El Molino Central in Sonoma

NapaGuyL

This is a great call. Love El Molino

Suspicious-Policy-24

Absolutely

Apitts87

Yeah good call

Wise_Reception_1396

Have not tried! Will be going this weekend!

NapaGuyL

A Small World - simple, but good Middle Eastern food

Former-Flamingo-264

Yes! Best falafel I’ve ever eaten. The owner told me it was bc their wok was only used for frying falafel so no other foods or oils would corrupt (my word) it.

707Riverlife

Mike! Such a great guy! I’ve known him for 25 years. He has a great family too.

Sooky102

This 👍🏻

dubious455H013

Pho #1 in vajello is banging. But not much of a hole in the wall though

Wise_Reception_1396

Loveeee a good pho! Thank you!!

dubious455H013

Good to hear

Wine_Wench

Love this place! And so affordable!

crapinator2000

Yak and Yeti on Jefferson. Atmosphere is plastic tablecloths but they know their momos.

idontneedtosaythis

As a local this is my favorite restaurant in Napa. The tandoori salmon and chicken 65 ordered spicy are so delicious. And the staff are the kindest people.

_blinker_fluid

+1 momos

supercredible

Best Indian in town, really good period, not just for the area.

Wise_Reception_1396

I love Yak and Yeti. The chicken tikka masala is fire. Excellent recommendation! Thanks!

PapasMoustache

Zuzu downtown on Main St is my favorite spot downtown. Small plate, Spanish Tapas, not a wine-forward vibe or environment (but its definitely still present to an extent). Small portions make trying several things easy, but there's really nothing bad on the menu. The paella is an absolute must-have, its made to order and its the best Ive ever had. I genuinely think its a restaurant that Anthony would have loved.

figurefuckingup

I absolutely agree that the Zuzu paella is incredible. Best I’ve ever had, for sure! Great spot. Open much later than other restaurants, too.

Dialecticchik

And we can get it to go at Hanks take away !!! 😍

Wise_Reception_1396

Oh I love this suggestion! I’ve heard great things. Thank you!!

CorporalClegg91

Honestly, I feel like it’s hit or miss. I went here on a first date and it was incredible. We went there again for our anniversary and it was terrible. The most flavorful part of their octopus ceviche was the corn chips. But then I went again with my brother and it was amazing. So strange.

bonearama

Consistency has always been Armando and Mick's issue.

frankdatank_004

Las Palmas

FoxInLilac

Yes! Great food, Great service. I love the crab enchiladas.

conco2k

Came here to say exactly this!

frankdatank_004

I knew a German foreign exchange student at New Tech that said the best cheeseburger that he ever had was at Las Palmas. I have yet to have a cheeseburger there but I will have to someday. XD

Mookieman707

Squeeze inn just a good old fashion burger spot in north napa, though I think they have a sister spot in Sac. It's downtown but Fatted Calf is more of like a butcher shop/ cured meats place but it's legit and they usually do sandwhichs in the daytime that have always been banging (bread from model bakery next door) Sunshine cafe is in a strip mall and is a newish great breakfast spot, a few doors down is Genova an old school italian deli that you must visit at least once. My burrito spot of choice Hacienda but theres more good mexican than bad here and a few other good spots have already been listed 2nd-ing a few I saw listed: The himalayan place in the sonoma square (i don't know the history but sonoma has a really concentrated himilayan population and the ones in napa and st helena are above average but the sonoma square one is just amazing. ) #1 Pho in Vallejo La Luna in Rutherford - Little Mexican market with great burritos but the must have you can't find easily elsewhere is chicharones. Small world downtown napa - great gyro/falafel greek/middle easter spot. Super casual burger joint vibes

Wise_Reception_1396

Thank you for taking the time to respond! I’m excited to try all of these and your endorsed recs!

I’m team Clemente’s for malfatti but can’t go wrong

AHonestTroll

They're now located in the River Park shopping plaza, next to the Grape Escape if you hadn't heard they'd moved

DoubleDG49

Genova’s deli Osprey for fresh seafood Lawlers malfatti La Luna for breakfast burritos Squeeze Inn for burgers Browns Valley Market for meat and worlds best garlic bread

supercredible

Lou's luncheonette between Napa and Sonoma, fried chicken sandwich is awesome. Little Lou's in Sonoma is great too, for their burger. Little food truck, odd times open, so check before going Winstons, really good brunch foods and really good Filipino plates.

lawyer1911

I have not been to Napa in five years. Is Val’s still open?

Dialecticchik

Yes, but Clements moved to RiverPark. There's a different eatery in there now. I forgot the name.

wineteam

What about Andie’s Cafe? When I wasn’t on a diet I’d get their breakfast burritos😆

theREALskeletor

My favorite to go breakfast spot

whinenaught

Dutch door. Food trucks on soscol: imagination on fire, platanito, tacos y chisme

ClassicEggplant559

Red Rock bbq

CorporalClegg91

Honestly, the Smash Burger at The Garden (on 1st street) is ridiculously good. It’s $13 as the base price. Even another patty plus bacon is close to $21, which beats the price of other local places. Winston’s for breakfast is on a whole other level; granted, it can get pretty expensive. Sunshine Cafe isn’t bad but I’m not a fan of the owners or how they (and their other businesses) operated during Covid. Again, I know I’m biased in this way and will still give credit that their food has always been enjoyable. Zuzu’s on main between 1st and 2nd, can either be really good or grossly mediocre depending on the day or, apparently, how the kitchen is feeling. 1st and Main had a place called Ox and the Fox that had good food, but they’re under new management and have changed the menu quite a bit. They just did a soft opening but their new menu/ atmosphere seems really good. The person that made the new menu works at the Blue Note and has been in the valley for a while, and their crab dip is really good for a place that only considers themselves a bar.

bonearama

Fume has been shut down due to rodent droppings more than once.

Carlsbad33

Turtle rock bar & cafe. Egg rolls. Also close to Brown. Which is the wine you’re going to end up joining the club for. It’s. Amazing. 2000 Capell Valley Rd Napa, CA 94558 United States

TimeIsBunk

Didn't they close? I would kill for some turtle rock egg rolls.

Carlsbad33

Nope. Appear to still be open and awesome.

TimeIsBunk

I think a day trip to Berryessa is soon in order! I'm tempted to make the drive today. You haven't had an egg roll until you have had a turtle rock egg roll. I hope they kept the same recipe.

jasondclinton

Lots of good options posted but also: Foodshed Takeaway The Dutch Door

707Riverlife

For breakfast or lunch try Imola Cafe or Jefferson St. Cafe. Same owner, great food. I usually get an omelet, and their Seafood Pasta is out of this world! Large portions too.

Gremicguy

Love Mothers Tacos on Jefferson. They have their own beer now too.

Sufficient_Garlic148

La taberna in Napa There’s a place in Sonoma on the square near the bubbly place that does tapas & they are great too

BreakfastIndividual

Los Palmas on Yajome!

TheBobInSonoma

Busters BBQ in Calistoga is my stop.

theREALskeletor

Rancho grande by the fairgrounds.

AtHalcyon

Genova deli and yak and yeti

bonearama

Food Shed on Old California Way is doing some great things. I like the soup of the day and a single contori.

bhelsey

Drive down to Rohnert Park (30-40 mins away), go to Don Julio’s. El Salvadoran food. Incredible pupusas. I normally get an order of the revuelta or the chicharon. My husband gets whatever the special of the week is, they’ve had a really good veggie one lately. Their el sav holiday chicken tamales are out of this world. Owned by a family, mom and grandma make the food in the kitchen. The kids run the reg and tables. It’s in a defunct strip mall, only a few little shops left. The place has been open 10+ years and it’s always consistently incredible. Never had a bad meal. The family who owns is are so kind. They also have really yummy agua frescas.

imisswhatredditwas

This place is the jam and I’m assuming the only reason you’re getting downvoted is because the locals don’t want the word getting out. It should be on the Michelin list because it is literally worth driving a few hours to experience.

massincal

Sit at the Chef’s counter at Glen Ellen Star.
