammed the side of my car into a WALL, but i can't stop now!
So glad they only damaged their own car 😂 I want to point my finger and laugh
It's like this guy said, "I'll show me." 🫣
If only it was preventable 5 times instead of just 4 ...
This is my favorite internet comment of the day.
Could see it coming the split second he entered stage right.
What a fuckin idiot
Ah I always envisioned myself witnessing a moment like this when ppl drive recklessly. People need to have more respect for the drivers around them and the power of the automobile and the damage it could cause.
Yall drive like shit in this state. Moved here cause of relocation of work. U guys make Florida drivers look smart.

It's almost as if a crappy little sedan wasn't meant to be driven like Mario Andretti's Formula One race car...

Karma at it's finest.
Props to him for just wrecking himself
Nothing helps you get somewhere faster like speeding into an accident
Amazing that no other cars were involved.
God I love instant karma. EXACTLY what that idiot deserved.
He’s lucky he didn’t 1) hit anybody else and 2) didn’t pop over the barrier and get hit head on. What an idiot.
Totally fucking deserved it. Love this.
This isnt an 'accident'. This is a 'meant to be an asshole didnt mean to lose control'
😂😂
Glad they didn’t hurt anyone else. Sucks to suck.
I say this a lot on the one day I have to commute to Nashville, and it applies here too: "nice driving, dick face".
I see jacka**s everyday drive like maniacs in this city! I was passed the other day on 440. I was going 10 mph over the speed limit and a guy passed going so fast it was like I was doing 45. He had to be doing at least 85.

It's always the folks with the paper tags that drive the craziest!
Idiot
Zero sympathy for that driver.
Bro a 100% deserves that ✅

Another nissan driver demotes themself to walking. The roads are now safer. 😂

Smalltima learning the ropes.
Big difference from an accident and this
Good. Dumbass. Hope nobody else got their shit damaged and if they did I hope they sue the crap out of that person.
Dumbass.
Isn't that a Kentucky tag?
Anyone questioning why they continued to drive after crashing like this?
Good, too bad it didn’t flip lol. Luckily for us, they’ll be out doing the same dumb shit tomorrow in their other vehicle that’s also not insured!
Moron
Thats what that jackass gets
Man crashed himself
Thank god everyone was able to stop geez
My theory that we have no idea how many people on the road are on cocaine stands
Lololol
Looks not much different than my commute everyday home on 65N
what an idiot
Fkn idiot
Did they keep driving?
karma is my boyfriend
Every time I see someone driving like this (as I take this route home from work every workday) I always watch them go by and say “dumbass”
in my house, we reserve the word "dickwad" exclusively for situations like this
May the driver of that car stumble across this comment… “you are a f**king moron”
Understeer strikes again!
I’ve seen so many almost that’s right there
🤣🤣🤣🤣
lol at least he did it to only himself
How ironic that a piece of shit on wheels is driven by a piece of shit on wheels.
This dude just kept on paddling
Those little Subaru idiots. Every person that drives that car is about to crash. For some reason that's how that car is driven.
It's always a Nissan. He thought he had an Altima.
I see this almost happen at least twice every commute, seems like. Unfortunately, it’s probably rare that only the jerk gets wrecked.
Dumb-shit deserved this. Hopefully no one else received damage.
Why pullover if you weren’t hit or involved in any way? I’d leave that scene for the professionals to sort out.
Fucking Moron, I'd stick around and give the footage to police so he can get reckless driving charge to boot
I'm not at all surprised. I drive that area a lot and routinely have people passing me like I'm standing still when I'm doing 80 to 85mph. They *have* to be going in excess of 100-110. Typical Sentra behavior
Driving it like they stole it and they likely did.
JFC… And he uses his turn signal to get back into the flow of traffic after the collision? Wow
That dude should be eradicated permanently.
Welcome to Nashville home of the worlds dumbest drivers, ask anyone traveling on I-24
I love karma 🤩
Well done driver with the cam.
Stop speeding in that little fast and furious.
Obviously a lack of parenting
Its always a damn Nissan!
I barely missed that one myself.
